Divorce Daniel?: My survival depended on it.

Rate this book
Carol Marie Eddy shares a vulnerable, sarcastic, and humorous account of her marriage experience. After years of dealing with a depressed, crossdressing, narcissistic spouse, Carol's divorce significantly improved her life.

Like many couples, Carol Eddy and her then-husband Daniel looked excitedly to the future when they first got married. However, their relationship devolved when Carol asserted what she needed and Daniel failed to put in any kind of hard work to deliver.

It became clear to Carol that she'd be the only one sacrificing parts of herself to keep the marriage together. In Divorce Daniel?, readers will get a first-hand account of the moments and memories that spurred Carol to advocate for herself, her physical and mental health, and her happiness.

Within the book, readers can expect to

Carol's winding journey along the difficult, lonely, and sometimes frightening path to be on her own.Journal entries from Carol describing her resolve.A collection of true experiences that Carol endured until achieving her freedom. With Divorce Daniel?, Carol hopes her story helps others recognize things in their life - that they cannot change - and gives them the strength to walk away from situations that aren't in their best interest.

This is a great book for married individuals between 25 and 65 years old. Written for women, divorced wives will find a relatable narrative and similar experiences to their own. Carol's writing feels like talking to an old friend; one that wants you to have an independent and fulfilling life outside of a relationship.

Don't miss Carol's debut memoir and learn the true meaning of taking care of yourself. After all, you can't make anyone do what you want. They have to want it for themselves.

Easy Read and Very Informing

For those of us who have been in a relationship with a narcissist, and survived, it is comforting to know that others have survived as well. I found this book very relatable and an easy read. I would highly recommend it to those who are still in a relationship with a narcissist, and struggling to overcome it, as it will help them hopefully make the right choice to move on.

Heartbreaking that someone can be so narcissist. This read will help someone understand that you cannot change someone if they don't want to work on themselves. This is a good read if you are in a cross road in your life with your partner, it may help you realize you can't fix someone who is broken.

I just finished this book! I found it to be so well written, and Carol Marie is honest, caring, funny, and strong! So strong even though she might not always see herself that way! I can see that writing this book was therapeutic and Carol Marie is a survivor, surrounded by her family and friends. Well, except for Daniel, but there would not be a story to tell without him, as painful as it was.
