A mysterious locket brings a fire survivor and a wounded veteran together, but their growing feelings might be more dangerous than the men pursuing them.

Charlotte Clarke survived the flames that destroyed her town and took her family, but at what cost? Left injured and alone, she seizes the chance for a fresh start when a dying friend asks her to take a locket to a relative in Kentucky. But she has no means to reach her destination until she meets a handsome horse trainer headed south and convinces him to let her travel with him.

Haunted by his years in the cavalry and desperate to save his family’s failing stables, Stefan Roberts is focused on transporting his father's racehorses to Kentucky for the spring races. He isn’t looking for complications—especially not in the form of a determined young woman with secrets of her own. Yet as they travel together, Charlotte’s courage and determination begin to crack the walls he's built around his heart.

When a shadowy pursuer closes in, Stefan and Charlotte must face the pasts they’ve been running from, and the faith they thought they’d left behind, before their fragile hopes for the future go up in smoke.

This was an impressive story; it encouraged my heart as well as gave me more food for thought with as I ached thinking about yet another horrible tragedy that occurred. That fire was such a devastating time for so many; destroying the town and 1,000s of lives etc.... There has been so many times of sorrow throughout the ages as we know living in this ole world we certainly will have to endure many a heartache! Even with all that this lovely story wasn't one of despair nor all bleakness thankfully as the characters faced the trials and corruption as always but there came some joyful times and resolutions....An old chorus came to mind about holding on my child as joy comes in the morning, weeping only last through the night....

We all probably often wonder where is God during our times of anguish and we have to experience such times too no doubt; I have indeed too. He is there regardless as he says he will never leave us nor forsake us even when we can't grasp it of course on this side of the sod! He loves us deeply, cares and has a purpose even when we can't see it, is working things out for our good. Trust was a theme as people renewed their faith in learning to lean on the Lord. Living in this fallen world trials will always occur but God can comfort and sustain us.

It was a satisfying book with a happy/ pleasing ending that encouraged my soul; another newer and new to me author that I will gladly read more by!

Blaze of Courage by Avrie Swan follows two wounded souls on a journey where survival demands courage and faith must be chosen again after everything familiar has burned away.

Charlotte’s courage is born from survival and the steady choice to keep moving forward after unimaginable loss. Stefan’s strength is quieter, shaped by war and a heart that has learned to stay guarded. As they travel together, trust forms slowly, and faith is no longer assumed but chosen again, step by step.

The twins become amazing gifts along the road, evidence that God still places life and innocence in the midst of broken journeys.

The Christian foundation in this story is rich, clear, and Jesus-centered. One of the most powerful moments comes when Remus speaks truth Stefan needs to hear: “Job certainly grieved and even cried out in frustration. He questioned God’s reasoning, much as you are doing now. But, though Job questioned God, he never stopped believing.” Later, Remus reminds him, “I assure you, it is not needless suffering. God is building you up, preparing you for something you can’t yet see. God has a plan for you …” and “The Bible holds more wisdom than I could ever hope to give.”

The pastor’s words anchor the soul: “Romans 8:39 …. To think that God in His glory will always love us, regardless of what may come, is the greatest assurance we will ever have.” And Ilona’s clarity is unmistakable: “…God loves us, but because He is just, He calls us to repent of our sins. If we are to love Him back, we have to cast off our sins. And the only way to cast off our sins is through Jesus.”

Blaze of Courage is a story rooted in survival and the restoration God brings. It will resonate with readers who love clearly Christian historical fiction rooted in Scripture and who long for stories where faith is reclaimed and lived out before God.

This is book two in The Peshtigo Fire Chronicles series and it sweeps you away into the midst of what it’s like to survive a terrifying fire and lose your family. Charlotte is on a quest to deliver a locket for a friend and it becomes a journey of endurance, finding hope, and relying on faith. The characters are so real and bond over their suffering from traumatic events. The journey from Wisconsin to Kentucky is interesting and full of adventure and surprises. As they encounter two young lads the story becomes even more interesting as I loved the addition of these boys. A story that flows off of the pages and straight to your heart. I really enjoyed the writing style and how it captures your attention from beginning to end. An amazing read that you will not want to put down as it shows how God turns our ashes into beauty.

This is the second novel in the Peshtigo Fire Chronicles that is a series about two sisters who are separated from one another, and each thinking the other died, during that great fire that destroyed not only their home but their whole town. This is Charlotte's story.

Charlotte the youngest of the sisters has just found out that the bank was calling the loan on their family home. However, due to unfortunate circumstances, they lose one another in a fire that changed the lives of many. Charlotte now believing she is all alone in the world is nursing her burn wounds and wondering why God has abandoned her. Through a series of events, she is given a mission that brings her into contact with Stepan Roberts.

Stepan Roberts is carrying his own tragic circumstances of his family and a bit of PTSD from his time in the war. He and Charlotte are on their way to Kentucky, he reluctantly allows her to join him and along the way they pick up a couple of orphaned twin brothers. Their journey is one that is wrought with danger along with growing friendships, reliance on one another resulting in a type of makeshift family. This results in a tale of hope and love and a faith rediscovered.

I was provided a copy of this novel from the publisher. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

Peshtigo, Wisconsin to Lexington, Kentucky
Charlotte has lost everything in the great Peshtigo fire. Recovering from her injuries, she sets out to return a keepsake to relatives of a friend who died in the fire. On her journey to Kentucky, she encounters Stephan who is taking two thoroughbreds to his father’s stables in Montecello, Kentucky. In Chicago they help out twins Tom and Sebastian who join them on the journey.
The story is about the travels and sinister men who are after something Charlotte possesses.
Along the way, Charlotte questions why God would let bad things happen to her if He cared. Stephan and others show her that God does care for her because He sacrificed His Son.
This touching story had mystery, intrigue, a clear gospel message, a bit of romance, and characters that showed compassion and bravery.
I was expecting to read more about the fire but maybe that was in the first book of the series. I lived pretty close to Peshtigo many years ago so I am interested in the history of the fire.

It took zero effort to connect with Charlotte after she went through so much loss and felt distant from her faith in Blaze of Courage.

This inspiring story about finding hope again is full of emotion and easy relate to. Charlotte, Stefan, Sebastian, and Tom are all interesting characters with their own flaws, and I wanted each of them to find happiness. You can clearly see how each character grows and changes, which adds meaning and even happiness to tough times. Stefan may seem touch on the outside, but his actions show he has a truly honorable and kind heart.

This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I love when a story makes me feel so much—whether it’s sadness, happiness, anger, or simply makes me let out a sigh at the end.

First Line: The letter was like a bolder in Charlotte Clarke’s hand, pressing down with an unbearable weight and making her wish she could drop it into the fireplace and watch it burn.

Avrie Swan is another new-to-me author, and Blaze of Courage is second in The Peshtigo Fire Chronicles series.

Since my father was born and raised in Wisconsin, and my mom lived in Wisconsin during her teen years, Wisconsin has a soft spot in my heart. I enjoyed reading another story sparked by the Peshtigo fire of 1871.

I enjoyed getting acquainted with Charlotte and Stefan, and following along on their journey, as Stefan transported prized Thoroughbreds from Illinois to Kentucky. Stefan's Percheron, Orion, was fun, too. Oh, yes, any story involving horses is a sure draw for me!

If you enjoy historical fiction, with a touch of romance, a dose of faith, and horses, this is one for your TBR list.

But scars are nothing to be ashamed of. In your case, they will be a mark of bravery. A sign that you survived what many others did not.”

Avrie Swan draws another (short) horrifying picture of the Peshtigo fire of 1871 in Blaze of Courage, her second novel in The Peshtigo Fire Chronicles. While her rescue is nothing short of miraculous, Charlotte (Lottie) Clark wants nothing to do with a God who could have prevented the whole event… or at least saved her family.

I loved the way that Swan gives such human frailty and emotions to her characters. I just couldn’t help but love them. While we see flawed characters, we see endearing traits in Charlotte, Stephan, and the twins, Bastian and Tom. Charlotte has promised a dying friend to return a gold locket and an apology to the friend’s parents in Kentucky. Stephan’s past causes him to treat people brusquely, yet he proves his inner softness as he graciously accepts first Charlotte, then the twins as travel companions. The twins are a study in opposites, alone and seeming mischief-makers at best. But it quickly becomes apparent they are hard workers, looking for acceptance, and an escape from their own past. It is amazing to see how God brings each of them into the others’ paths.

The journey from Illinois to Kentucky is fraught with danger, intrigue, secrets, and uncertainty. Highwaymen make the trip extremely dangerous. Somehow, our little group of four begin to work together, almost like a family. But families have problems, too. The twins have a huge falling-out, and Charlotte is a great counselor. “…you also must remember that your brother is allowed to have differing opinions from your own. You’d be wise to ask his thoughts before making assumptions.” Hm, seems to me that all of us would be wise to heed these words.

I loved the uncertainty about which characters are trustworthy. And then the way the little family group works as one to solve a problem so big, it seems insolvable. But, will Stephan and Charlotte decide to trust their hearts to each other, or will this odd group break up either by danger or by choice?

This book is certain to delight historical romance readers, horse lovers, and those with a heart for the trauma-damaged.

I received a copy of the book from the author through Celebrate Lit. I also bought my own ebook. No positive review is required, and all opinions are my own.

Notable Quotables:

“If Stefan didn’t find a way to overcome the darkness inside him, it would very likely consume him.”

“He knew all too well what it was like to want to run from the past. And he knew that, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t escape it forever. Nobody could. It had a funny way of coming back to haunt a person.”

“…my opinion isn’t the only one that matters.” -Tom [ Oh, I am re-learning this at this stage in life!]

“Who knew such a beautiful thing could cause such ugliness?”

“He is building you up, preparing you for something that you can’t yet see. God has a plan for you, son. You can rest easy knowing that.” -Remus

“Though we are surrounded by the ugliness of the world, you must not forget to look for the beauty.” -Remus

“…blaming yourself for something you can’t change will never do any good. What matters is who you are now, and who you are now is a person anyone would be honored to know. “

The opening pages ripped my heart into two as a devastating fire destroys a town. You can feel the flames as they brush against skin and hear the screams of those desperate to survive. The author captures a moment that will change the lives of many.

Surviving the fire, Charlotte wonders where her family is. Can you imagine losing everything? Charlotte is brave and determined to fulfill her friend’s dying wish. The plans Charlotte has now find her on a trip to Kentucky. Her promise to bring a locket to her friend’s mother will test her courage and faith. This locket has meaning which I found heartwarming. A dying wish that will bring forgiveness will soon find Charlotte on a journey she never expected.

Stefan is a delight to have in the story. His time in the calvary has cost him in many ways but he wants to move on with his life. I like that he is determined to take his father’s racehorses to Kentucky. Hw wants to help save his father’s dream of racing horses but at what cost will it be for Stefan? I loved how Stefan took Charlotte on as a fellow companion even though they don’t know each other.

With an emotional story of redemption, restoration and mystery I couldn’t stop reading till I finished the book. The author illustrates how our past can cause us to stumble in our walk with God if we don’t let go of bitterness. Charlotte and Stefan have scars physically and emotionally that need to heal. Will they learn to trust each other and God?

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.

MY THOUGHTS

Blaze of Courage is written by Avril Swan. This is book two in the Peshtigo Fire Series. I was drawn into this book as soon as I started reading and did not want to let it go. This book is set in Peshtigo Wisconsin in the year 1871.

In the story, Charlotte Clarke has had her fair share of tragedies in her life. She was left injured and fires that devastated Peshtigo. One of the things that I really admired about her is her courage. She has dealt with so much and still manages to continue to move forward. She sets out to return it. Keepsake to relatives of a friend who died in the fire. She has to go from Peshtigo Wisconsin to Lexington Kentucky.

Along the way she meets Stefan who is actually taking thoroughbreds to his father stables in Kentucky. He has also faced his fair share of tragedy because being in the war took a toll. He wants to help save his father‘s dreams of racing horses, and I really loved his character.

I love how the author shows us how our past can sometimes cause us to stumble if we don’t let go and let God take care of it. While our characters definitely have scars that ran both physically and emotionally. They have to learn to trust God and each other.

This story is well written with very engaging characters and it definitely is a book I could not put down. Thank you to the author, publisher, and Celebrate Lit for allowing me to read a copy of this book. All thoughts on my own.

Blaze of Courage by Avrie Swan is a Christian Historical Romance. It is the second book in the Peshtigo Fire Chronicles series.

Some stories draw you in with action. Others linger because of the heart. This novel does both—delivering a tender, slow-burning historical romance wrapped in danger, faith, and second chances.

Charlotte Clarke has already survived more than most. The fire that destroyed her town also stole her family and left her bearing scars—both seen and unseen. With nothing left tying her to the past, Charlotte clings to one final promise: delivering a mysterious locket to a relative in Kentucky, as requested by a dying friend. It’s not just a journey—it’s her chance at purpose, healing, and a future she barely dares to imagine.

Enter Stefan Roberts.

A wounded cavalry veteran haunted by war and loss, Stefan is singularly focused on saving his family’s failing stables by transporting racehorses to Kentucky’s spring races. He has no patience for distractions, and certainly no intention of escorting a determined young woman with questions in her eyes and secrets she refuses to share. But the road has other plans.

As Charlotte and Stefan travel together, their guarded hearts slowly begin to soften. The romance unfolds naturally, built on shared hardship, quiet conversations, and hard-earned trust. Charlotte’s resilience and unwavering courage challenge Stefan’s carefully constructed walls, while his steady strength offers her something she hasn’t felt in a long time—safety.

Yet danger stalks them every step of the way.

A shadowy pursuer turns their journey into a race against time, forcing both characters to confront the pasts they’ve been running from—and the faith they thought they’d lost in the flames. The suspense adds just enough tension to keep the pages turning, while the faith element is beautifully woven into the story, emphasizing grace, redemption, and hope without ever feeling heavy-handed.

What truly makes this book shine is its emotional depth. This isn’t simply a romance; it’s a story about healing after tragedy, learning to trust again, and discovering that God can still bring beauty from ashes.

If you love historical romance filled with heartfelt faith, compelling characters, gentle suspense, and a love story that grows through shared trials, this book is a must-read. It’s a powerful reminder that even when everything seems lost, hope—and love—can still rise from the fire.

So if you enjoy Christian historical romances, check out Blaze of Courage by Avrie Swan and the rest of the Peshtigo Fire Chronicles series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.

A road trip in the aftermath of great historical events provides the backbone of the story in Avrie Swan’s A Blaze of Courage. In the aftermath of the Peshtigo fire, Charlotte, a brave heroine, fights to survive in a world changed, mirroring the chaos of the Great Chicago Fire. Having endured the horrors of the Civil War, heroic Stefan begins a long journey to Kentucky. Through divine intervention, the two are brought together, and what begins as mutual dependence blossoms into a deeper connection.

The story delves into the pain of post-traumatic stress, examining how it tests faith when people try to heal from loss. Dealing with emotional and physical hindrances, both characters found their paths to healing when they began to trust themselves and God. The story progresses rapidly, raising challenging questions about faith and suffering. As the characters’ relationships develop, the chapters really capture the beauty of seeing beyond the physical and into the heart.

A heartbeat of hope, born from the aftermath of tragedy, fuels the plot, which grips in a compelling way as it reaches its halfway point. What started off as a simple road trip turns into so much more. Younger characters, displaced twins, brought levity, which helped balance out the serious themes in the found-family trope. This book is a compelling historical fiction narrative, with elements of romance, history, and drama, perfect for fans of the genre.

Blaze of Courage by author Avril Swan is Book 2 in The Peshtigo Fire Chronicles. This Christian historical novel is filled with mystery, intrigue, a Christian message, a sweet romance, and many life lessons. It is a poignant, touching story. I was immediately caught up in the story and its characters’ lives.

This story is set in 1871 from Peshtigo, Wisconsin to Lexington, Kentucky. It is the tale of Charlotte, who has been severely burned. She goes to Milwaukee for medical treatment. However, her mother and sister did not survive, leaving Charlotte by herself.

Charlotte bravely finds herself on the road from Chicago to Kentucky to return a locket and fulfill a dying friend’s wish. Along the way she joins a horse breeder, Stephan, and twin boys, Sebastian and Tom. They are all met with danger, highwaymen, and intrigue during their journey.

It is an exciting, well written story. At times I laughed while other times I was anxious for Charlotte’s safety. I felt all types of the emotions while getting lost in this story. Every page is full of heart-pounding moments as the characters strive to merely survive. The author has done an exceptional job crafting this story and characters.

This gets a 5 star rating from me. A complimentary copy was provided by Celebrate Lit, but these are my own true words.

What a great historical fiction novel with faith in the center of it. I love a good historical fiction novel. I always learn something new, even if that’s not the goal of reading it.

Mysterious locket, anyone? Two lost and hurting souls? What can go wrong? Oh, and horses. Horses make everything better. In fact, my husband and I often joke that I married him for his horses.

Charlotte has had unimaginable loss. And she’s left with reminders of it. So when she gets the chance to go on a journey to find the owner of the locket, she jumps on it. On her journey, she meets Stefan and his horses. And then they meet the twins, who join their journey.

But through it all, they’re trying to stay ahead of the men seeking the locket that Charlotte has. Can she and Stefan find their way to God and keep their faith even during difficult times?

This was a great book, and strength and resilience, plus God and His steadfastness.

I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, which I received from Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review, nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.

The plot is heavy on character development in this second book in the series but also has a great deal of suspense. Charlotte is left alone after the Peshtigo Fire that took her family, or did it? A third book is definitely going to happen when the sister will have to reunite!
Charlotte agrees to take a precious family heirloom to Kentucky when the owner dies but how to get there? She's practically destitute and doesn't know how she'll get there but happens upon a horse trainer, Stefan, who is going to Kentucky to take his horses there. Along the way, they have so many adventures, including picking up two delightful twins! I loved Sebastian and Tom. They added so much to the story. Stefan and Charlotte are a grumpy/sunshine combo but they both have issues they are dealing with and throughout the journey, they have a lot to work through. The twins actually help in this process! When highwaymen dog their every steps, will the little band of travelers escape harm or will they be caught up in their evil plans? Never has a simple journey to Kentucky been fraught with so much danger! I enjoyed getting to know these characters!

Such an interesting story about a young woman who seeks a new life after surviving the Peshtigo Fire of 1871. Charlotte Clark’s journey took her on an unknown and dangerous path after a dying friend made a final request of her. Joining forces with Stephan Roberts who is also heading to Kentucky on family business makes for an eventful journey as they take on two more traveling companions and face increasing danger along the way. A former cavalry officer in the Civil War, Stephan had to fight back dreary thoughts and feelings of guilt while Charlotte worked to find her way back to faith. I learned something new about post Civil War history in this book and enjoyed the way the author made it part of the story line. Twins Tom and Sebastian livened up the story with their antics and added dimension with their own personal stories. This author is new to me and I look forward to reading more of her books.

This is Charlotte Clarke’s story after she survived the historical fire in Peshtigo, WI fire on October 8, 1871. She was transported from Peshtigo to another hospital and found a dear friend struggling to survive also. The friend asked a specific request that meant Charlotte would have to travel to fulfill her friend’s dying wish. Charlotte was not prepared for the dangers in Chicago but kind and gentle Stefan Roberts came to her rescue. His plans changed to include Charlotte as he was traveling to Kentucky with horses. Each chapter found unexpected challenges, new dangers, some rambunctious twins, and of course villains causing Stefan and Charlotte undue trauma. This was an emotional read with the realism of the story, travel and all that was at risk. Will the primary characters find answers to all that had occurred? There is a faith message that brings hope, peace and a new love for life.

Charlotte has faced so much; the loss of her family, her home, scars that now cover her arms, and now her friend. Where has God been in all this? Stefan has survived much but locked his life away behind fears, pain, and hurt. He is now trying to save his father’s legacy.

They meet on the road to Kentucky and become unlikely traveling companions; the twins, Bastian and Tom, add some lightness to their hearts and journey. The Fitzgerald family along the way points them both toward God as the source of their comfort and healing.

There is mystery and suspense surrounding Charlotte’s journey with them confronting some really bad guys. There is a good resolution for the suspense and a happy ending, but I do hope there is another book in the series for the sisters to find each other.

I enjoyed this novel. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.

I had the pleasure in reading the first book from Avrie Swan's The Peshtigo Fire Chronicles series, Embers of Truth. I was excited to have the opportunity to read the second installment, Blaze of Courage. I adored this story between Stefan and Charlotte. Their story was full of adventure, love, and suspense. I found it to be a great way to spend the afternoon next to the fireplace on a cold day. I loved it.

I am going to give Blaze of Courage five stars. I highly recommend it for readers who love to read clean Christian Historical Romance. I am hoping there will be more to come from The Peshtigo Fire Chronicles series by Avrie Swan in the future.

This is the second book in Swan’s The Peshtigo Fire Chronicles series. It will be helpful if you read the first book, Embers of Truth, before this new one, since the first book gives a bit more background about Charlotte’s family. New characters are introduced in this book, along with a whole new plot and location. Obviously a third book will be coming to bring the two sisters finally together. But until then, enjoy Charlotte’s story, the twin boys that get involved, the lame horse trainer, and their journey together. Not so nice characters are also introduced, but I don’t want to talk about them.

Blaze of Courage is the second book in the Peshtigo Fire Chronicles by Avrie Swan. Charlotte Clarke lost everything in that fire including her family, so she decides to start anew elsewhere. Tasked with taking a special item to Kentucky, she is willing but has no means. Stefan Roberts is traveling there with the family racehorses, so she does join him. Much of the focus is on these two characters, the trauma that they have endured, the emotional fallout and now how they are working through it. They must also find their faith once again, thinking it was lost but God is always near. What a story this is with more at stake than a simple locket. It was exciting to read how Charlotte and Stefan had such determination and cleverness.

I thought this was a good book. I liked that it connected with the first book in the series and we got to see what Charlotte was going through during the same time. I liked seeing how she worked to survive while thinking she had no one left in the world. I liked seeing her strength and courage. I also liked seeing her fall in love with Stefan as they get to know each other and work together. I thought the setting of the story was interesting since I do not know much about this fire. This is definitely a book to check out and see what courage we can have in adversity.

This is a well-crafted story that captivates all your emotions. Each character finds a special place in my heart, and I quickly became attached to them. The long journey, filled with danger at every turn, also serves as a time of growth and healing under God's guidance. Trust, love, and unity flourish among strangers as they flee from a traitor and his henchmen, who are willing to kill for the secrets of a spy.

Every page is packed with intrigue and heart-pounding moments as the characters strive to survive while accomplishing a heroic task. This beautifully emotional story includes laugh-out-loud antics and guarantees a happy ending. It's both entertaining and unforgettable!

“Blaze of Courage”by Avrie Swan is the second book in the series. This is a story of redemption and restoration and based on the real life Peshtigo Fire of 1871. This book isn’t always a feel good real but it was an inspiring read. It is a clean Christian Historical romance. I especially like reading the messages of hope and faith that is part of this book. This series helps the reader know that God is in all things, even the bad. Oh, let’s not forgot the horses that are a big part of the tale also.

Book two of this amazing series is just as exciting as the first one. We continue with Charlotte’s story. Her survival of the historic fire that destroyed her town and killed several hundred. She is separated from her sister and believing she perished with her mother when her dying friend asks her to deliver her locket to her mother Charlotte agrees and never looks back. She soon meets Stefen and then they are joined be twins and the journey begins that is filled with challenges and danger because the locket is not quite what it appears to be.

Blaze of Courage gives us Charlotte Clarke’s story after she was separated from her sister and mother during the Peshtigo fire. Charlotte is tasked with a journey to deliver a locked for her friend to her family and she will face danger and uncertainty during the trip.

Stefan Robert’s is on a journey of his own and being saddled with a stranger isn’t part of it but there’s something about Miss Charlotte and along the way he will heal from his past and gain a family as well.

Can't wait for book 3!

A slower start than book 1 but in a comfortable, cozy way. The second half should be read in one evening though, couldn't put it down!

October 8, 1871 was an ordinary day, until it wasn’t. High winds and dry vegetation fed the fire that swept through Peshtigo, WI leaving many with no way out. Charlotte, badly burned, is sent to Milwaukee for medical care. Her mother and sister were not as fortunate, leaving Charlotte all alone in the world.

A dying wish found Charlotte bravely on the road from Chicago to Kentucky to return a locket. Joining a horse breeder and twins, she sets out for the adventure of a lifetime. In the midst of all of this, she found peace and joy knowing she was doing the right thing. Highwaymen, danger and plenty of excitement traveled with this motley crew. Will they safely get to deliver the locket?

An early copy of The Peshtigo Fire Chronicles Book 2 was received through Wild Heart Books and BookFunnel. These impressions are my own and were in no way solicited.
