When Monsieur Monmouton takes his farm animals to Paris, France, for holiday, they visit all the most famous sights and cause lots of laughter wherever they go.
Found a signed edition of this picture book in the thrift shop today. Nothing beats reading your found books on an autumn afternoon on the couch with a cup of tea. Enjoyed especially the pictures in this book.
Recommended for those who like Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type, as we do. Plus, we've got some particular affection for Paris, probably because I studied French all through school, and retain enough to pronounce things correctly, even if I can't remember any phrases other than Quelle heur et'il?
A silly story, but the illustrations are beautifully descriptive and accurate once they arrive in Paris, and the sights they see take me back to being there myself. However, the beginning of the story is a bit wordy for me and dragged until it got to the exciting parts.
