Tanya Janessy has survived horrors no one should endure. But survival came with a visions she cannot explain, power she cannot control, and the guidance of an aunt whose love is as dangerous as it is absolute.
Nafara Kavioni is brilliant, beautiful, and merciless. To the public, she is a visionary, a healer, a rising star. Behind closed doors, she is something older. something that will stop at nothing to reclaim what was stolen from her kind.
As whispers of prophecy spread across Texas and shadows stir from the City of Brass, Tanya must choose whether to resist or embrace the threads pulling her deeper into a legacy of fire.
Because when ancient flames awaken, they do not wait for belief.

A really great Follow up to Vulture House. I enjoyed how D.J.W. Jr. kept most of the horror aspects from Vulture House and implements a little more action into this one. The story kept me hooked throughout with little to no moments that felt dull or boring. Highly recommend, especially if you were a fan of Vulture House.
