The Stars Above was the first book in a long time to make me tear up. Emotional yet heartwarming, with characters that felt real and deeply authentic. I especially loved the nostalgia, recognizing familiar places made the story even more meaningful. A beautiful read that stayed with me.
What I appreciated most is that this isn’t just a sci-fi story. It’s about growing up. It’s about holding onto childhood for as long as you can, friendship, the unsettled feeling of not quite belonging, and that bittersweet moment when you feel things start to change.
For a self-published author, this is seriously impressive. There’s so much heart in it. If you’re into nostalgic coming-of-age stories with a little sci-fi twist and some emotional punches you didn’t expect, definitely check it out. Immediately bought his first two books after reading this one, and I am looking forward to reading whatever he writes next.
