I love the honesty in this book, which describes the writer's incredible achievement of cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats by herself with humility and humour. I'm not much of a cyclist myself, and will probably never aspire to do LeJog, but I enjoyed Claire Davies' tales of the challenges and mistakes she overcame, and the beauty and kindness she met along the way. This is a book for anyone who wants to be inspired to achieve something out of their comfort zone.

An inspiring account of a solo trip, the title is certainly apt! I would love to say that I would attempt her journey on a bike from Lands End but I’m not sure I would. However her book inspires a spirit, a confidence, that dreams don’t have to be big and that sometimes midlife needs adventure and mixing up the status quo. She has delivered this in spades and would recommend highly.
