A jackass and a twink walk into a general store. Which one pisses off the psychopath? Which one brings out my true nature?
When I moved to Devil’s Point, I wanted to leave my old life behind, become someone new. But it seems like my old life isn’t done with me yet. A customer dances on my last nerve and a song I despise pushes me over the edge. I’m out for blood. Their blood. What I get in return is so much more. I sate my bloodlust, and get a hummingbird for my troubles.
Remington
It’s perfectly normal to feel a little infatuated with someone when they save your life, right? Never mind that Streeter saved me by killing a room full of people. I’m willing to ignore that he’s a psychopath.
Especially since it feels so good when he touches me. When—for the first time in my life—I feel like someone actually sees me. I’m just not sure if he sees me as something temporary to keep him warm, or if he wants to keep me after the snowstorm ends.
Murder Under the Mistletoe is an M/M Dual POV fast-burn slasher romance with high heat, an over-the-top serial killer, and a soft cinnamon roll who can’t help but want him.
You won’t want to miss this multi-author series. Because all dark love stories start with murder and mayhem.
Uhm… I’m not sure what to say here. I can go with a lot of shit and eat it up but this was kinda feral and downright crazy? Too crazy and pointless for me, tbh. It was hot, tho. In the end I just clocked out and I have no desire to finish it.
Remi + Streeter 🖤 First times | "Hummingbird" | Fear boners | Humor | Insta love
I'm always a fan of these two writing together.
Remi and Streeter are strangers who meet when Remi's abusive boyfriend tricks him into going up to a cabin only to have horrible plans in store. Enter Streeter, the local murder hobbyist who rightfully kills Remi's boyfriend and his friends before they can do what they had planned.
Streeter may be a murderer and rough around the edges but Remi has never been more seen or safe than in his arms of a killer.
Remi is a romance reader and at one point he brings up stuff he wants to try from his books but never felt safe enough to engage in with his ex.
....
“I can taste your fear, Hummingbird. It’s sweet.” His hand goes under my chin, forcing me to look at him. “Are you afraid? Does that fear make your dick hard? Make your hole flutter, wanting a killer inside you?”
"Survival instincts. Trauma response. Really hot guy who is actually attentive to my needs and seems to… like me?"
“So you’re not going to kill me? ... No, Remi. I’m not going to kill you. I’m gonna do something worse. I’m gonna make you love me.”
“If I could kill that asshole again for making you doubt yourself, I would in a fucking heartbeat. I’d kill him over and over, each way more brutal than the last if it made you realize that you’re worth keeping safe, Hummingbird. No one will ever hurt you again, Rem."
"I need him to kill the part of me that thinks I’m not worth keeping."
....

Holy shit, this book was the perfect little spicy novella I needed.
Streeter is exactly the kind of unhinged killer I fall for every damn time. The attitude. The swagger. The violence. The possessiveness that practically bleeds off the page. I swear I could feel the tension in my bones. And Remi? My sweet anxious disaster of a darling. I wanted to wrap him up, kiss his forehead, and then stab Trevor in the eye with a dull butter knife for what he put him through.
Their chemistry? Absolutely feral. The fear, the softness, the adrenaline, the need…all tangled together until I was just sitting there whispering “oh my god” like a broken record.
And the way Streeter handles him during the panic attack? So fucking sweet. That’s the kind of intimacy I read dark romance for - the moment where the monster chooses tenderness for one person only.
This book had me kicking my feet, giggling, sweating, and clutching my imaginary pearls. A slasher romance shouldn’t be this hot. But here I am. Ruined.
"He has no business looking like an absolute angel when I know what he’s done. But maybe that’s still accurate. Once upon a time, the devil was an angel too."
3.5 ⭐️ This is a friends with benefits book. Honestly, I didn’t see any romance and feelings. Remi was getting abused, Trevor jumped in and slayed everyone in the cabin, they fucked, Remi got attached, they fucked, they talked, and then they fucked (which is good for me don’t get me wrong, but I wanted more feels, more emotional depth) I liked this book, it wasn’t bad per se, but I need/want more feelings and romance for me to actually enjoy a book. The steam was super hope, that’s always a bonus ❤️🔥 They are cute though 🥰
3.5⭐️ Remi is taken to a cabin by his horrible abusive ex, and terrible things are waiting for him there. However, he’s saved by an unexpected guest: Streeter, your friendly neighbourhood serial killer (mass murderer?) Make sure to take the title of this novella literally! 🫣
This book has: -killer x a victim he saves -insta-lust (and insta-love, methinks) -extreme violence (that makes Remi h*rny) -snowed in -lots of spice
This story is definitely wild. We start with some violent and unhinged setup, and quickly delve into a very sm*tty progression between Remi and Streeter. The main focus is definitely heavy on the spice, and low on pretty much everything else. So if you’re looking for some unhinged (slightly) holiday themed fun, then this is for you!
This was absolutely chaos from beginning to end and I was sat and ready for it. Streeter is such a teddy bear even though I’d never tell him that to his face. Even when he’s making heads roll (literally) he’s so gentle and sweet to Remi.
Their time in the cabin was sweet, spice and everything they both needed. I’m so glad that they got their happy ending. ☺️
It doesn’t conform to the bounds of reality or legality and that’s exactly where I like to live most of the time 🤪
I received a complimentary copy of this book but this is my honest and voluntary review! 🖤
Apparently listening to Mariah Carey can drive you into murdering bunch of assholes. ( they deserved it) Streeter our friendly neighbourhood serial killer is just at the right time at the right place. Remi this pure sweet boy is in a need of a saviour and thankfully Steeter was like a knight with shining axe.🪓 Nice read, I probably won’t remember it in a few weeks, but it was entertaining and I had fun.
“No, Remi. I’m not going to kill you. I’m gonna do something worse. I’m gonna make you love me.”
Normalize killing your abusers 🥰🔪I loved this toxic yet oddly soft duo!! Remi lowkey having no problem helping Streeter clean up a murder scene is honestly soulmate behavior and I am here for it. (Sidenote I would highkey love to see a story between Quill and Cameron in the future 👀)
Rating: 4/5 🌟 Spice: 3/5 🌶️ Characters: Streeter and Remington
I was honestly smiling from start to finish! It was fun, funny, sweet, steamy, and yeah…a bit gory, graphic, and murdery.
Streeter is an extremely charismatic, mostly logical, slightly unhinged psychopath with anger management issues. Remington is a beaten down adorable twink that needed a “safe” place to land and truly blossom into his also slight unhinged kinky self.
It’s full of Christmas music, some horrible people that get what they deserve, a cabin in the woods where they get snowed in, and hilarious friends as side characters.
Streeter gets called into work before a storm. While there he has a run in with a horrible guy and his adorable twink boyfriend. One admittedly diabolical Christmas song later and he’s raging his way up the mountain to take his anger out on the horrible guy. When he gets there he finds 5 guys and Remi. One gory scene later and he’s left trying to decide if he should end Remi or let him keep him warm throughout the storm.
I loved this and I loved both Streeter and Remington. Streeter was seriously sweet and thoughtful. He knew what Remi needed every step of the way and was able to help him recover quickly from his horrible ex while at the same time blossoming. I just with there was more. A bit longer to see them more after leaving the cabin.
Murder Under the Mistletoe - RS McKenzie & Lee McCormick 5/5
* SPOILERS *
I just don’t know why I’m surprised by how much I truly enjoyed this book. The first book of December and it’s just more amazing than I could ever thought. Streeter and Reno were just so good together and I was so sad when it was over.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from Streeter but he was definitely my favorite. He was so unhinged and just didn’t care what happened. Also, the start of the book by how much he dislikes Christmas music was the best way to get you trapped into this book.
I felt so bad for Remi when he gets himself into a certain situation that thankfully Streeter was there to save him. I highly recommend reading the triggers in this book so you’re not surprised.
The whole massacre scene was done so well and Remi was here for all of Streeter’s actions. I just loved how Streeter knew how to calm down his Hummingbird when he started to panic. That whole panic scene had me in all my feels.
I also really loved Quill and Camden. I think it’s entertaining of Camden’s infatuation with Quill. I really loved how these two had people in their corner.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

What a fun read and perfect for a wild Christmas themed Serial Killer romance!
Remi and Streeter definitely do not have the best start in meet cutes but Street has unwillingly become somewhat of a crazed hero when he saved Remi from something awful, what starts as a way to survive a couple night with a killer turn into something so much more for both!
This had so much joy in it! With the baddie mix, the book related connection and the over all wild connection these two had! I definitely enjoyed this and couldn’t keep the smile off my face the entire time!
This story is a fast burn, insta love Christmas story with forced proximity, high heat, snowed in and mistletoe. Streeter is a psychopath that moved to a sleepy little town to try and get himself under control and it all works until he runs into someone he wants to unalive. But still he tries to turn over that new leaf and calm himself with his pop divas but a certain Christmas song comes on and it’s all over for his target. His target is the ex boyfriend of his hummingbird, Remi. Remi thought he’d give his ex one more chance to reconcile which he doesn’t really want cause his ex isn’t a good boyfriend or person. But when they get to the cabin, there is a bad surprise waiting and then comes Streeter. Quite the dramatics when Streeter shows up. And while he doesn’t plan on leaving any witnesses behind, his little hummingbird convinces him to leave him alive for now. They then spend their snowed in time with a lot of steamy scenes that Remi has always wanted to try from books. There’s some humor, lots of steam and sexy times. This book really is an instalove, instalust, fast burn, high spice, low plot, unaliving and psychopath romance. It was an entertaining festive read for right after Thanksgiving.
okay, this one is my FAVORITE in this little series so far. i was legit OBSESSED with Streeter and Remi.
Remi was baby boy. Anxious, traumatized, and so sad. that poor sweet baby.
Streeter was SO fun. and hot as FUCK. good lord, i felt things because he was so nonchalant about EVERYTHING but watching him fall for his hummingbird was amazing.
i honestly could read soooooo much more because these two were so sweet and hot. i mean, HOT. the passion was 🤌🏻🥵
Oh this fun little smutty surprisingly sweet serial killer romance.
- no third act breakup - one exceedingly brief and ultimately cute miscommunication - all the smutty and sweet sex. Full consent - no virgins - No OM - Violence/murder; attempted assault (not between MCs) - Dual POV; HEA
Streeter and Remington (Hummingbird) are super cute together. Embrace the insanity and enjoy. 😊

Streeter & Remington ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶
Psych0path / Soft Boy Only One Fireplace Stabby over Christmas songs Fast burn / High heat Heads will roll (literally) Trapped with a psychopath (he likes it)
Who knew a spicy m2rder novella could be so sweet?
Streeter an unhinged psych0 saves the day for sweet tender Remi. These two were fire together.
Remi, just got out of an abusive relationship, thanks to Streeter lol.
Now snowed in, these two find spicy ways to pass the time. Sweet Remi has never really had meaningful intimacy. Streeter was so hot, what a filthy mouth he had. He was so sweet to Remi.
I think these two together were perfect. The way Streeter helped him with his panic attack was so great.
A perfect example of soft only for you.
A perfect novella filled with super hot spice, unhinged mayhem, and sweet tenderness.
Get a little bit of Christmasy, a little gore and whole love of love. I’m so glad Streeter saved Remi because my poor Remi didn’t deserve any of that. But if you want a fast paced, some murder & falling in love this is definitely your book for you. I hope Quill & Camden get a book!
Another one I read on a flight. This is very insta-lust slash sort of fated mated coded (in a good way IMO) ... The chemistry between the MCs was definitely there and the snowed in marathon sex scenes were hot. I am here for it.
There is attempted SA.... that never actually happens bc the MC comes and kills them all. As he should. Not gonna be mad bc an attempted rap*st got an axe to the face 🤷♂️

🎄☠️Did you seriously confess feelings for a murderer?🩸❄️
"The man who broke in was like some kind of avenging angel with tousled blond hair and his high cheekbones splattered with blood. Horrifying."
"I'm going to ruin you for anyone else, Hummingbird. By the time I'm through, there won't be an ever again."
"Angel. Devil. I really don't know, but I'm almost positive I signed my soul over to him either way."
"No, Remi. I'm not going to kill you. I'm gonna do something worse. I'm gonna make you love me."
"You're never going to get rid of me now. I'll chase you if you try to run, and I'll kill anyone who tries to get in my way."
"Definitely, definitely something is wrong with me, because the low hear burning in my stomach isn't fear. The tremble that runs through my body isn't fear. I'm practically metling into him."
"It's strange to realize that the first person to who actually sees me, lets me just be myself, and seems genuinely interested when I'm excited is....a killer."
"Are you afraid? Does the fear make your d*** hard? Make your h*** flutter, wanting a killer inside you?"
This was such an amazing dark Christmas spicy story. This was on the shorter side and read pretty quick but so darkly delicious. This story also had a lot of great humor and inner monologue. I was cackling so loud at the anger tword the Mariah Carey All I want for Christmas song 🤣🤣🤣🤣. That had me dying. The spice and insta lust in this was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. This writer duo is always on point and on fire. I love everything they have written together and alone.
This story follows Streeter and Remi. Streeter runs into Remi and his abusive boyfriend Trevor when he's working. Trevor is an absolute disgusting douche who has words with Streeter. This sets off Streeter, who then decides to hunt them and off them after he hears that Mariah Carey song 🤣🤣. Streeter finds them and doesn't expect the horror taking place that does. Will Remi survive Streeter? Can Streeter feel anything other than when he kills? This snowed in holiday is about to get very bloody.
I loved Remi and Streeter so much. Remi was such an adorable, sweet, kinky, and loving guy. He was so polite too. Streeter was a ruthless killer and got angry and pissed off fast. Until he meets his sweet Hummingbird. These two had an insta connection and their chemistry was holy moly hotness 🔥🔥🔥🔥. The spice was chef's kiss. So filthy and dirty 🥵🥵. I love how protective, patient, and attentive Streeter was to Remi. Despite Streeter being a killer, Remi saw him, understood him, and fell hard. My heart broke for all Remi endured by Trevor and his friends 😔😭. Glad they got theirs 😈🪓🩸. I loved Cam and Quill. Hope we get a story for those two. I highly recommend this dark Christmas treat 🎄🎁☃️❄️☠️😈🩸🪓
Here's RS McKenzie and Lee McCormick's "Murder Under the Mistletoe." It's part of the multi-author series The Naughty List.

This book was quick and messy and dangerous and sweet as fuck. It was one nightmare after another after another, holding onto hope that you'll survive, only to fall in love on the way. It was awesome.
Dark and twisty and sassy and fluffy. Lots of possession, lots of marking, lots of dirty talk and declarations (naughty and nice ones).
Trigger Warnings: domestic abuse, emotional and physical abuse, attempted sexual assault, self-deprecating thoughts/self-worth issues, on-page anxiety attacks, violence, maiming, stabby stabbing, hiding bodies, and more.
So I've read books by these authors separately and loved them but I'm feral for this book written by both of them. Who knew a killer who Remi watched unalive his ex boyfriend and his hateful friends who plotted something sinister for Remi in a cabin in what's close to be a snow storm. Good thing Streeter is already on the unhinged side and that Remi's jerk of an ex and a badly timed Mariah Carey song (which also gets on my nerves) brought Streeter hunting down the guy who made his blood lust that he's kept in for awhile spill over or else who knows what terrible fate Remi would have been subjected to. Now Remi is the only one left alive and he's ready to do whatever it takes to live even giving his body to Streeter willingly and keeping him warm through the snowstorm that hits and causes them to be trapped in the cabin . Except who knew a guy who unalives people can be so much sweeter and more caring and attentive than Remi's abusive ex ever was? Streeter showed Remi respect, care, a listening ear and more pleasure than he ever felt before. An avenging angel he should be scared of but isn't. He should be focusing on staying alive but honestly with how he comes to feel for Streeter he's resigned to whatever fate Streeter sees fit as long as he can make the most of his time with him. Streeter wants to keep Remi. His Hummingbird. Remi sees him and not just what he watched him do. He wants to protect Remi as he's innocent and deserves so much better that he's got and Streeter makes it his mission to make sure his Hummingbird is happy, safe, loved and free. This was such a great spicy dark holiday romance and makes me excited to see what the other multi author series has in store.
"I’m a serial killer. It’ll take a lot to get rid of me."
Murder Under the Mistletoe is exactly what happens when you take a cozy Christmas cabin trope and drench it in blood and gasoline. It is unhinged, violent, surprisingly sweet, and incredibly hot.
The Plot:Streeter is a local serial killer trying to live a quiet life (and escape Mariah Carey’s Christmas anthem). Remi is a sweet, anxious librarian ("Hummingbird") dragged to a remote cabin by his abusive ex. When Streeter realizes what the ex and his friends are planning, he unleashes absolute chaos.
What I loved:The Duality: Streeter is terrifying to everyone else, but he melts for Remi instantly. The juxtaposition of him beheading someone with an axe and then tenderly washing the blood off Remi in the shower? It’s the ultimate dark romance fantasy.
Remi: He isn’t just a damsel in distress; he’s a survivor. Seeing him find his voice and realize that he enjoys Streeter’s darkness (and possessiveness) was a great character arc.
The Humor: The banter is top-notch. Streeter’s inner monologue about his hatred for Christmas music while slaughtering people had me laughing out loud. And the arrival of Quill and Camden in the third act added the perfect chaotic energy to wrap up the plot.
The Spice: The chemistry is immediate (insta-lust/love done right). The scenes are intense, focusing heavily on praise kink and caretaking, which fits their dynamic perfectly.
Final Verdict:This is a quick, high-heat read perfect for the holidays if you're tired of sweet, fluffy romances. It’s a love letter to vengeance and finding your soulmate in the most unlikely (and bloody) circumstances.
Check your trigger warnings, as this book contains graphic violence and past domestic abuse.

Murder Under the Mistletoe is part of the Naughty List multi-author series. This one is by the Lovelee Misfits, Lee McCormick and RS McKenzie. This dark romance is high heat with a quick burn. It’s got a psychopath with a love of pop divas and a soft hearted mess of a boy. The story has insta-lust, trapped in a snowstorm, and of course, murder.
Remi is the sweetest. A precious darling who should be protected. He’s traveled with his ex to a cabin in the mountain for a supposed apology, though it ends up the furthest thing from it. Read your trigger warnings, folks. But, just when Remi loses hope, Streeter crashes into his life.
Streeter is trying to be good. He moved to a small town. He works and keeps his head down. But he has zero tolerance for anything that annoys him. And Trevor really annoyed him. When the last thing holding him back snaps, Streeter finds himself crashing a cabin party and finding more than he expected.
The story is mainly focused on the couple in the cabin — their escapades while snowed in and the aftermath of the murder. There is a bit of action at the beginning, but then it moves into focusing on them as characters. Now, I loved these characters. Streeter is a bit cuckoo but in the best way — a little unhinged, chaotic, full of attitude. The way he takes control, the way he helps Remi through his panic attacks, the way he knows when to be gentle and when to be possessive…he’s the perfect dark romance book boyfriend. Remi is adorable and resilient and the perfect counterpart to Streeter. Their chemistry is off the charts. The spice is plentiful. Kudos to these authors.
Now, I really want Quill’s story. Please and thank you.
