Her friend talked her into going on an adventure on Christmas break. She was nervous and excited. When she pulled up to his cabin she saw him, this might turn out really well. Clever story, fun people, an awesome festival and a most happy ending.
Christmas Letter From The Mountain Man — When a single, unexpected letter travels across state lines and lands in the wrong mailbox, it sets off a chain of events neither Robin nor Levi could have ever imagined.
Robin isn’t looking for drama when the mailman hands her a worn, handwritten letter addressed to someone else. But the moment she reads the heartfelt words—raw, honest, and filled with a tenderness she hasn’t felt in years—she feels an undeniable pull. This letter wasn’t meant for her, but something about the man behind the ink speaks directly to her heart. Most people would toss it back into the outgoing mail. Robin, though? She packs a bag, gets in her car, and heads straight toward the Ozark Mountains to deliver it in person… even if it means showing up unannounced on the doorstep of a complete stranger a thousand miles away.
She expects awkwardness. Maybe confusion. What she doesn’t expect is Levi.
Levi is a rugged, reclusive mountain man who once believed in big, sweeping love stories. Years ago, he wrote that letter with hope burning in his chest—hope that life and love would someday turn back in his favor. But life took its toll. That hopeful man faded, replaced by someone quieter, lonelier, and far more guarded. So when a striking, sweet stranger shows up out of the blue the week before Christmas, holding a piece of his past in her hands, Levi is stunned.
Robin is sunshine wrapped in winter scarves—openhearted, brave, and more real than anything Levi’s allowed himself to dream of. She’s unlike anyone he’s ever met, and her journey to find him stirs feelings he thought he’d buried for good. But the letter she carries isn’t just paper; it’s a reminder of who he used to be… and the miracles he stopped believing in.
As snow blankets the mountains and Christmas lights glow softly against the cabin walls, something shifts between them. Conversations stretch late into the night. Walls begin to fall. And Levi starts to wonder if miracles don’t just happen in stories—maybe sometimes they show up on your doorstep, looking at you like you hung the stars.
Christmas Letter From The Mountain Man is a cozy, steamy, heartfelt holiday romance about fate, second chances, and the magic that unfolds when two souls are brave enough to answer destiny’s call. A tender mountain man, a courageous heroine, and one life-changing letter make this the perfect fireside seasonal escape.

Sometimes the smallest act—a letter misplaced, a heart opened—can change everything. Christmas Letter from the Mountain Man by Lily Birch is one of those rare holiday romances that feels both magical and deeply human. It’s a story about healing, hope, and the beautiful way fate works when we least expect it.
When Robin’s best friend, who works for the post office, gives her a “dead Santa letter” to open, she doesn’t think much of it. But inside is a note that stops her in her tracks—a letter from a man named Levi, written three years ago under pressure from his niece. His words are honest, aching, and full of quiet loneliness. Levi, an ex-military man who’s retreated to the mountains after a devastating experience overseas, had long since stopped believing in love, miracles, or Christmas.
Something about his letter touches Robin deeply. Living in North Pole, Minnesota (yes, really!), she’s always played it safe, never daring to step beyond her comfort zone. But this letter—the heartbreak and honesty in it—awakens something inside her. For the first time in her life, she does something spontaneous: she goes to find him.
When Robin shows up at Levi’s cabin, all decked out in Christmas spirit and warmth, he’s stunned. She’s a burst of color against his gray, solitary world. Her kindness and openness melt through the icy walls he’s spent years building. And as snow falls over the mountains, something else begins to fall too—his guard.
What follows is a tender, funny, and deeply feel-good story about two people pulled together by fate, letters, and the healing power of love. Lily Birch perfectly balances sweet charm with emotional depth, showing how a little hope (and a little holiday magic) can bring even the loneliest hearts back to life.

Robin's best friend worked for the post office and took one of the dead Santa letters and gave it to her to open. It was from a man called Levi and he was pressured to write by his niece, and he was a loner ever since coming back from overseas. He had gone through a very bad experience. Robin shows up all looking christmasy and wanting to check up on him and there was something about his letter that drew her to be spontaneous for the first time in her life. She had never done anything out of her comfort zone. Levi was shocked to find a gorgeous woman standing not far from him on his property and there was something about her that drew him out of his shell that he had locked himself in for a long time. Her openness and just blew him away. He couldn't believe this Santa letter he had written 3 years earlier would bring him the bundle of sunshine that he needed the most in his life. This was such a fun read of how these two connected and how Hope drew Levi out of his shell and he started to feel again. It is a super sweet and fun read. This is a must have!!!
Please be sure to check all TWs before reading 📖 You’re mental health is always more important than anything else.
What do you do when your niece begs for you to write a letter to Santa? 🎅🏼 Well? You do it, of course! That’s exactly what Levi did too!
Did you know that North Pole, Minnesota is a REAL place?! I sure didn’t and neither did Levi.
Robin lived in North Pole, Minnesota and by chance received a special letter that was never supposed to land in her hands. After reading the letter, and a little convincing, Robin knew she had to meet Levi.
Levi is an ex-military mountain man that thought he would live the rest of his life alone as far away on the mountain from civilization. Robin came into Levi’s life with a little of her own Christmas spirit to spread around. 🎄
This book is heartwarming in the way Levi and Robin’s relationship transpires. The shyness they both have and the reasoning behind them.
The Christmas letter that changed both their lives.
It's just so sweet and heartwarming to read about people finding their soulmates around Christmas. It just makes the holidays so much more magical. That's exactly how I felt about Levi and Robin's story.
Levi had been through a lot, leaving him pretty messed up physically, emotionally, and mentally. But one Christmas, with a little push (or nagging) from his niece Annie, Levi wrote a letter to Santa that would not only change HIS life but also the life of a lonely librarian named Robin in North Pole, Minnesota.
There were so many things I loved about this book: from how Levi and Robin first met, to how Levi's family, friends, and neighbors reacted to seeing him with Robin, to how cute it was when Robin's chihuahua, Hot Cocoa, bonded with Levi's dog, Comet, and especially seeing Levi smile for the first time. That totally made me tear up. Levi and Robin's Christmas romance was super inspiring and a really fun read.
Years after he wrote it, she gets a letter that was meant for someone else. She is touched and fascinated by his words and decides to be brave and go on adventure to return it to him. She didn’t know what to expect when she got there. But a half naked mountain man chopping wood in the snow was definitely not on her bingo card. He only wrote the letter because his niece forced him too, and he had long forgotten about it so when she shows up in his driveway, he has no idea what she’s talking about. Once he sees it and realizes how far she’s come he decides to at least invite her inside however, once she’s inside, he never wants to let her go again. This was a sweet holiday story with a happily ever after. The extended epilogue really gave you the complete story feeling. It’s a little bit spicy a lot sweet and a perfect rainy day binge.

This is book two in Lily’s “Ozark Mountain Men Sexy Santa Christmas” series. Under the pushy eye of his niece, Levi writes a very direct and personal letter to Santa Claus and three years later it ends up in the hands of Robin in North Pole, Minnesota. Feeling drawn to Levi, the usually cautious Robin sets off on an adventure across the country to visit him, and arrives on Christmas Eve. Whilst Levi is initially suspicious of Robin’s story of who she is and why she’s there, he can’t deny the chemistry between them, and he starts to believe that he could find peace and love with his Christmas surprise. Levi is amongst the grumpiest of Lily’s mountain men, but underneath this lies humour, protectiveness and vulnerability, making him the perfect match for the sweet, caring and inexperienced Robin. This story really delivers on emotion, connection and passion – a perfect heart warmer for the holiday season.

Three years ago, Levi Blackthorne is at the official Reindeer Headquarters on red Oak Mountain with his nine-year-old niece Annie. She is making Levi write a letter to Santa Clause.
Robin Merryweather lives in a tiny town called North Pole, Minnesota. They have Christmas cheer all year long. Her friend, Jan, recently took over the postal route. Jan got her boss to let her deliver Santa Clause letters to everyone in town. The letters addressed to the North Pole usually end up in the basement of their post office. Jan gives Robin a letter from someone named Levi Blackthorne.
When Robin reads the letter, her heart breaks for Levi. She tells Jan a little bit about the letter, but not everything. Jan convinces Robin to take her dog, Hot Cocoa, and go to the Ozarks for Christmas break.
I knew this would be quite the adventure for Robin and quite the surprise for Levi. Very cute couple.

Their chemistry was pure fire and the ending was so happy. I loved it.
'She finally dragged her eyes up, cheeks flushed pink as she met my gaze. “And you just seemed so sad in the letter. And I thought it would be nice for you to know that someone in this world heard your pain, even if I can’t make it better. You shouldn’t stop living your life just because of one bad day. I drove halfway across the country to tell you that.” Her words hit me like a bag of bricks. But I didn’t want her to know that they’d had an effect on me.'
I loved this book. It was such a fun concept and a great way to bring two characters together- at least in a romance. Even if Levi wasn't sure why a strange lady from the North Pole showed up at his house. His emotions in his letter to Santa touched Robin's heart, and she had to do something about it. A sweet Christmas romance. 5 stars
Levi, a man who has had a challenging time since one bad day, has a loving niece who decided he needs to write a letter to Santa Claus, even when he didn’t want to. If she knew what he wore to chop wood, she would have gone sooner 😉
“I was losing myself in this woman, and I wanted to be lost. I never wanted this dream to end.”
Love, love, love this storyline!! Instalove for two lonely souls. Ex-military Levi was made to write a letter to Santa by his niece who wanted him to have someone to love but he is struggling with survivor guilt. Fate comes in when librarian Robin is given his letter and is compelled to find and heal him. He is perfect to rock her world and her sunshine brings peace and happiness to his as well. Filled my heart and who knows, maybe one day it will be time to tell Annie’s story ❤️.

I have a lot of things going through my head at the moment, and I am having difficulty putting them into words so I will keep this simple. I loved Levi and Robin together, this story reminds me that there is good in the world, some people witness true horrors, but nobody should feel like they’re better off being alone, especially when their family is still around wanting time with them. Everyone deserves to be happy and it is my belief that nobody is truly happy when they are alone. I still don’t get how Lily is able to write these stories that leave me wanting more. Even if it is in the form of another book adding to the story with different characters.

One of my favorite series by Lily Birch. Short, sweet and just right for the Christmas season. Levi is forced to write a letter to Santa by his niece, Anne. Ever since he returned from the service injured he isolated himself in his cabin. Robin is a librarian in North Pole, Minnesota. Getting letters delivered to Santa at the North Pole is not unusual for the post office. When Robin’s freeing handed out letters from the dead letter vault, she received one that broke her heart. So she started out on an adventure to find the disheartened Levi and bring him comfort.

Robin read his letter to Santa and it touched her heart
Levi was a broken man after being hurt in the service. He came back home and withdrew from the world. Robin went on an adventure but when she sees a guy only dressed in underwear, boots and a Santa hat she panicked. Levi thought she was beautiful but still was sceptical. Who drives that far just to meet a lonely letter writer? Heart warming tale of unexpected love and adventure being just what she needed to get her HEA. Laughed, cried and giggles right along with Robin and Levi. Even the dogs were crazy about each other.
Robin Merrywether never thought that her Christmas would be filled with a new and exciting adventure this year. But when her friend gives her a Christmas letter to Santa to read she quickly discovers how exciting her life will become. Levi Blackhorne is an injured recluse who shit himself away in his cabin in the mountains after suffering a great loss and much grief. He never expected that he too would travel down the same emotional road as Robin this Christmas. Together they make a new start in life and it’s a fun read.
Another great story. It drew me in immediately. I completely felt both characters personality. I loved these two together. Robin was such a sweet person who has not really enjoyed life. Everything to her was an adventure with her sporadic drive to meet a stranger. I love the guts it took to drive across country to meet a stranger. Their meet cute made me laugh. It was so enjoyable to watch how quickly Levi fell for Robin. Adorable book with a great HEA. As always can't wait for the next book!.

-A heartwarming short holiday romance that beautifully blends fate, healing, and festive magic. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
Robin and Levi’s connection feels genuine and tender, sparked by a long-forgotten letter and brought to life by courage and hope. The story delivers cozy charm, gentle humor, and emotional depth in perfect balance.
Sweet, uplifting, and utterly adorable — a perfect feel-good Christmas read.
For a short holiday themed read Christmas Letter From The Mountain Man really delivered on the feels. It’s ideal for a cosy afternoon escape when you need something steamy and entertaining. The plot and storyline was heart warming with Levi and Robin as engaging characters that you feel invested in for their HEA. I would recommend it as a good instalove with grumpy/sunshine, mountain man, curvy heroines, and a little bit of winter holiday magic. I look forward to reading more titles by this author.
It was sooo cute. I liked the letter, it wasn't about finding love but peace... and he found it with her. I even liked that they didn't linger on his accident or whatever happened, even if I'm usually super nosy about this type of detail on stories. Their chrismas day date, all in, and very cute. Even that his niece is dating her crush is so cute. Everything was adorable. All hail her friend!.

Another wonderful story from Red Oak Mountain. Levi’s niece, Annie has him write a letter to Santa that is read by Robin. The letter spurs her onto an adventure. She needs to find the man. The meet cute is adorable, the first kiss and the Santa outfit bring a sad lonely man and the bubbly librarian together. Merging their lives in to the best adventure of all, love.

Wounded warrior, isolated, with a traumatic past, beauty and the beast... this story fits all these categories. Who would have thought a letter to Santa would bring the love of a lifetime to a man who had given up on finding it? Levi's letter is read by Robin, which sets in motion a fantastic story. I love this book! I will save it in my 'Read Again' folder!

This story was just like reading a script from a beloved Hallmark movie. It was so cute and adorable and full of honest feelings. I loved Annie and her innocent meddling that led to Levi and Robin getting together years later. The dogs were absolutely adorable too and I loved all the Christmas themed names and activities. I feel like I got my sugar dose today from reading this story.

It started with a letter. Levi is a loner. After the battle and being a survivor he is content on living alone. Until Robin shows up to turn the world he is living in upside down and inside out. I loved this book. It had all the feels for Levi and what not only he had experienced but what he was still experiencing but also for Robin getting out of her comfort zone. Great storyline with the usual team of characters from other books.
It was perfect Christmas romance - sweet and spicy, naughty and heartwarming, entertaining and funny. Enjoyed it so much. Their meeting was her adventure and a bit unexpected. Robin was not ready to find hottest, but irritated man behind the letter. Ozark Mountain Men : Sexy Santa Christmas series got amazing addition with this Book 2. Loved it so much - so well developed characters and the story. Adorable.
