Kallen
My amber eyes and royal blood have set me apart my entire life, no matter how much I wished differently. I have only ever wanted to fit in and be treated the same as everyone else, but no matter how hard I try, I am always rejected. I am the Princess of Nothing, sitting upon an invisible throne with no subjects to worship me. But my title did not stop the Velgriddix. Those bugs did not care who I was supposed to be since all they wanted was the vessel of my body. Time became a blur of suffering and sacrifice until powerful arms emerged from the mist, and I saw a set of bright, purple eyes promising me the connection I had always craved. I thought the gods of Ruk had heard my prayers, but the darkness within the one who should have been my savior has destroyed all I ever dreamed of. Now I seek only the solace of peace, either in this world or the next.
Ruarc
The gods must be playing a cruel joke by pairing a worthless miner and a princess. I have nothing to offer her but struggles and heartache. So, I tell myself that I do not want her, or anyone else for that matter, but no matter how hard I fight against the will of the gods, I am truly failing at pushing their blessing away. My eyes constantly seek out my obsession, while my mouth and body shove her away. I crave her almost to the point of madness, but I refuse to fail her like I have all the others. Even though her tears rip my hearts out, I will never be worthy of her, no matter how I wish things could be otherwise. She thinks I am being stubborn, but it is so much more complicated than that. The evil that resides within me is unpredictable and unstable, so I fight it with every breath I take. I have already caused her tears of heartache, but I would want to stop existing if they turned to tears of terror instead.

This storyline ends in a HEA, but continues on throughout the remaining series as each book concentrates on a particular couple. Have questions?? Keep reading, all will be revealed….

Perfect!

Ruarc was determined not to allow the mating bond to be completed, and it slowly weakened Him, and Kallen. Constantly fighting they God given bond, was harder every day, yet his bull headed argument , that he wasn't worthy of being with a princess. Kallen was just as determined that if he didn't want her, she was done begging him to accept this gift they were given. Even if they both died due to his refusal. Finally finding his " Mam", and the little sister he never knew, was a source of joy, but she also was unhappy with her second oldest son, being so determined to refuse his gift of this Bond. A near death experience two times, with each of them taking the chance. They do have a HEA ending, but now decisions must be made on who stays planet side, and who continues the Brigand lifestyle, to bring needed supplies to their surviving clan, and new mated couples. No Romance😞

I usually like this authors books but this one fell flat for me. The mmc is so mean and angry throughout the first 80%of this book. Not morally grey which is usually fun for me. This guy is a dud. His reasoning for rejecting his mate is weak. The fmc just responds to this with despondency and depression. I was so over this book by the end. I just wanted to finish it so that I can go find a real romance to read. Skip this book from the series. You won’t miss anything other than the family finally being reunited. If the author comes out with a new book I will give it a go since I’ve liked her other books but I will be wary. I hope that I won’t be disappointed. Not every book can be a hit.
Happy reading 🌹📚

great story line!

In the beginning I disliked Ruarc. His mean hatful ways were disturbing. Until i realized it was because of his feeling unworthy of his mate Kallen , who was of a royal blood line and he was not. kallen was a strong woman whom fell into weakness due to Ruarc s refusal of her as his mate. In the end I loved the transition from hate, denial, refusal, heart break, sadness to happiness, acceptance, bonding, believing and loving. This book covers it all. Wonderful story line with a lot of heat felt moments. Would recommend this book.

stupid delays by Ruarc

I was disappointed that Ruarc didn’t accept the mate bind especially after he talked smack to his brother Einar’s mate about making him suffer. He was a jerk and I had to give Kallen credit for being willing to ignore there clear mate bond. So happy they had the opportunity to be reconnected with the Ruk. So refreshing to find 2 Ruk’s together instead of human Ruk mating. Not against humans but it was nice to see “native aliens” getting it on. Glad the humans get a chance to live on a beautiful planet after Earth’s destruction.

Good story

This story isn't as good as the other ones. It was kinda slow and wasn't edited as well. Most of the characters were Awesome and fun to get into, but Ruarc just kept whining past the point of believability. Thanks again Jennifer, Julie and Jewel, I look forward to reading more written by y'all.

a great read

I enjoyed the expanding experience of the brothers and Ruarc faces his future. I was happy to read that Ginger survived. I know that her husband Ricky will be so happy. I look forward to the next book and enjoy this new universe.

fear is our deepest enemy

Complicated, stubborn Ruarc almost misses the greatest joy life could offer. Finally reunited with his Mother, he realizes his life is meaningless without his mate. HEA finally

Good read🌟

Ruarc was an idiot for most of the book. Thank the gods he saw the light! Kallen bless her hearts was patient to a point. There were times that brought tears for sure. Frustration was there as well. Yep this was well worth the read. Enjoy

Stubborn and Bullheaded

I wanted to slap the back of Ruarc’s bald head! He was so cruel to poor Kallen. I understand not feeling worthy but he was just downright awful. RUBY gave it to him good! I’m happy he finally pulled his head out of his you know what.

Omg!! This is the 3rd book in this stand alone interconnected series and honestly I thought I was gonna hate it because lets be honest ruarc is just so infuriating but I can say he redeemed himself by the end and the journey had me in tears for Kallen. I finished this book in a few hours and now my mind and heart feel in some sort of way!! If you havent read any of these books yet please do!! I love everyone!!
