I don’t even know what to say… that ending has me spiralling 🫠
First of all, i need to get off my chest… i have a hit list. A long and continuous one, starting with Clayton. That man needs to disappear.. mysteriously.. asap🤨 I live and breathe hatred for that man😒

I bloody loved this book! The spice was EXACTLY what i needed, massive chefs kiss 🤌🏻 The plot had me on the edge of my seat for the entirety of this book!

Dark, addictive, and full of tension... this enemies-to-lovers story had me hooked from page one. Veronica and Mickey’s chemistry is explosive, and the London backdrop adds the perfect mix of luxury and danger. I Can't wait for Part 2 after that cliff-hanger! Imogen how could u leave us hanging!!!??

From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The emotional rollercoaster this book put me through was unreal — I wanted to scream, and at times I just had to breathe because the anger was palpable.
The spice, Intense and so good, Imogen doesn’t hold back, and I couldn’t get enough.
My love for Mickey grew with every page. He’s the kind of character that stays with you long after the last page, and he did.
Roni - my heart absolutely broke for her. She deserved so much more than what she got.
This book left me with the worst book hangover and it's not over yet, can't wait for part 2.
If you're ready for a read that grabs you by the heart and doesn’t let go I highly recommend this book.

Mickey at the perfect age of when everything was becoming a turning point for him, never always getting it right and you can slowly see how he grew from his mistakes.
Having a family feud between the Harts & Franklins was giving great Romeo & Juliet vibes. I think Roni's character is a clever match for Mickey, she’s a feisty female with sharp claws and full of life personality with an edge. Only, not all is as it seems as we find out how much her father actually controls her.

Roni has sass, attitude, and absolute main character energy 💅 But my heart breaks for her 💔
Them together had me kicking my feet and giggling and the drama was SO addictive.

This, this is his story of how he came to be that man. How he came to hating the world.
Mickey hates Veronica ‘Roni’ hart, because of who her father is, who her family is, and she hates him for the EXACT same reason, but their circle of friends seem to overlap.
You see where I’m going with this?
Their relationship starts off as a quick ‘let’s get it out of our system’ but then it carries on, he can’t shake her, she can’t think of everything other than him.
Them two together is GLORIOUS! Mickey shows Roni a side many people will never see, in turn Roni becomes softer, but of course, it couldn’t be that way for them. Roni’s father tells her she is to marry Clayton. (Hate him) I’m OBSESSED with Mickey and Roni. Yes this ends on a cliffhanger and I’m already begging for book 2.

Oh my I’ve just added a new book boyfriend to my rotation! Mikey Rawlins is 😍 amazing! Modern day Romeo and Juliet with side of high profile mafia-esque type family feuds… Mikey and Roni were bred to hate each other but the sexual tension and draw between the two is 🔥. Roni’s father has other ideas though and wants nothing more than to ruin the Rawlins’s family by using his daughter, not caring if he ruins her and her life in the process.
I am so excited for book two of this story and the forward says that there is more Mickey is other books too so that’s where I’m headed next! Loved it!!

What a way to start books buy a new to me author! London’s Calling Part 1 is an intense enemies to lovers, tense romance set among the throat real estate world of London. Mickey and Veronica are the main characters, who have undeniable chemistry. However, they are rivals who clash at every turn. The author has created such an intense relationship between them that the electricity sparks from the page. Every time they meet, it’s a clash of heat and sharp dialogue. I loved it! There is also the added element of pressure from their families, emotional blackmail, and suspense. I can’t wait for part two.

Holy hell was that a roller coaster! When I say you aren't prepared for this book, I don't think you are prepared! This is a dark romance lover's dream! Mickey and Roni are definitely Romeo and Juliet, the definition of star-crossed! The angst is top notch and that cliff hanger is brutal! I rage read parts of this book and I have faith that the author will help heal us in book 2, but damn the feelings! I am not so patiently waiting and will be bugging Imogen for book 2!!

NOOOOO...I was not ready for it to end!!! Talk about a cliffhanger!
This book was so good from beginning to end! It's fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat! I was binge reading because the need to know what happens is overwhelming!! There were a few people that really got under my skin and made me feel super violent. Then there was our mmc that had me swooning and laughing! The spice was definitely spicy and the twists and turns were jaw dropping. You need this book I promise it will have you riding the emotional rollercoaster!

Lordy, lordy what an amazing book and that ending had me stunned. I have read a lot of wonderful books from Imogen Wells and I have loved them all but this book just had something special and who could resist the appeal of Mickey Rawlins. Ms Wells just laid it all out on the table and now I am suffering as I patiently wait for the next book. Roni and Mickey are intense but it is the emotional roller coaster ride that will have your stomach doing backflips. Wishing my life away as I wish it as time for the next book.

Imogen has created the start of a great story with London’s Calling. Two interesting, flawed (who hate but are totally hot for each other) main characters. There are some interesting side characters too. I’ve not read the other books where Mickey is introduced so I’m getting to know him from his story. Roni has a tough time and it’s difficult to read at times, but we know the MMC is going to ‘be there’ for her. That was one ending though, now have to wait for book 2….

I loved this book!! Imogen has done it again! Mickey and Roni have amazing chemistry and you just can’t help but root for them. The world building and the storyline are absolute perfection. And in true Imogen style she will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat needing the next book ASAP. Definitely recommend!!

Hooo-leeee Cow what have I just read!!?! With the release of LONDON'S CALLING, Author Imogen Wells, in my opinion, has cemented her place among the echelons of must-read authors who successfully combine romance, heat (lots of heat!) and suspense.

Dark, romantic and suspenseful, the enemies-to-lovers story arc of LONDON'S CALLING has more layers than a dam onion! Family feuds, disappearing relatives and betrayed business deals combined with a couple of the most reprehensible characters that I just want to see the worst possible karma being visited upon their heads.
Veronica, Roni Hart had been dubbed the Ice Queen by Mickey, but she hid a fiery passion within. Even deeper was the soul of a girl blackmailed by a manipulative male parental. He was but one of the characters I really put the hates on. I really loved her character.
I'm so very repetitive when it comes to stating my intense aversion to cliff-hanger endings. BUT, sometimes a story is so deep, so wide and contains so many layers that one book isn't enough to do a justice to the characters and what is happening around them and for Mickey and Roni, this is so. And that ending, I have no words except to say that I am heartbroken and I can't stop thinking about them, so I'll be waiting in a state of hopeful anticipation for the next release from Ms Wells.
I also know there are readers out there who won’t start a series or duet until the author has finished the last book so I'll say, nah, pull up your big-girl-readery-pants and pick up LONDON'S CALLING right now. Hooo-leeee Cow what have I just read!!?! With the release of LONDON'S CALLING, Author Imogen Wells, in my opinion, has cemented her place among the echelons of must-read authors who successfully combine romance, heat (lots of heat!) and suspense.

What a dark, sinful and explosive beginning of Mickey and Roni's love story! London's Calling Part 1 by Imogen Wells was sexy and angsty at the same time. They started as enemies but their connection was electric and it cut through the layers of animosity and rivalry. But they are middle of a web of manipulation and mind games and power plays. Their happily ever after has to wait.

They belong to the same circle of rich society where luxury and debauchery run high. When Roni wins Mickey's penthouse in a poker game, it starts a dangerous road. Mickey tells himself that its just sex. But he cannot deny that he is falling for the sassy vixen. Their time is running out as Roni is sold in an arranged marriage to another disgusting abusive man.
This story has lots of pain and trauma and suffering because it is building their background. Roni is incredibly strong. Her soul is bruised but her spirit isn't broken. She hides her pain behind her sass and attitude. The world sees a sexy carefree reckless bombshell but inside lives a vulnerable woman. Mickey didn't see inside at first. He saw the shallow takes, the vicious banter, the crooked plans..but slowly he saw her scars. Inside out. Roni shouldn't trust the enemy but the way he takes care of her and makes her feel safe were devastating. Because she knew that she cannot keep him. They have challenges mounting. How can Mickey keep his father appeased and his family business thriving while trying to save Roni? His attempts could make things harder for her. The ending broke my heart. It was a rollercoaster. From fast paced and filthy hot to heartbreaking and soul crushing. I am trusting Imogen Wells to bring my pieces together.

Londons Calling Pt 1 ) Enemies to lovers, betrayal, secrets , ambition, undeniable attraction, intrigue and suspense, moments that are so heartbreaking you will literally feel like your heart is being ripped apart. Mickey and Veronica’s story was everything I ever could have asked for . It’s the type of journey that touches your heart so completely, that literally has you reeling with so many different emotions you will never see coming. Mickey and Veronica truly are filled with so many complexities , not to mention all the layers to their characters. If I’m being completely honest , I really don’t think any words can describe all the reasons you absolutely need to read this story . What I can say with 100% certainty is this . It’s one of the best romances I’ve read in such a long time !

Omg I loved this book !! I first came across this story in the Hate Mates anthology and loved it, so I was excited when I got to read more of the story in this book.
Imogen is such an awesome writer her characters in this book Mickey and Roni are so great to read, they ooze chemistry, its off the charts hot when they are together , they are both driven in what they do and both want to help their respective fathers destroy the others.But you get to see beneath the facade they both wear , you get to see the real them , at times my heart broke for Roni , the things that she went through , shes such a strong character and I love that in a FMC and ive gotta say that ending ..........well go read it for yourself you really wont be disappointed !!! I am now very impatiently waiting for book 2.

London's Calling Pt 1 was everything. All the enemies to lovers, angsty, complicated relationship, throw in some betrayal and an undeniable spark and Imogen Wells has delivered yet another amazing read! I could not put this one down and I cannot wait for more! SO GOOD❣️
