Kuyper -such a highly influential man, for those in the Netherlands, and worldwide. The breadth of his writing is actually stunning, and his desire for the Christian worldview to be an active and not merely intellectual one shone throughout his life.
Bishop’s footnotes are useful and he has lots of visuals that supplement his writing! He also acknowledges theological and sociopolitical critiques of Kuyper, including his underdeveloped ideas and where they are being used now.
A great resource.
Next up in my Kuyper reading, Dagmare Houniet and J. de Bruijn’s pictorial biography - maybe someday Tjitze Kuiper’s annotated bibliography
