This was the cutest story! Nylow & Renju were very likable main characters, and you find yourself rooting for them even when you want them to make different decisions. It was such a perfect mixture of fun, spice & drama to keep you intrigued. It did go from 0-10 lol, when the spicy scenes began, they came with a bang! I don’t read many books with a royal touch to it, so that was a very interesting topic! Overall a much enjoyed novella, that I would certainly recommend checking out.

Read the Room

This was a fun read, but I felt like the mystery should’ve been easy to solve. Especially for Nylow. I really enjoyed the chemistry she shared with Renju. She kept saying that he made her feel safe. I loved that. I’m happy that there will be a second book about their relationship. I can’t wait to read it.

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½📣📰🤴🏿🏫🏟

My thoughts: 📘 I learned from the bibliography that Courtside Confidential is actually a multi-author series. Authors and publishers really need to do a better job of linking these books together on retail platforms—that's how you get the benefit of shared exposure, which is the entire point of doing a series like this! Of course, this author has Courtside Confidential: Teegan & Solari listed as a standalone, but Courtside Confidential: Adrian & Renee is already on my TBR. I suspected it might be connected to a series since the characters' names are on the cover.
This book definitely had the best setup so far. Did they not use the same art director for the rest of the series? I absolutely loved the full-color artwork of the gossip rag (well, school paper). The story itself was pretty good, and for some odd reason, I was actually slightly surprised by the climax!
I really liked how Coya incorporated characters from the other books in the universe, even though I haven't officially "met" Poet yet.

Recommend to others: Absolutely. If you are a fan of Coming to America, you will really enjoy this story.

Memorable Quotes: I turned to find Renju walking up with his backpack hanging off one shoulder and a cookie in his hand. Every time I turned around, he was eating something. It amazed me that men could really just eat whatever they wanted and not worry too much about calories. Renju was pretty athletic, but he didn’t participate in any sports. Looking at him, one wouldn’t really know that he preferred to talk about microorganisms and delving into the topic of international artists. He would say that there were too many instances of football players scrambling their brains and basketball players tearing ligaments to end up nowhere. Then he’d get down to the nitty-gritty of what happens in the body with those injuries. Spraining my ankle was a nightmare because he overanalyzed everything about it. He wasn’t wrong about any of it, though, but I’d imagined him sweaty and running up and down the court a time or two. He was extremely tall, so the basketball coach had been trying to get him to try out the moment he set foot on campus.

“Let us get this chicken potato soup, the simple spaghetti, and a single dish of ribeye, double cut, and cooked medium well, and another ribeye combo. Corn, broccoli, and mashed potatoes,” he ordered. “Can we get two blueberry lemonades as well?” I added.

I knew Nylow & Renju were about to give soft tension, quiet yearning and the kind of friendship that hits deeper than either of them wanted to admit. This wasn’t a rushed romance or a convenience crush this was a real friends to lovers journey built on time, trust and a connection that grew even while a big truth sat between them.

What I loved most is how Renju showed up for her. He wasn’t playing games, he wasn’t flirting just to see where it went he genuinely valued their friendship first. He created a space where she felt safe, seen and understood, all while carrying a secret that could shake their whole foundation. Honestly I don’t even know if he was wrong for holding back. He just wanted to experience life as Renju, not the title attached to him and he didn’t want that to change the way she looked at him. It made sense… even though you know that reveal was bound to hit hard.

Nylow brought her full self curious, bold, funny and full of heart never realizing that the guy she trusted most was also the one thing she couldn’t have guessed. Watching their friendship evolve into something sweeter felt natural, like it was always supposed to be them.

A solid, heartwarming friends to lovers story that gave just enough conflict, just enough sweetness and that perfect little reminder that sometimes the person you’re meant to be with has been right beside you the whole time… secret and all.

Besties to Royalty

Book 4 of 5: From Homecoming to Forever.

Renju was known around campus as the laidback foreign exchange student and best friend of Nylow. They spent all their free time with each other but the relationship was platonic or so Nylow thought. Renju is a gentleman always and never pursue beyond their friendship out of respect.

Nylow was earning her degree in journalism, cheerleading, and writing and editing for AU Campus Buzz. She always enjoyed spending time with Renju whenever the opportunity came. Homecoming outfit shopping changed her perspective on how she viewed Renju, but what she didn’t know was all the secrets he was truly hiding from her.

Spice level: 🌶️🌶️
Tropes
•Gossip girl source
• best friends to lovers
• secret millionaire/billionaire
• secret royalty member

Honestly this is the best book of the series. Lots of entertaining factors and I love it’s getting a Christmas sequel.

From Homecoming to Forever: Nylow & Renju is a sweet, flirty, and surprisingly emotional novella that pulled me in from the first page. I had the pleasure of reading an advance copy, and it did not disappoint. The visuals were top tier. Coya Wilson painted every scene so clearly that it felt like I was right there on campus, watching it all unfolds.

Coya Wilson delivered a quick but full story with heart, humor, and just the right amount of tension. The royal twist added the perfect touch of drama, and the connection between these two felt so natural and fun. It’s one of those short reads that leaves you smiling and wishing there was more.

Friends to Lovers

Nylow and Renju were a vibe! I enjoyed their easy-going friendship and the way they showed up for each other. The chemistry was there and the sparks flew during the shopping experience… I felt the shift off the pages. I felt for Renju, he just wanted to live life on his own terms instead of following the path that was laid out for him since birth and that meant keeping something close to his chest, especially when it came to someone as special as Nylow. I really enjoyed this story and how serious Renju was about Nylow. I’m hoping we get an update on them.

Beautiful Love Story

I love the story of Nylow & Renju. Definite friends to lovers romance. Nylow is juggling so many hats but the ultimate goal is trying to figure out if the day’s gossip is true or not. Will the secret turn out to be detrimental or is there a chance for redemption . Only way to find out is by reading From Homecoming to Forever: Nylow & Renju.
Hopefully if us readers ban together and beg maybe, just maybe we may get a little more.

This one was by far the cutest of the series for me. Nylow and Renju had such a sweet, easy connection that made me smile the whole time. Their energy together felt natural and genuine, and I really enjoyed being in their little world.

The only thing I wanted more of was what happened during the time jump. I would’ve loved to actually see some of that play out on the page instead of skipping over it. Even so, this was a really good time and my favorite of the bunch so far.

This was a fun, quick read. I really liked the bond the two characters shared and how it ended. However, I feel like realistically it would not have been that difficult for her to find out the truth about Renju.

Sweet

I started off liking the story but Nulow was doing a bit much, she and Renju were very disrespectful to his parents. Cussing out your parents wrong period.

4.5⭐️

From Homecoming to Forever: Nylow and Renju is a short, sweet, and spicy friends-to-lovers novella that hooked me from the start.

Nylow and Renju’s chemistry was undeniable — full of tension, warmth, and passion. Both characters were easy to connect with, and I found myself cheering for them the entire way through.

The story even gave me modern-day Coming to America vibes, which made it even more fun! It’s the perfect quick read when you want romance, heat, and heart all in one sitting.

I received this as an ARC from Ms. Wilson in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Thank you so much!

This was a quick read, I enjoyed the friends to lovers story line. This is part of series but I read as a standalone and I don’t think I missed much.

The MMC was determined to fight his family for what he wanted and it was his best friend. Good read for sure.

Going To Africa

Hmmm, 🧐 the literary sequel to the urban movie classic “Coming To America”…”Coming & Going to Africa” with a modern twist 🤭🤷🏾‍♀️‼️ Nevertheless, “From Homecoming to Forever: Nylow & Renju” was a cute read. Yet the storyline was predictable 🤷🏾‍♀️. Well, at least for the first phase of this newly minted international relationship between peasant & royalty aka Nylow & Renju🤭
