Killer Pumpkin Bread

Rate this book
A charming New England bed-and-breakfast turns deadly when a guest is found murdered beside a loaf of pumpkin bread.

Lizzie and her sister Carolyn thought opening The Maple Leaf Inn in picturesque Ember Falls, Massachusetts would be the fresh start they desperately needed. Instead, their first busy autumn weekend takes a shocking turn when one of their guests is discovered dead in the library—stabbed with a Victorian letter opener.

With a house full of suspicious guests, a missing briefcase, and mysterious property deeds tied to the inn’s past, Lizzie quickly realizes someone in Ember Falls is hiding dangerous secrets. If she and Carolyn don’t uncover the truth soon, their cozy dream—and their freedom—could be on the line.

Perfect for fans of cozy culinary mysteries, small-town whodunits, and amateur sleuth stories, Killer Pumpkin Bread serves up fall atmosphere, quirky characters, and twisty secrets with every page. There may also be a black cat appropriately named Salem…

Grab a cup of coffee and settle in—because at The Maple Leaf Inn, breakfast may be sweet… but murder is on the menu.

I picked up a short Fall read because I wanted something lighthearted. Two baking‑obsessed sisters and their clever cat stumble into a small‑town mystery: someone has tried to poison the mayor, and they’re determined to uncover who—and why.

▪️ Language: none
▪️ Sex scenes: none
▪️ Violence: limited to an attempted poisoning

Every year I try a different cozy mystery.
I really don't like them, but I try one.
This one is no different, I really did not care for it.

If you like these books read it and I hope you like it
