I’m told I’m a villain.
I suppose they are right, but I didn’t start out this way.

This was my first Ele Ford book and I can't wait to go back and read the first two books in this series. Cyrus!!! Phew. I love a villain who only has eyes for the girl. This was so freaking good.

Cyrus is a spin off from the A Between series by Ele Ford. This is a dark romance
I haven't read anything by Ele before so I really didn't know what to expect when I received the ARC for this. I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would, the start was a bit slow but it soon went off!
Though the first half of the book was a bit slow I enjoyed that it started in the past. I found it really set up the storyline for the rest of the book and gave a backstory for the characters. I did sometimes find that things were a bit rushed or there were gaps in the timeline but it didn't take away from the overall story.
I really loved the characters, mainly Cyrus. A morally grey MC who will do anything for the ones he loves but still a softie as well. I don't always love insta love books but it fitted well into this storyline. I did like Liv and related to her in some ways but didn't connect with her as much as I normally do.
Although I didn't fully connect with some of the characters I still enjoyed this book a lot, especially the last half of the book. This is a dark romance with some dark themes so check the TWs before reading.

When I saw that Ele Ford wrote the Cyrus story, I was nervous. So much of his chaos was well documented in the first three books and he was so mean, but the 3rd book showed a bit of humanity and Ele is an amazing writer, so I began my reading journey. Cyrus did not disappoint! Ele gave him so much dimension in character and you feel all of the emotions as the storyline comes together and all of the previous characters play their part. Another brilliant book in the series!

I’m really glad we got a Cyrus story. I was wanting to know more about him after the second book, and his story doesn’t disappoint. He and Liv had to go through so much to finally be together! Loved this book!
