The mark is gone. The truth is out. And Reize has vanished.
She's lived her whole life in the shadows of prophecy, sealed behind the Veythra. But it wasn't just a mark—it was a lie. A silencing. Now that it's shattered, the truth refuses to stay buried.
Reize wasn't born without magic. She was born with the one kind that should never exist. Umbraeth burns in her veins—dark, ancient, forbidden. The moment the seal broke, the Kings felt her awakening. And now, they want what was promised.
She runs—from them. From herself. From the power clawing its way to the surface. From what she might become if she lets it in.
But Calyx has never needed to know her secrets. He's always seen the shadows she carried, the things she kept hidden. And still—he chose her.
She is his world. And he would burn every other one to bring her home.
This time, though, he's not the only one hunting her. The Kings are rising. The past is waking. And everything buried in shadow is about to be unveiled.
⋆✴︎˚。⋆𝐩𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 REVELATIONS! UNVEILING! FINALE! the final instalment of the Fated series! I'm so excited cuz my girl Reize is finally getting some screen time! (Hopefully! 🤞🤞)
Thank you Cosette Verga for the eARC of the book! (~ ̄³ ̄)~
I flew through this book because it’s Reize and Calyx — my favorites. Their love and devotion to each other is everything, and I loved getting a full book focused on them.
This was such a good read. The emotions, the connection, the way they fight for each other… it all worked for me. I’m so invested in them and their story.
The only part where I felt a little lost was during the section where Ash, Areya, and Calyx go to Umbraeth to rescue Reize. That part felt like it jumped around really quickly, and I’m honestly not sure if I read too fast and missed something or if it was written that way intentionally. Either way, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the book overall.
I continue to love the author’s writing style. It’s emotional, engaging, and easy to get pulled into, which is probably why I keep flying through these books.
I’m genuinely shocked this series isn’t talked about more, because it deserves way more attention. If you love romantasy with devotion, strong emotional connections, and characters you get attached to fast, this series is absolutely worth reading.

I just finished, "Unveiled," the 5th book in Cosette Verga's "Fated" series, and I absolutely LOVED it. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, I gasped, I smiled…. 💙
It was everything I hoped for in the final story of a series! (though a novella is soon to arrive!)
While Areya and Sebastian ("Ash") have been the main characters of Books 1-4, this book shifts its main focus to Calyx and Reize.
Calyx, who is the Commander of Ambrosia's forces and Ash's best friend, is a fiercely loyal, loving friend- and just as fierce and determined of a warrior.
Reize, Ash's sister- has a quiet, often humble strength, a character who keeps everyone at arm's length- especially Calyx.
Since the moment they met hundreds of years ago, they were instantly drawn to one another. But Reize has a secret she's kept to herself all these years. Something that keeps her from being able to open herself up to Calyx and the obvious and deep connection that is between them.
For the first four books of the series, we have seen Calyx YEARN - and my goodness, does he YEARN. He loyally stays by Reize's side, even though he doesn't know why she pushes him away when she so clearly cares.
Calyx has never given up on Reize, has been dedicated and committed to being patient for her to be ready, as he believes with all of his heart that one day, they WILL be together (and even if Reize never chooses him, his heart will always belong to her). But until then, he will be there every step of the way- supporting her, protecting her, fighting alongside her and the rest of their friends and family to save the world.
What this book does EXTREMELY well is shift focus from the original main characters, to two other characters late in the series- which could have been difficult to accept as a reader if it hadn't been done so seamlessly by author Cosette Verga. Ash and Areya are still very much in the story, as are all of the other characters we have grown to love over the series, but we've been given an incredible gift in that we get an ENTIRE book about these two characters who definitely deserved an entire book about them and their story.
This shift in main characters was so rewarding after getting to know them so well over the first four books, and now we were able to see their stories through their eyes.
We get so much of their backstory that we didn't know until now- and every part of that backstory just fit so well into the dynamic we've seen them share through the series. I found myself saying, "oh, that makes SO much sense!" so often while learning about how they met, how they fell for each other, and what challenges they faced in the beginning. I definitely feel that the backstory was written so incredibly well that a reader will always find new things to appreciate when going back and reading the first books again.
In fact, so many questions were answered that I, as the reader, was able to connect with Calyx as he learned the answers to questions he's held for hundreds of years. It made me appreciate Calyx even more, because we learn so much about how selflessly he truly has always loved Reize.
And with that understanding, we see why Reize has kept him at arm's length- to protect him. No matter how badly she wanted to give in to what she wanted- to be with him- she could never allow herself to risk his safety and his soul.
The love these characters have is beautiful in every way. They love each other not only in beautiful words in their newly-found transparency in their relationship, but in their everyday actions. They are always thinking of how to help and support each other.
While we experienced major victories at the end of Book 4, there are still HUGE challenges to overcome, evil to battle, and safety of loved ones and their futures to fight for.
And as this "Fated" family has always done- they'll fight it together. All of our favorite characters are here to celebrate the victories and milestones, and also support each other through every challenge and hard time that comes their way.
You can definitely feel the author's love for these characters and their stories. She took SUCH care to give us so many moments to experience with them all- not just the big, action-packed ones, but the quiet, everyday moments that provide a sense of familiarity that one feels with their closest of family and friends.
I love these characters so much- Cosette has created such tangible people that definitely jump off the page and feel so real- because to us, the readers - they ARE. 🙂
I can't wait for the world to experience "Unveiled"- I know you'll love it as much as I did!
If you like these themes, you'll love this series and book: Slow-Burn Fated Bonds "Touch Her and Die" Magic Spice/Passion Found Family Good vs. Evil
I needed a minute to collect myself to write this review. This was such a satisfying ending to the Fated series, well, ending to the chaos that has been plaguing them since book 1. I loved getting new POVs in the story and especially Reize and Calyx. I was waiting for their story and was not disappointed at ALL! For my ACOTAR lovers, it was giving Nesta and Cassian vibes minus the brooding and anger and just was straight love and devotion, even if it took them 300 years to get here.
The way this family stands together no matter what gives me chills. I just love everything about them. The way they support each other and ride for each other is exactly how it should be in a found family. They do not disappoint.
“Even then, I think I knew I’d love you forever. Even when I didn’t think I’d be allowed to. Even when I thought loving you would destroy us both.”
Don’t skip the Novellas, they are a must. So excited to continue the Fated journey with the Legacies!
UNVEILED by Cosette Verga Fated Series Book 5 | Romantic Fantasy
✨ A deeply rewarding shift in perspective that gives Calyx and Reize the space and the truth they’ve deserved since book one.
The mark is gone. The Veythra is shattered. And Reize’s greatest secret refuses to stay buried. For centuries, everyone believed she was born without magic. Instead, she carries Umbraeth—dark, forbidden, ancient power that should never exist. Now that it’s awake, the Kings feel her, want her, and are ready to claim what prophecy promised.
Reize runs from the Kings, from her magic, and from the danger she believes she brings to everyone she loves.
But Calyx refuses to let her disappear. He has never needed explanations to love her. He’s always seen the shadows, the distance, and the quiet strength she tried to hide. She is his world, and he will cross every realm to bring her home.
This installment shifts the spotlight from Areya and Ash to Calyx and Reize and the transition feels seamless, earned, and incredibly satisfying. The found family remains central, the stakes are still rising, and their dynamic finally takes center stage in a way that feels meaningful for the series as a whole.
What I Loved: 💫 A stunning focus shift that feels both natural and long overdue ⚔️ Calyx’s unwavering devotion finally met with truth and vulnerability 🌑 Reize confronting the power she’s spent centuries fearing 🔍 Backstory that recontextualizes their entire dynamic 🫶 Quiet emotional moments balanced with high-stakes danger 🌿 Found family that continues to anchor this series 🌌 Rising tension as old enemies circle closer 💞 A romance defined by patience, yearning, and choice
Tropes & Elements: 🔥 Slow Burn 💘 Fated Bonds (complicated + earned) ⚫ Forbidden Magic 🩹 Protective MMC (“Touch her and die”) 🌌 Multi-Realm Fantasy 🛡️ Found Family ⚔️ Good vs. Evil 💫 Lovers With Centuries of History
Vibe: intimate, emotional, mythic, character-driven Spice: present; passion rooted in emotional honesty For fans of: devotion arcs, century-long yearning, forbidden magic, and romantasy that gives side characters the spotlight they deserve
💜 Unveiled is a gift for longtime readers. It's rich in backstory, full of emotional payoff, and grounded in the relationships that have shaped this series from the beginning. Calyx and Reize shine, and their story adds depth, clarity, and heart to the world Cosette Verga has built.
Cosette Verga has created a beautiful world within the pages of The Fated Series. The story line is full of deep, beautifully flawed characters, starting with Ash & Areya. The world she created is full of magic, villains, vampires, shapeshifters, giants, dragons, and so much more. Along the vast journey these characters go through, more and more couples are introduced and become vital as the storyline progress.
That said, there are technical errors in this story. There is a huge missed opportunity to make each book about a different couple, and really provide the readers with the depth of character building we have become accustomed to with romantasy works. There is quite a bit of repetition in all of these books. Things are consistently repeated, and it almost feels as though the repetition is done intentionally to extend story. It is completely unnecessary. I was able to overlook these things as I have beta read quite a bit, however, I worry readers won’t be so forgiving. I would highly recommend that the author get a couple of really good beta readers who are going to be real with her and not worry about hurting her feelings. Authors want to know that their work is good and ready to be made public, they don’t want smoke blown up their butts.
It’s clear that Ms. Verga has a beautiful storytelling ability, there’s always refinement that is needed on the end product. Regardless, I wouldn’t have traded the journey I took with Ash & Areya, Calyx & Reize, and all of the other beautiful characters she has introduced me to. Ms. Verga, if you’re in need a good beta reader, hit me up.
Faded mates Enemies to lovers Dom/sub High stakes/dark secrets
The spicy scenes were spicing in this book! I was glued to the pages! I’m so happy these two finally got their story! Reese is such a strong character, she’s been through so much, she deserves her HEA!
Calyx, who is the Commander of Ambrosia's forces and Ash's best friend, is a fiercely loyal, a loving friend- and just as fierce and determined of a warrior. And Calyx has never given up on Reize, has been dedicated and committed to being patient for her to be ready, as he believes with all of his heart that one day, they WILL be together (and even if Reize never chooses him, his heart will always belong to her). He knows their destiny! Inevitable. End game! But until then, he will be there every step of the way-supporting her, protecting her, fighting alongside her and the rest of their friends and family to save the world. I love this series and I’m completely immersed in this world. I 100% recommend this series. Absolutely fantastic! Brilliant writing! I’m looking forward to more from this Author.
Unveiled is the fifth book in the Fated series, and it delivers an emotional gut punch in the best possible way.
This installment finally gives us Reize and Calyx’s story—two characters who have always been tethered by an undeniable connection, even when secrets and distance stood between them. Calyx’s fierce, unwavering devotion to Reize has been there since the beginning, and now that Reize is no longer sealed behind the mark, we truly get to see just how far both of them are willing to go for each other. Their fated bond is intense, raw, and deeply earned.
One of my favorite parts of this book was getting to see familiar characters from a new perspective. Watching Reize and Calyx take center stage while Ash, Areya, and the rest of the found family step into supporting roles made the world feel even richer and more layered. It’s a reminder of how strong this series is at building interconnected relationships that actually matter.
I honestly don’t remember the last time a series made me cry this much. Cosette Verga has a way of pulling you in from the very first page and refusing to let go. The story is emotional in all the right ways, and the healing each character goes through feels necessary and deeply satisfying by the end.
If you’re invested in the Fated series, Unveiled is everything you’ve been waiting for—magic, devotion, found family, and a love that refuses to break. 💔✨
“Today isn’t about perfection. It’s about promise. About choosing one another—not because fate demanded it, but because love did.”

Unveiled by Cosette Verga is one of those rare books that doesn’t just tell a story — it slowly, tenderly reveals the human heart layer by layer until you’re left feeling seen, exposed, and deeply moved.
This novel is intimate in the quietest, most powerful way. It explores vulnerability, healing, and the courage it takes to let someone truly see you — not the polished version, but the messy, scarred, beautiful truth underneath. The emotional depth is breathtaking. Every interaction feels meaningful, every moment charged with longing and honesty.
Cosette Verga’s writing is elegant and immersive, with a softness that somehow still hits hard. The characters feel achingly real — flawed, guarded, hopeful — and watching their walls come down feels like being trusted with something sacred. I found myself slowing down just to savor the prose, to sit inside the feelings a little longer.
Unveiled is about connection. About the fear of being known and the magic of being loved anyway. It’s tender without being fragile, emotional without being melodramatic, and romantic in the most genuine, soul-deep way.
This book doesn’t shout — it whispers straight to your heart. And long after the final page, its echoes linger. A truly beautiful, unforgettable read. 💔✨📖
This prequel after the story of Areya and Ash is about Reize and Calyx and Umbreath. I really love their story and I especially enjoyed the flashbacks how it all started and what was going on between them. It is heartbreaking, beautiful in its own sad way and I loved reading it. The new thread and how everything unfolds is really interesting and well done and it didn't felt like I read over 600 pages - I was captived. I cried, I laughed, I hoped and I rooted. Reize is so brave and fierce. I feel so sorry for her story - the things done and taken from her. But still she is good and kind and protective. She loves fiercely and puts everyone before herself. Calyx is the light everyone needs. He is there everytime - protective, steady and loving. He is the anchor and the lightness everyone needs in their life and he has one of the kindest hearts. Unveiled is amazing! The world building is great - you can feel the vibes of a place and something; Umbreath gives you the chills. I really enjoyed reading about the characters we already know and learn more about their life. The love and the protectiveness is not only between Reize and Calyx but also between all of the found family.
I have loved Calyx since the beginning of this series, and getting his and Reize’ POVs in this book was much needed. I loved how much of himself he poured into Areya in the beginning of the series, without having it be tied into anything romantic. The characters in these books all have their own unique qualities and things we love about them. Seeing through on Reizes’ destiny and getting answers this book was nice as there was so much mystery around her for so long. To finally be able to have their love story unfold as well as touching base on their perspectives on each other from younger years was nice and added even more depth to them. I do feel like the ooey gooey outpouring of words and tears gets to be a bit too much, and can be quite repetitive. When it goes on and on it starts to feel less believable and takes away from the story. I’m also not a very ooey gooey person so maybe it’s a me thing. Thank you to the author for the arc read, and letting me finish off this series. I binged it, and am leaving my complete honest review in thanks.
Every book in this series has been just as amazing as the next. I’ve been looking forward to finally hear the story about Reize and Calyx. Someone so wonderful born of something you can’t imagine and for a purpose no sane person would want. Nor could you imagine. It’s a lot to take in, let alone to endure alone. Their love seemed impossible, and it seemed like nothing would ever come of it no matter what. They waited so long for each other and the moment that caused her to throw caution to the winds changed it all. Such sacrifice for the man she loved…to save him and others amongst them. Only for things to take a turn for the worse thereafter. Times a funny thing in other places. It seems to pass much longer than in reality. Yet he stopped at nothing to get her back. When they go to end it, it made me cry as they all said their goodbyes. I won’t say much more but it was a rollercoaster love story with action and a happily ever after at the end. You won’t regret reading this and the others in this series
UNVEILED" will undo you... put you back together and deliver you. What a fantastic read. Book 5 and still Cosette Verga will shock you, spin your emotions wildly and then gently set you back down. Calyx and Reize got the story they deserve. They have been unwavering in their support and sacrifices in the past. Took every hardship in their stride and still loved their families and friends with depthless devotion and unconditional love. Now its their turn to get supported and no one... no one disappoints. The journey is faced paced and damn does it deliver on emotion and imagination. You will be enthralled surprised and enlightened. This series doesn't just grow on you... It becomes A PART of you. Book after Book the Journey is engaging and entertaining. I cant wait for "UNBOUND" and her new series "FATED LEGACIES". Cosette Verga will give you a gift in her writing... one that you will keep like a treasure forevermore... Take the Journey... IT'S WORTH IT.
What to say what to say... this book was INCREDIBLE!! I feel like I have waited SO long to know and hear Calyx and Reize's love story and it was just as beautiful as Ash and Areya's but in completely different ways. These two have loved each other for their entire lives but Reize always kept her distance to try to protect Calyx not knowing he would be the one to save her!🥹😍The love between these two I could just feel it leap off the pages! The emotions and feels this book made me feel throughout the entire thing was just amazing!🥹🥹😍😍😭😭😭 Cosette is such an incredible writer and this book did NOT disappoint! She definitely did not come to play with the spicy scenes in this one! They were SOO good! But it wasn't just smut or spice for the sake of it it complimented the story and the characters so well you could feel their love and emotions! 🥹🥹😍😍😍🥵🥵 If you haven't read this series seriously what are you waiting for?!? I can't wait for the novella and the new spin off series! 😍😍😍
The fifth and last book in the 'Fated' series. The writing and description was deep and breathless! Darkness and light intertwined through every detail!
It continues where the fourth book leaves off but in the perspective of two different main characters then the other four books. I love the details and depth but it did feel like some things were a little repetitive.
The relationship between these characters are different and spicier then the other books. It's more open with the intimacy but it makes you feel like you're watching in on someone else rather than being a part of it. Slightly less realistic, although, the love is deep, unrelenting, and real! Explicit language, especially the F*word it's used more freely.
I'm so grateful that, although it's the end of the series, Cosette continues to bless us with additional books with life updates and connections to this 'Fated"family! I'm excited to read the additional novellas and her next series!
Book five continued all the things I loved about the first four while also shining the spotlight on Reize. That shift brought a fresh emotional lens and added depth in a way that felt fitting with where the series had taken us previously.
This installment really shines in its found family moments. The themes of choice continue to carry weight, but they’re paired beautifully with resilience and the strength that comes from letting people show up for you. Those quieter, character-driven beats made this one especially powerful for me.
This felt like a strong, emotionally grounded wrap-up of long-running arcs while still leaving space to savor the journey. A satisfying, heartfelt read that reinforced why I’ve stayed so invested in these characters and this world.
Huge thank you to the author, for sharing this series with me!!
Unveiled is an emotional chokehold in fantasy form. Reize is branded, hidden, and forbidden to love the one man who could unravel fate itself—Calyx. This isn’t your average fated mates fluff. It’s ancient gods, soul vows, necromancy, trauma tattoos, and a kingdom teetering on the edge of ruin… all while two soulbound lovers are forced apart to save everyone but themselves. The writing? Lush and lethal. The worldbuilding? Dense and dramatic. The angst? Thick enough to spoon. If you want forbidden love, prophecy-level pain, and a heroine who could burn the world down just to save it, this is your book. Bonus points for the morally gray family drama and jaw-clenching sexual tension. Protect Reize and Calyx at all costs.
As I was flying through the Fated series by Cosette Verga I hoped she’d spend some time diving into a second love story besides Ash and Areya, because I could tell it was just as important as theirs, and I got everything I could have hoped for in the final full length novel of the series Unveiled!! Calyx and Reize’s story needed to be told, and Cosette (once again) handled this story with the undying love and devotion it deserved, and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. The heartbreak of everything Reize went through was beautifully balanced by the absolute devotion and faith Calyx held towards her, even as he struggled with his own demons. Powerful storytelling and compelling characters combined into a power house of a series I can’t get enough of!!
Unveiled is a captivating dark fantasy that combines magic, suspense, and romance into a truly immersive story. Cosette Verga’s characters are layered and relatable, with emotional depth that makes their journeys compelling. The world-building is vivid, drawing readers into a universe that feels alive and full of intrigue.
The pacing is strong overall, though a few sections could have been slightly tighter, but this doesn’t detract from the overall enjoyment.
Overall, Unveiled is an engaging and atmospheric read for fans of dark fantasy and paranormal romance, leaving you eager for the next installment.
I have been very invested in this series to see the plot related to Reize. It did not disappoint. This was the best novel of the 5. The connection between the FMC and MMC is electric and we’ve learned to love the characters in prior books. I still feel that the author has specific themes that degrade the value of the book. For example - there is always a certain amount of cheesiness present that sort of feels fake and lacks authenticity and there are multiple pages of tiny sentences that drags out pages in a way that is excessive. Overall though, this was a great book that I couldn’t put down!
I just finished Unveiled and let me tell you, this series is a rollar coaster. I just couldn't stop reading it. I'm starting the novella next.
(spoiler ? maybe)
Where can I find a man like Calyx?! like dang. Rieze and him quickly turned into my favorite couple. I truly hope this series blows up, it is well deserved. thank you so much Cosette for giving me the privilege of reading this story! ❤️ also forgot to add, I REALLY love how the last book is more centered around Calyx and Rieze. I love Ash and Areya but I'm so happy that Calyx and Rieze finally got there happy ending. I honestly wish there was more!

Finally! We find out all about Reize! She has been one of my favorite characters throughout the entire series. Something about not knowing exactly what she’s hiding and how much she loves Calyx but couldn’t show it, I adore it. I loved the redemption of certain characters and the introduction of others. This book shows that things aren’t always set in stone. Fate and love can change things in ways no one really understands. There is always a balance. Light and shadows in perfect harmony.
I did receive this as an ARC and am leaving this review of my own will.
Ok so I may have under estimated Cosette. I didn’t think her books could get better! But this one was better and more! The amount of times I held my breath and just wanted to cry! The emotions that these characters portrayed had me breaking with them. Specially Calyx! The way he broke down just had me tearing up multiple times. I thought I loved Areya and Ash but I think I secretly always loved Reize and Calyx the most. This was a great Series and I would definitely read it again! Thank you for allowing me to jump in to this series Cosette!
This is the 5th book in the fated series and Cosette has really brought this series to life from the very first novel. This series has grown in leaps and bounds. The characters are strong and one can only fall in love with them all. You feel their pain, joys and despire and love . Cosette has made us travel on this magical journey learning about other realms that only the imagination can create. I'm so looking forward to it seeing how cosettes writing journey evolves over the years. I've never regretted asking her to join her arc group. She keeps fantasy alive.
4.5⭐️ A really fantastic conclusion to a brilliant series! Loved that this book focused on Reize and Calyx, their relationship definitely deserved time to blossom after being hinted at through the last four books! And as always the overarching plot of the book was incredibly well thought out and engaging, full of action and peril for the man characters. Again the author did a really brilliant job of weaving emotion into the story, so you really feel everything alongside the characters. Definitely recommend this series to anyone chasing the ACOTAR high!
The time you have been waiting for, the story of Reize and why she has the mark, why she refuses Calyx even though it is obvious they are meant to be, what she is fighting with. A whole book with Calyx and Reizes POV and as with all of the books I really loved it. Cosette really has a lovely way of unfolding the story, to get ones attention so you just want more. She rounded the whole series so beautifully and every book got me trough so many feelings, sorrow, joy, love, heartbreak, laughter. I felt so much and I love this series!
The final full length book in the Fated series felt less like the final novel and more like a love letter for Fans of Calyx and Reize. This book closes out all the issues that were open from the series but also gives you so much more background for the relationship and struggles with the two of them. In case it wasn't obvious in this book they are the main couple there is very little that isn't directly from their POV. That said this was my favorite of the series, the pacing and storytelling were just perfect.
I received this ebook from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This was my favorite book of the series. That seems to be a theme for me as I moved through these books. Rieze and Calyx’s story was less stretched and darker than the previous books. I enjoyed their banter and growth more than with Ash and Areya.
I’m feeling torn on reading the next book because I want to end on a high note, but it’s the real-time ARC so I’m going in!
The final book of the main series. This reads just like the others, so if you enjoyed 1-4 you will enjoy 5 as well. Verga hits all the emotions. She is has you running throughout every single emotion imaginable. This book switches from Areya and Ash being our main characters to Reize and Calyx. I love that we got to complete Reize's storyline. I was worried she wasn't going to get the well rounded ending she deserves.
I did not expect the series to be this amazing. I tend not to read what a book Is about I look forward to the surprise it will give me. The Fated series is full of heart ache, courage, love and so much sacrifice for the characters who become part of you as you immerse yourself in every page and feel everything that they are living. Truly worth my time. ♥️
