I live on borrowed time. Every thirty days, my world resets. My memories vanish, and the curse begins again, erasing every new memory I've made. I remember who I am, who my family are, and the day my father disappeared in Gryffyn Forest, taking the truth with him. Everything else vanishes with the new moon. Desperate to break the curse, I cast a forbidden blood spell beneath the Phantom Moon. But instead of saving me, it catches the attention of a monster.
Wolfe Nightblade. Cursed Fae prince. Deathwalker. Shadow-wielding heir to a haunted throne. My villain. He believes I'm the key to reclaiming the stolen ring that shattered his soul and cost him his kingdom. He takes me captive to prove it. But something twisted happens between us when he touches me. Undeniable attraction pulls us together and a bond forms that neither of us expect.
Every stolen touch, every broken rule, every forbidden kiss with my Hades feels like sin and salvation entwined.
Soon my villain becomes a memory I want to keep. But the curse won't wait. When the reset comes, I'll forget that I ever loved him and that he's the only one who can set me free. But forgetting might be the least of my worries. While I'm trapped in this endless cycle, enemies on both sides are closing in, and a bloodthirsty war is brewing.

Khardine Gray is a USA Today Bestselling author who also writes under the pen name Faith Summers. Khardine lives in England with her husband and two adventurous kids. She writes contemporary romance, dark romantic suspense, and dark new adult romance. Her books have sassy heroines and sexy, drool-worthy book boyfriends who will make you melt. She simply adores her readers and loves spoiling them. When she’s not writing or reading, you can find her in a ballet class or ice skating.
Well, colour me surprised. Cursed Evermore wasn’t at all what I expected. I picked it up thinking I’d get your standard dark romantasy with a brooding fae and a cursed heroine. But nope. This book decided to throw about five layers of intrigue at me, and honestly, I kind of loved that part. You think it’s one mystery and then, bam, another one sneaks in like it’s been waiting its turn.
Now, full disclosure. There were moments I found this book long. Like, “maybe I should stretch before turning another page” kind of long. Nearly 900 pages, my attention span both suffered slightly.
The heroine… hmm. She tested my patience a few times. Not quite a doormat, but definitely a bit too trusting. You know that moment when a character gets told “be careful who you trust” and then five seconds later she’s pouring her heart out to the first suspicious stranger? Yeah. That. Maybe I’m judging her too harshly. Maybe she’s just loyal to a fault. But still, girl, please.
And Wolfe? Let’s just say he’s very much the possessive, dominant type. A little too much for my taste sometimes. But I can see why some readers will absolutely eat that up.
That said, the world-building and intrigue kept me hooked. The whole “curse and memory reset” concept is just chef’s kiss creative. For fantasy lovers who like dark vibes, slow-burn tension, and morally grey everything, this one definitely deserves to be discovered.
listen... i devoured this book. when i was unable to read it, all i could do was think about getting home so i could read it. it's so unique and still, somehow has everything you want in a dark romantasy story. the dedication alone had me absolutely hooked!! i hate that i let it sit on my tbr for as long as i did because now, i can't even fathom having to wait for the second book to release.
After getting this book I was surprised how many pages this book has, but everytime I started reading it, I couldn't stop reading and was flying through it.
Both Elariya and Wolfe got a place in my heart. Their pasts are so heartbreaking and seeing them open up to each other more and more, was so precious to read about. Elariya is such a strong and wonderful woman and Wolfe is dark, powerful and Elariya is his light. Putting a time limit on what was happening, because of her reset after 30 days, made the story even better and running out of time, literally. Adding in his friends, especially Arielle and the dragons, makes the story whole.
It is such a great fantasy story to read. Dark but also full of passion. With some twists happening and me discovering as a reader more and more because of them and because of other things happening. But the ending! No!I can't wait to read the next book in this series, because I need to know what is going to happen next.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I agreed to read this book. This is totally different from Ms. Gray's previous work. She didn't disappoint. The storyline was well thought out, planned and developed. It flowed smoothly for the majority of the book. I did feel that it did drag for me in the middle; however, I was still hooked. The main characters were well-developed, easily relatable. Their chemistry burned the pages of the book until it explodes into a full-blown inferno. Her descriptions were so detailed you could visualize everything. Twist and turns you didn't see coming right up until the cliffhanger at the end. That last one surprised me - I didn't even see it coming. Not even on my radar. I'm excited for book 2. Please don't keep us waiting too long, Ms. Gray.

Oh my freaking goodness... I didn't expect the heart-racing, soul touching ride that I got to experience with this book. When I started it, I didn't at all see the wild roller-coaster that was waiting for me filled with intrigue, mystique and magic and a love... Oh my... A love that burns brighter and fiercer than anything else. I'M FREAKING OBSESSED WITH WOLFE AND ELARIYA AND THIS ENTIRE BOOK. 😍😍
It's quite a big book but oh so delicious one with each page building up the mystery and the passion to a level you wouldn't even have anticipated at all.
I don't even know where to start with because believe me this book has layers upon layers of build-up, story and twists so crazy that my head was spinning.
But what I loved the most is that our author makes us a part of the Fae realms and a part of Elariya and Wolfe's world with each chapter that we progress with because we get to know each and every motive, secrets and why they are the way they are and HOW FREAKING HIGH THE STAKES ARE AND I MEAN SKY HIGH AND BEYOND.
So, I'll try my best to be consise about the story. Elariya is half human and half mage and five years ago something happened that she was afflicted with a curse that resets her memory every 30 days.
Then there's Wolfe Nightblade, Fae prince and the real to be King yet when he lost his father in the most horrible way, he also lost their family ring that's bonded to them and has the dragon's essence and can only be worn by their family's son, gets lost and with it his main power.
Lord Nightblade, is a 300 year old Fae prince and he too is afflicted with a curse that makes him the d£@th shadow and he desperately needs the ring to save his kingdom and not lose himself.
We have lots of politics too as Wolfe has to bend for his uncle who's taken the throne for now and plays his own games.
Somehow, Wolfe's wraith tracker takes him to elariya as the one whose blood is linked to the blood of the original ring stealer.
Ahhh.. The freaking magical adventure ride that we get to experience is so fascinating and amazing and I felt like I was watching a magical movie with everything that happens.
So many scenes that took my breath away, had me utterly gripped and had me gasping and wide-eyed so many times.
We go from human realm to the Fae kingdom and passing the veil, the so-called barrier for transporting into the Fae realm was OH MY GOODNESS....
There's so much that happens there too and right till the last page of this book that added magical action packed ride to the list of things this book packs a punch with.
I have devoured and savored this book and I really didn't want it to end but also couldn't wait to see what adventure would find me on the next page.
And I haven't even started on the tension and chemistry between Wolfe and Elariya. Right from the start, the push and pull, the breath-taking moments between them, the Enemies-to-Lovers vibes and ahhhh..... Just EVERYTHING that happens between them.😍💥💥💥 They were SCORCHING TOGETHER... I MEAN... OH MY🌶️🔥🥵♨️
We have mysterious magical powers, Dragons, lots of mystical twists and so much more is going on... Let me say, our author has build a immensely INSANE, FASCINATING AND BEWITCHING world with this book that will not let go of you at all. There's so much I want to still say but I'll need a whole other ranting session for that.
THEN THERE'S THAT ENDING.... WHATTTTTTTTT..... YES IT'S THAT CRAZY AND HAD ME SO SHOCKED. 😲😱😱😱😱 I NEED THE NEXT BOOK LIKE RIGHT NOW.... Oh my.... I seriously can't wait for the next book.... What a truly Epic ride. Abso-freaking-lutely loved loved this one.
So many things wrong here and I can’t believe I read the whole thing and getting stuck on that cliffhanger.
I mean where do I start? The fae using modern day human cuss words nonstop when the mortal world is still using horse-drawn carriages (the fae use magic elk, but same difference) and one magic realm woman even uses the phrase “easy peasy”???
The fact that our virginal human gal has unknown massive magical skills (loads, apparently) all incredibly rare and she just keeps adding new ones?
The fact she’s kidnapped by a cruelly possessive jerk who teases how he can’t cross the line with her in to sex (she’s a thing to be used and then killed as he’s the future king and just kidnapping her is already breaking too many rules- only to constantly and crudely talk about how he’d ruin her for anyone else before then crossing said line and then start calling it love when it’s just graphic and brutal sex non-stop for hours and hours and hours? Seriously? She shouldn’t even be able to move without serious pain long before she’s hopping out of bed and skipping off to go learn more magic.
Or how the absolutely massive boobs on her tiny body still manage to defy gravity without causing back issues (with no bra, btw) or the fact that not only does our lead male want her, but hey, his best friend is trying to jump aboard as well? Not to mention the sex is just repeating the same stuff over and over in different locations. For a guy who talks up his skills as he does and how he’s essentially had 300 years and countless women to work it out, he really is stuck in a blah rut. The author has you wait for like 80% of the book before the guy gets to have his way and I actually wanted to laugh when they got there because it just wasn’t worth the wind-up.
Oh, let’s not forget the other egotistical jerk back in the mortal realm who essentially bought her off her family in an arranged marriage just around the corner, even though he’s still messing around with a handful of barmaids at a time before stopping by to see his “saving myself for someone special, but hey, fae boy was hot so maybe give my virginity to that guy” while the fiancé is downstairs at the engagement party?
Or how about the plot where everything AND the kitchen sink are crammed in there- we have easily a half-dozen elements for it to remotely make sense. She l’s spent the last five years with her memory resetting every thirty days so she wakes up thinking she’s fifteen again and watching her father’s supposed death yet again? I mean really, waking up after a days of shocked unconsciousness to thinking your 15 only to quickly read all of your years of journals as well as grandma’s and be okay with finding out you’re actually old enough to hang in taverns getting drunk and lusting over guys you’re no longer jailbait for?
And when she reaches the magical world and starts going to a magic university- I’m sorry, but there are literal chunks describing Hogwarts (I mean the magic college in faeville) borrowed heavily from JK Rowling. Really- a college that says the headmistress herself is going to teach you and to just show up whenever you want because even though we’re a serious school that’s essentially Ivy League, hey, because the Fae Prince himself got you in, we’re happy to just work around your schedule rather than our own… it’s not like the headmistress has anything better to do.
I could go on and on and on on how nothing remotely makes sense, there are far too many real villains running around (and that’s not even counting Wolfe and his closest men) and how everyone and their dog wants in her panties. And the fact that time and again she comments “I can’t believe how much has happened these last couple of weeks- I feel like I’ve lived an entire lifetime since you all kidnapped me”.
But most of all, bigger fool me for actually finishing this silly thing before realizing this is a planned trilogy with months before the second book even comes out. Yeah, I get stupid on nights my insomnia keeps me awake and massively bored- yes, that is my excuse and I’m running with it.
Thank goodness I can’t even remember the title now that I’m writing this and won’t even remember this book long before book two comes out… no matter how WTH was up with that ending this is a thankfully momentary blip on my raydar thanks to my Swiss-cheese memory and how many books I devour in a year.
She’s written loads, so there must be a loyal fan base out there… I’m just not one of them. But feel free to comment and set me straight if you’d like, I don’t mind at all.
Elariya Grayson was fifteen when she witenssed her father’s disappearance in Gryffyn Forest and became victim to a cruel curse. Every thirty days she relives her father being taken by a black cloud, and her memories are erased. After five years she casts a forbidden spell in hopes of breaking the curse, instead she captures the attention of Wolfe Nightblade. Wolfe has been looking for a way to break the curse that began the day of his father’s death. He is a Fae prince, a Deathwalker, and heir to a throne he cannot claim. He thought she would have the answers he needed but quickly realizes that she has no memories of what he needs to break both their curses. They wanted to hate each other, yet they are drawn to each other and then can’t imagine living without each other. As the day of Elariya’s reset grows closer she can’t imagine forgetting her dark prince, and he dreads returning her to her family. I loved this book, and the characters are all well written with multifaceted personalities that drew me in and kept me engrossed until the end. This is a very long book, but worth every minute spent immersed within its pages. It is a steamy dark fantasy romance in a fascinating and complex world of magic, dragons, fae, and plenty of twists in the plot that kept me engaged until the last page. I recommend this book to any lover of fantasy romance.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary ARC provided by Book Sprout.
There are so many typos in this book. I'm pretty sure the author changed a character's last name and did a global search and replace. However, they included the trailing space and every time this character's name shows up, it's strung together with the next word. This should have been caught.
Paragraphs suddenly end in the middle of the sentence and a new paragraph begins. Wrong words were used, such as "parameter" instead of "perimeter." And is Blackthorne a Chancellor or a Councilman? Hire an editor.
I'm not an English teacher by any means, but if I have to re-read a sentence 4 times to understand it because you're missing a comma, you need to hire an editor.
Now let's talk about the story itself. FMC is stuck in a memory loop and every 30 days her brain resets. She has been living like this for 5 years and thinks she's still 15. There are several parts in the story where she remembers things that she really shouldn't. They explain some of this through journals, but there were definitely parts she really shouldn't have remembered.
This book is nearly 900 pages. It's incredibly repetitive. This whole story could have been done in the first 900 pages as a standalone. I checked the synopsis for book 2 and when it seemed almost exactly the same, I threw my Kindle and gave up. I'm not suffering through anymore of this.
Cursed Evermore has everything and more you would want in a romantasy. You have a half human, half mage, Elariya and the Prince of Shadows, Wolfe who are brought together by some extenuating circumstances.
Wolfe, a fae Prince has been suffering for 5 years due to a curse and his father's death. He ends up being led to Elariya because of something her dad did and now they have to work together to try and right the wrongs her father did that caused them both to be cursed.
I loved the side characters in this book... Arielle, Bastian, Garrick and Alaric. They're apart of Wolfes bloodsworn and they end up becoming close to Elariya. Her found family.
This book is such a action packed, romantic, shocking, on the edge of your seat romantasy. Its definitely one of my favorite reads of 2025. It ends on a huge cliffhanger. This book will live rent free in my head for a really long time.
Cannot recommend this book enough!!! 10 out of 10!!
Cursed Evermore is the first book in the Shadows and Curses series. It's a well-written, dark romantic fantasy story based on Greek mythology, an updated version of the myth of Hades and Persephone. This story revolves around Elariya and Wolfe, who met whilst she was en route to the Gryffyn Forest to cast a forbidden spell beneath the Phantom Moon, in an attempt to break her curse. It's a recurring curse that resets every thirty days. She meets Wolfe, a powerful fae prince who is both intimidating and gorgeous.
What follows is a masterpiece that pulled me in and kept me eagerly turning the pages, all 840 of them! Fans of impeccable world-building, well-drawn, interesting characters and slow-burning, enemies-to-lovers romance will be hooked by this story. However, being the first in a new series, it does end on a cliffhanger, and we will need to wait for the next instalment in January.
I have mixed feelings about this book. I did like it, but I would be lying if I said that it wasn’t some of the most cringy writing ever. I liked the characters, but I didn’t love the characters. Given what the side characters are supposed to mean to Wolfe - they didn’t really shine at all. The romance was just meh, okay tension, the spicy scenes are part of the cringy writing. I will say there is ZERO reason this book should have been as long as it is. Absolutely none. Most of it was fluffy, unnecessary conversations that had no bearing on anything. It really kind of seemed like the author just wanted to throw in a bunch of the common romantacy tropes. It did have dragons so that’s always a plus.
Look, I didn’t not like it okay lol. It was fine enough, I’ll probably read book 2 when it comes out in January. If I remember 😂
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cursed Evermore by Khardine Gray is a romantasy masterpiece. As the first book in the Shadows & Cursed Series, I fell in love with Elariya (FMC) and Wolfe (MMC). Elariya is the smart, courageous, and beautiful mage. While, Wolfe is the scary, powerful, and gorgeous fae prince. A tortuously slow burn that has deceit, lies, and curses coming in all directions. The chemistry between the FMC and the MMC is tense until desire takes over. A 842 page read that NEVER feels long and drown out. In fact, it only leaves you wanting MORE until the very last page. I’m so looking 👀 forward to book 2 of this amazing author’s new series.
Cursed Evermore is such an absorbing Romantasy that readers will find themselves pulled into it’s amazing story. MFC Elariya is living under a curse that resets her new memories, and life every thirty days. MMC Wolfe Nightblade believes she is the way to reclaiming his lost kingdom. How their fates intertwine and shape into this nicely written story with it’s well crafted characters paves the road towards an entertaining narrative filled with magic, curses, Fae, spice, enemies, drama and darkness. I enjoyed the journey, wasn’t daunted by the books length and remained immersed all the way to the end.

Book one in the Shadows and Curses series, Cursed Evermore is a dark romantasy that plays on the Hades and Persephone mythology. Traveling to the Gryffyn Forest, Elariya is heading to dangerous lands. Casting a forbidden spell beneath the Phantom Moon, hoping to break her curse. A curse that resets every thirty days. Wolfe is our cursed fae prince, who believes she’s the answer. Amazing world building that sucks you in to the story. It does end on a cliffhanger, so be prepared to start the next book in January! Quite the turn for this author, and I’m loving it! Slow burn, enemies to lovers, morally gray, captive, curses, and suspense. This is definitely going to be an amazing series!.

Elariya saw her father disappear in the forest and it caused her to be cursed. Now she relives what happens but never remembers what she saw completely. Wolfe is looking for a way to break a curse, and it leads him to Elariya but he realizes quick enough she is no help because she doesn't remember what he needs to know. Things don't start off well between them yet soon neither wants to be without the other. Will the both of them get the answers they're seeking? Will they get a chance to be together?
This is a great story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book for Bad Boy Update.
Elariya and Wolfe's journey starts because of a tragedy and book one ends on one. Let me state that this author's books are some of my all-time favorites but this only the second fantasy series I have read. The last one was ten years ago. This book is more than I ever expected. I thought it would take me days to finish actually only two, I chose to read this book than sleep. The magical world she writes about is magnificent. There's good and evil in all worlds. Their love must never be forgotten. I've never been more excited for the next book in a series to release than this one. Even if this isn't your normal genre I say give it a try I was glad I did.
Elariya had been looking for her father for five years - and was cursed to re-live every month - her memory simply re-set itself. When she was captured by Wolfe, she discovered things she really didn't want to know. Wolfe wanted to find his father's murderer and thr ing which had been stolen from him. Was Elariya's father a murderer? Would they find out the truth? Would the attraction between them cause her death - or a new life? Loved the characters, and the twists in the story.

For the author's first book in the fantasy genre, this was a very good start. I have read the author's other genres before so I am familiar with her writing. The world building is fantastic and the characters are very well thought out. I was very surprised how long this book was but it definitely did not feel dragged out. Be aware that it does end on a cliffhanger. It is well worth the length of the book and I cannot wait for the second book.

I love this book. The premise reminded more of a certain Drew Barrymore film, where her life resets every time she falls asleep, but they one isn‘t filled with sweetness and fun times. Elariya’s life reset after 30 days. Each time she has to go through loosing her father. She tries to stop the curse and instead attracts Wolfe, who is also trying to break his curse. This is a very intricate story, with twists, turns, emotional losses, pain, anger, romance, spice and love. It is a long book, but it is well worth the additional read-time.
This Hades and Persephone retelling is intriguing and captures the imagination. The story is well written and thought provoking with colorful characters that makes this a memorable story that makes you want to reread again. I love the detail that Gray puts into the story and character development, and I can't wait for the next book in the series. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
A great book to fall into, very detailed and super intense. I was immediately enthralled by the characters, the story, the deep attraction between Wolfe and Elariya. Both suffering from a curse neither know exactly if they can break. I love the mix between the human and fantasy. I could not put this book down.

Wow, what way to start a series. I am left speechless with this first part of an unbelievably spectacular story. It was intense, emotional and suspenseful. There were so many twists and turns that I did not see that cliffhanger coming. I am anxious for the next book to find out what happens next.

One of the better romantasy books I’ve read. A bit predictable and nothing new in concept. The main female character’s overly trusting nature got a bit repetitive and old. However, the main character’s slow burn romance evolved in a lovely way that was more than just physical lust (though of course there was spice too). The side characters were likable and I wish we could see more of them. Though a bit too long, I enjoyed it and hope to read the second.
I enjoyed this intriguing PNR romance filled with drama, violence, attraction, chemistry, secrets, darkness, curses, truths revealed, love, friendship, loss, and emerging powers. I found this storyline to be well-written, well-paced, interesting, entertaining, and engaging. I'm anxiously awaiting the next book. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
Elariya is cursed that every new moon her world restarts erasing all her memoroes except of who she is and what shs aftr her missing father when she casts a spell she ends up with fae prince Wolfe out for revenge on thw hubt for a murderer and to reclaim his kingdom, but will Elariya be the key? Well written engaging suspense, mystery, paranormal, desires and more.
A cursed Fae prince, a world that resets every 30 days, and a heroine caught in the middle of magical chaos? Yes, please. Cursed Evermore is a twisty, steamy romantasy full of danger, secrets, and forbidden sparks. The time loop adds a delicious edge of mystery, and the chemistry? Straight fire. Dark, magical, and totally addictive.
This intriguing story was enjoyable and entertaining. Incredible world building, complex characters that I found easy to like and care about, potent chemistry, plenty of twists and turns, and a seductive storyline had me firmly entranced and reading feverishly right up to the cliffy that left me stunned and aching for the next book.
great 1st book. so just learned this is actually going to be a trilogy. the story ends in a very intense cliffhanger.
Its very stressful lol because this poor girl goes through a memory reset every 30 days because of a curse and now it happened as something was going on and who's to say someone won't take her book away with her life story and she will know about her love for Wolfe.

Arc review For a honest review in my own words on a book I read. Wow fantastic this story is a long one ,but well worth reading. I'll give it 10 stars ,because of the way it draws you into it and takes you on a adventure to far off lands ,love, friendships and more
What can I say but wow!! As the first fantasy book this author has written? An absolute winner! I just could not put this blasted book down it was so engaging. Boy oh boy, what is the next one going to bring to the table? Just amazing writing.
