Listen closely. I want to tell you a secret. . . .

My name is Mae. I love the ocean and the sun and the clouds. I love climbing trees and collecting flowers. I love adventure. But that isn't the secret. The secret is that when I was little, me and my younger sister Annie lived in our own world. A world we created ourselves. People called our world Imagination. A beautiful name, don't you think? Everything in Imagination was exactly how we wanted it to be. It was perfect. The kingdom was perfect. The people were perfect. The landscape was perfect. Imagination was all I wanted and all I needed—that is, until it wasn't. My questions and thirst for the truth began to cloud my mind. And with so much doubt, could Imagination even survive?

Very sweet, engaging, and lovely story about two sisters and their imagination and growing up. Recommend for older kids, tweens, and still good for teens and adults that want an enjoyable read with some fun characters.

This was a cute story for older kids/tweens. It was well written and very descriptive. Some of the vocabulary might be a little tricky for kids.
