Play The Last Track

Rate this book
Play the Last Track is a contemporary sports romance, and book two in the Boston Broncos duet. It has everything you a golden retriever NFL player who is obsessed with the gorgeous bartender who hates him, fake dating, forced proximity, swoony acts of service, and spice that will have you fanning yourself. Pick it up for the tropes, stay for the slow-burning romance between Katie and Flynn, as they navigate unruly exes, overbearing parents, unimpressed managers, and their two best friends, who are sickeningly in love.

Blurb Katie Murphy
I’ve been keeping a lot of secrets lately. For example, my ex is kind of stalking me, I post on an anonymous YouTube channel that keeps going viral, and I once spent an unforgettable night with Boston Broncos tight end, Flynn Reed. A night I have been trying to forget ever since.
But he makes it difficult when he gets himself in a bar fight outside my bar and then asks me to be his fake girlfriend to fix it.
Now, I’m moving in, and the decisions I’ve been putting off making are being made for me.

Flynn Reed
It was a wrong place, wrong time scenario. I lost my cool, I broke a guy’s nose, and it just happened to be caught on camera. My contract’s up, and the team is starting to think that I’m a liability. My manager’s solution? A fake relationship.
Ivy’s suggestion? Katie Murphy.
The girl I haven’t been able to get out of my head since we spent one incredible night together in Italy over the summer. What starts as a simple PR stunt quickly spirals into something I can’t control, and I don’t think I want to.

This one was so good. I love Flynn and Katie. It may have started fake but it never truly was. The chemistry was good and it was well written.

Aussie authors are killing it right now, and this book is no exception!

It was such a fun read! Flynn, in hot water with the press, goes for a fake relationship with Katie, his fiery one night stand. The chemistry between them is seriously electric as she moves in with him to sell the story.

Flynn is the ultimate book boyfriend; sweet and totally in tune with Katie, who is super relatable and strong. The friendships added depth, and I loved the wrap up!

Fast paced but never rushed, and those cameos from Ivy and Scott were a nice touch. I just wish the epilogue had a little more, but I’m thrilled Katie got her happy ending. She deserves it! 💖

Flynn Reed, okay I see you! Wow I loved this man and couldn’t get enough.

I always enjoy Olivia’s writing and I thought this was an incredible continuation of the Boston Broncos series.

I loved everything about Katie and Flynn and fell for them both straight away. This was fast paced but still flowed amazingly without feeling rushed at all, I was completely hooked. Such relatable and loveable characters. I highly recommend to anyone especially other sports romance girlies, you need this series in your life.

I highly recommend anything Olivia writes.

Thank you so much to Olivia and Love Notes PR for the arc 😍

Thank you to the author and lovenotes pr for the arc!

so so cute 😭 flynn, the man that you are. he’s so attentive and so obsessed with Katie it was SO CUTEEEEEEEE

the book’s pacing was also nice and fast but there were some chunks that I wish were developed more? Like that shithead grant slapping Katie?? Why did we brush over that so fast? And then there was barely any mention of Flynn’s parents 👩‍🦯

This was my first book by Olivia Fenwick, and it was such a fun and easy sports romance to get into. If you love fake dating, close proximity, and a golden retriever-type MMC paired with a sassy FMC, this one’s for you.

Katie and Flynn’s story starts with a holiday fling in Italy that was supposed to be a one time thing — until Flynn, a football player trying to fix his image, suddenly needs a fake girlfriend. And who better than Katie? The setup alone had me hooked, and their chemistry just kept getting better from there.
Flynn was charming and persistent in the best way, and Katie’s mix of strength and sarcasm made their back-and-forth so fun to read. Their connection felt genuine, and the tension between them was chef’s kiss.

I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait to go back and read Scott and Ivy’s story next!

Thank you to Love Notes PR and Olivia Fenwick for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Love Notes for the ARC of this book!
Weirdly I haven’t read the first so I was worried I would be lost, but I think there was only tiny parts that felt lost on me and I’m sad that I didn’t get the whole story for ivy and Scott but that aside…
I LOVE FLYNN!!!
Flynn and Katie were adorable, fake dating is starting to become a favourite trope of mine and this was done so well. It was fast paced with lots of flirting, and different story points. I was entertained the whole time. I wasn’t expecting everything that happened at the end, but I was so happy with how it all worked out <3

I was fortunate enough to be chosen for this ARC. I’ve only began dabbling in the sports romance genre and this book didn’t disappoint. Flynn and Katie were so great for each other. The spice also didn’t disappoint 🌶️ 😉

Thankful for the chance to be an ARC for this book!

I loved Katie and Flynn!

I think Olivia did a great job setting them up for success! Flynn’s Golden Retriever energy is everything and I’m always grateful for a book without a third act breakup! I think this story had so much potential to be longer with more details surrounding his family, Grant, and Fall/Christmas since parts of the story l were around that time frame! I can’t wait to read more about these Broncos though!

4.5 for my man Flynn Reed!

An excellent follow up after Play The Last Card from Olivia Fenwick.

I couldn't wait for Katie and Flynn's book and it was definitely worth the wait. The pacing was great, the banter delicious and that 'are we fake, yes, no' tension was soooooo good!

When playboy Flynn Reed needs to reshape his reputation in the media, a steady reliable relationship is the only answer. Cue in Katie, however after one night together months before, Katie doesn't want anything to do with Flynn.

Flynn takes book boyfriend to the next level. He heals Katie in ways she didnt know she needed. And that POS Grant, was even worse than what I imagined. Yuk.

I only wanted more from the epilogue, Katie is my girl and I'm glad she gets her HEA.

Will always come back for more from Liv Fenwick.

What's to love:
Fake dating
Friends with bennies
Forced proximity
Golden Retriever energy

ARC provided by LoveNotes PR in exchange for honest review.

Play The Last Track is the fake dating story of Katie, sometime teacher but mainly manager of her parents' bar, and Flynn, tight end for the Boston Broncos. After a one week fling in Italy, Katie gave Flynn the cold shoulder, and he is desperate to find out why. When he punches a man who disrespects Katie at the bar, he's ordered to clean up his image by the team, and that includes fake dating. When Katie is suggested by her best friend, Flynn can't resist getting closer to her. But Katie has strict rules for this arrangement. Can they even be friends, let alone everything that Flynn wants?

This is a gorgeous, heartwarmer of a novel that leaves you smiling at almost every turn, even when the circumstances couldn't seem any worse. Katie is headstrong, having reached a crossroads in her life, and is fighting to have her wishes heard and respected when it comes to her career and aspirations. Her last relationship ended terribly, and a misunderstanding nipped things in the bud with Flynn before they got started, so she's naturally very reluctant to get into anything serious. But her walls aren't impenetrable, and they slowly but surely crumble under Flynn's efforts to break through. I loved that she was a talented secret singer, but didn't have the desire for fame - she wanted to continue her YouTube channel and introduce open mic at the family bar - and she got exactly that. So often you encounter fame hungry monsters, so it was refreshing to see the opposite in Katie. I also loved the epilogue, teaching her that communication is still important, even years down the line.

Flynn is flat out adorable. He is a total golden retriever, who adores Katie from the moment he sits next to her on the Italy flight. He is determined to break through her "rules" and get her to realise he worships the ground she walks on. His football game improves considerably when they start to move out of the friend zone, and to see them both achieve their goals is a fantastic end for the novel, although his is obviously tempered by sadness. He handles that very well, and it's lovely to see that he has found his feet again in the epilogue.

This book is gentle and full of heart, with characters that are easy to love and that you root for at all times. The fake dating trope plays out beautifully and the final admission of love brings a gorgeous amount of joy to what is a traumatic moment. My only criticism is the lack of football content - I love a sports romance, but I feel like it needs to have more sports content to be a true sports romance.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to review this book!

Fake Dating, Real Touchdowns

Katie (FMC): Bar Manager • Substitute Teacher • Musician • Fluent in Sarcasm • Looking for Direction • Loves Home Renovation Shows •

🏈 Football Romance
🍻 Forced Proximity
🏈 Down Bad MMC
🍻 FWB
🏈 ONS x (fake) Dating x HEA
🍻 Found Family

Rating: 🎤🎤🎤.🎶 (3.5⭐️)
Spice: 🌶️🫑🫑(dirty talk, praise, 👅, public play)
T/W: fighting (on page), infidelity (not MCs, referenced), toxic parental relationships (referenced), DV (referenced), pejorative word about women (on page), intoxication (on page)

What starts as a one night fling in Italy turns into the ultimate fake dating playbook. Katie Murphy’s got enough on her plate with an ex who won’t take a hint, a viral anonymous YouTube channel, and the kind of trust issues that would bench anyone. But when Boston Broncos tight end Flynn Reed throws himself into a bar fight and his PR team decides a fake girlfriend will fix his image, guess who’s drafted? The girl he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about since that unforgettable summer night.

Flynn Reed is protective, patient, and so in love with Katie it hurts. He doesn’t just want to save his reputation; he wants to heal her heart. His golden retriever energy balances Katie’s guarded fire perfectly, and watching him quietly rebuild her trust feels like a slow, steady climb toward the end zone. The banter snaps, the tension simmers, and the “fake” label doesn’t stand a chance against their chemistry.

Sure, I wish Katie’s trauma got the deeper spotlight it deserved, but the emotional beats still land hard. Olivia Fenwick nails that perfect blend of humor, heart, and heat. The pacing keeps you hooked, the found family moments hit all the right notes, and Flynn cements his place as top tier book boyfriend material. “Play the Last Track” is a fake dating win with heart, heat, and the kind of golden boy who makes you believe love really can rewrite the play.

I received an ARC copy and wanted to leave an honest review.

Play The Last Track 💅🏻

Firstly,I want to thank LoveNotes PR & Olivia Fenwick for providing me this ARC!💛

Katie has a ton going on:a stalker ex,an anonymus YT channel & on top of that her,now fake boyfriend,Flyyn Reed.
Flyyn messed up,being in the wrong place the wrong time led him in need for a fake relationship in order to fix his public figure. The only problem? The woman he is about to pretend dating is the one he cannot possibly get out of his head.

Starting, this book is the perfect fake dating romance. It has that passion, the slow burn & the hot characters in.
Our protagonist,Katie,is THE woman.Being talented, lovely & passionate about everything she does is just a tiny bit of what you will see from her.My girl is not interested to hid her feelings,so we see them A LOT during the story, with that making the best opening to the romance that you are about to experience.
Flynn, our other main character,is low-key a golden retriever with his character having so much depth.
You will see a determined man,who is not afraid to feel & constantly shows it.Apart from the romance, there were some really deep scenes with him, which makes you understand him more as an indivitual, something that I personally loved !🥹
Speaking for romance,we had a slow-burn,which was filled with flames. Those two erupted together, while through the continuation of the story, we see them having such a deep connection.
More,I want to point out that this book had THE PERFECT PACING.I cannot describe it otherwise.Really.
Every scene had the exact time it needed, without overanalyzing or tiring the reader at all.-god I have missed that.

Wrapping it up,if you love sports, people falling in love & unforgettable stories,Play The Last Track is the perfect addition to your tbr🤌🏻

📚✨ ARC REVIEW ✨📚
Play the Last Track by Olivia Fenwick
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5 stars)

Thank you, @lovenotes.pr, for a free ARC!

Katie is juggling more secrets than she can handle: an ex who won’t leave her alone, a viral anonymous YouTube channel, and the memory of one unforgettable night with NFL tight end Flynn.

When Flynn gets caught in a bar fight outside her workplace, he asks Katie to be his fake girlfriend to help clean up his image. Soon, she’s moving in with him and forgetting all the reasons she “hates” him.

For Flynn, the PR stunt is supposed to save his career, but spending time with the woman he’s never stopped thinking about makes pretending feel all too real. He’s determined to win Katie over, even if he doesn’t understand why she turned him away after their night together.

This book is the perfect blend of romance, swoony moments, and angst. I really connected with Katie—her insecurities and isolation in her past relationship were heartbreakingly realistic. Fenwick wrote her journey with such care and empathy, and it truly resonated.

And Flynn? A total dream. Tall, handsome, an extrovert in the streets/introvert in the sheets (home doesn't rhyme), and absolutely determined to prove that he and Katie belong together. Their chemistry was undeniable, and their banter had me grinning like a fool.

Oh my god, Play the Last Track absolutely wrecked me in the best way possible. I devoured this book in one sitting — I couldn’t put it down even if I tried. Olivia Fenwick seriously outdid herself with this one. It’s got everything: the golden retriever NFL player who’s head over heels from page one, the fiery bartender who wants nothing to do with him (except maybe she does), fake dating, forced proximity, and enough tension to light a stadium on fire.

Flynn Reed is just… ugh. The perfect mix of cocky, soft, and obsessed. Every single thing he did for Katie had me melting — the acts of service, the way he looked at her, how much he respected her even when she tried to push him away. And Katie? She’s the definition of strong and real. I loved how complicated she was, how she tried so hard to hold herself together even when her world was spinning.

The chemistry between them?? Unreal. That slow burn turned into the most delicious, emotional, swoony romance that had me grinning like an idiot one minute and clutching my chest the next. And the spice? Let’s just say… Olivia Fenwick knows what she’s doing.

The side characters were perfection (Ivy and Scott being disgustingly cute), the banter was sharp and addictive, and the emotional beats hit so hard. By the end, I was smiling through tears, completely gone for these two.

If you love fake dating, forced proximity, and a golden retriever boy who loves out loud — read this. I’m obsessed. I need more Boston Broncos, like, yesterday

Title: Play the Last Track
Author: Olivia Fenwick
Genre: Sports Romance
Release Date: October 23, 2025
Rating: 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice Level: 2/5 🌶️🌶️

This book!! Just from the start of reading “Play the Last Track”, I knew it would be good and throughout it, it stayed consistently amazing! This is the second book of the series, but this is the first book I’ve read from this author and I now know I need to read more!

I knew this would be a great book because the way the words are written are so eloquent. It just flows naturally and is easy to visualize because the use of language is so strong. For a slow burn, the pacing was right on point. I was drawn into the story right away and the fact that there’s history involved as well made me want to know what happened before and how it will go after. It’s refreshing to see that the main characters are opposites in nature. Usually the guy is the negative one and the girl is positive, but for this it’s the other way around. But they’re brought together so well and it’s a thrill to see how it happens because of the twists.

My only complaint, while not big, is that it was too short! In the grand scheme of things, that’s a good complaint to have because I really enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a slow burn, fake dating, sports romance, this is the one!

I received an ARC (Advanced Readers Copy) in exchange for an honest review. These thoughts are entirely my own! Thank you to Olivia Fenwick and Love Notes PR for choosing me to receive an early copy! (:

Book 2 in the Boston Broncos series. Can be read as a standalone.

🌶🌶

If you love:
🏈 Sports romance
💕 Fake dating
🛏 Close proximity
🐕 Golden retriever MMC
😏 Sassy/snarky FMC
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Found family

What happens in Italy...stays in Italy?  Play the Last Track starts with Katie and Flynn joining their best friends on holiday in Italy. After crushing hard, they hook up and its over as quickly as it began.
Fast forward a few months later and football star, Flynn, is in trouble with his team on a contract resigning year and he needs to play the part of a wholesome and dependable person.  And this is where Katie saves the day by agreeing (grudgingly) to be Flynn's fake girlfriend throughout the season.

Flynn Reed is MMC perfection 👌  I loved how determined he was to break down Katie's walls, and how much he loved her.  Katie Murphy, carrying around the scars from her recent breakup, is stubborn and sassy - the perfect balance to Flynn's golden retriever energy.  Their chemistry is 🔥 and the scene at the Thanksgiving ball had me sweating 🥵

I really enjoyed this book, and just purchased Play the Last Card (book 1 in the series) so that I can go back and read Scott and Ivy's story.

Thank you to Olivia and Love Notes PR for the advanced reader copy. All thoughts are my own.

The announcement of this book caught my eye and I wanted to read it. I'm new to this author's work and I've been looking forward to this one. I got right into the Boston Broncos world. I enjoyed this story so much!

Katie and Flynn's journey pulled me in! Flynn is a professional football player on the Boston Broncos. Katie is a bar manager and an anonymous youtuber. They spent a night together in Italy that's stayed with both of them. After a Flynn gets into a fight he's looking for a fake girlfriend and Katie is just who he needs. Will Katie and Flynn fake it and then go back to the way things were before? or could they capture each other's hearts in the process?

Flynn and Katie' story had my full attention right from the very get go! I really liked how they'd had a night together and being brought closer again through fake dating. From Italy, things thrown their way, personal stuff, everything football, the bar, and youtube, fake dating, and every feeling between them, I couldn't wait to see how they'd tackle it all!

I so enjoyed Katie and Flynn's back and forth! I really got Katie, especially as she was figuring out things in her life. I loved that Flynn had her feeling a lot. Flynn had me falling! I adored how he was with Katie. I found both Flynn and Katie to be so real throughout. I so enjoyed the fake dating between them and how it ignited so much more between the two of them and their hearts. Flynn and Katie brought many feels!

It was so fun to be in the Boston Broncos world for the first time!

With Play The Last Track, Ms.Fenwick has created such a good page turner of a fake dating romance that brought bar manager/anonymous youtuber x football player, realness and spice, and many feels! I'm so looking forward to picking up more of this author's work, especially the first Boston Broncos book! 🏈💛🍺

Check out the author's content warning.

Oh Flynn!!!

I totally enjoyed this book! I loved Flynn and Katie ever since I met them in Scott and Ivy’s book. I think I remember Katie saying she had a crush on Flynn. Flynn on the other hand, flirts with Katie nonstop. Their chemistry was good in the first book and I was so happy when her relationship with Grant *finally* ended. 🤭

Their misunderstanding could’ve vern avoided if only Katie hadn’t been stubborn and didn’t assume but I think everything just stemmed from Katie’s past relationship. She kind of just assumed the worst without asking Flynn a chance to know his side of the story. Good thing the bar fight happened and Flynn got in too trouble for it. I kind of wish Katie knew why Flynn started the fight tho. I think that may have helped thaw her heart towards Flynn a little. I love how Flynn was so protective of Katie. 😮‍💨
I am so glad Ivy was able to convince Katie to play be the fake girlfriend. I didn’t think Katie stood a chance not forgiving Flynn. He was so determined to rekindle their friendship even tho he wanted more. He has been very patient with her and so understanding. He always put Katie first, something Katie wasn’t used to. It was just so beautiful to read about their story. How they started as kind of friends, to enemies, to being friends again and finally becoming lovers. I just loved every moment of them together. 😮‍💨

I love indulging in a football romance once in a while, and this was so cute! I love a fake dating trope, it’s very cute and there’s some tension but it tends to be a little predictable. They fake date for convenience swearing not to fall in love , but fake date really quickly do and suddenly there’s that tension that comes from the character with commitment issues not wanting to make it last. So I was actually really glad that this book surprised me in a really good way, and by that I mean there’s no third act break up! Which honestly is just in every fake dating romance nowadays. I loved how they kind of already had a history, with their one night stand and he has been whipped since. And honestly I found her kind of “plot twist” or climax point genius, it was funny but sad and it gave both characters so much room to shine and to grow more. They give prime black cat fmc x golden retriever mmc energy! She’s the sassy bartender and he’s the best friend of her best friend’s brothers. Which does sound very confusing. But I promise it’ll make sense, and there’s nothing like a wedding and a Pr crisis to bring two people together. This book such a fun and cute sports romance read, that and me crying at a few points. It was really well paced and had me hooked until the end. I give this a 5/5

Olivia Fenwick brings Katie and Flynn back with all the tenderness, chaos, and real-life choices that come after a happy ending. Play the Last Track isn’t just about romance it’s about finding rhythm again when life forces you to change tempo. Watching them juggle career shifts, unspoken fears, and that familiar spark was both emotional and comforting.

What I loved most was how grounded it felt. Katie’s quiet strength and Flynn’s drive balance each other perfectly, and their conversations, sometimes sweet, sometimes raw shows just how messy love can be when ambition is part of the story. The career angle adds depth; it’s not just hearts and kisses, it’s about purpose and identity too.

The writing flows with that warm, character-first energy I’ve come to expect from Fenwick. The chemistry is intense without being over-the-top, and the emotional beats are beautifully earned. There’s a rhythm in their relationship the highs, the hesitations, the small moments that say more than the big ones.

If you’ve followed the Boston Broncos world, this book feels like closure wrapped in new beginnings. It’s heartfelt, grown-up, and surprisingly soothing. Play The Last Track left me smiling, a little teary, and fully convinced that sometimes the best tracks aren’t the loudest they’re the ones that linger long after the music stops.

THANK YOU Olivia Fenwick and Love Notes PR for this ARC!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Play the Last Track is the kind of sports romance that sneaks up on you with its charm. It’s the second book in the Boston Broncos duet, and while it delivers plenty of familiar tropes—fake dating, forced proximity, and an NFL player who gives full “golden retriever energy”—it manages to keep things feeling fresh and emotionally grounded.

Flynn Reed is all heart beneath his fame and bad press, and Katie Murphy is a stubborn, relatable heroine trying to juggle too many secrets. Their chemistry feels instant yet layered; the tension between them simmers beautifully as they navigate old wounds, viral chaos, and meddling friends. Fenwick does a great job balancing the humor and the heavier emotional beats.

Where the book loses a star for me is pacing—some mid-story scenes felt stretched out, and a few conflicts wrapped up a bit too neatly. Still, the banter, the slow-burn payoff, and the acts of service from Flynn make it a standout in the genre.

If you like your romances spicy, emotional, and full of heart, Play the Last Track will hit the right notes. It’s a feel-good read that reminds you why fake dating tropes never really get old.

Ever since Flynn and Katie met the sparks have been flying leading up to one night together during their holidays with friends in Italy. But the next day Katie flipped a switch and ignored Flynn. Back home Flynn is still trying to figure out what went wrong with Katie when he ends up in a bar brawl. Not a good image for him in a contract year. To show his team that he is not a hothead but in a stable relationship a fake one has to make do. And who would be a better fake girlfriend than Katie? Right: no one. So Flynn is set on using his chance to get Katie to see that they can be more than fake. But Katie has been keeping some secrets.

Play The Last Track is book 2 in the Boston Broncos series by Olivia Fenwick. It’s a standalone in this interconnected series and can be read independently.

Football romance meets fake dating - count me in. As soon as I read the blurb I knew I had to read it and Play The Last Track did not disappoint. It’s a smooth and easy read and I just flew through the pages. The love story is amazing because you can instantly feel the sparks between those two right from page one. The banter between Katie and Flynn is great and I loved loved loved how their relationship turns from fake to real with all the feelings involved. There’s also quite the suspense with Katies secrets and the question: why did Katie suddenly dislike Flynn after their night in Italy. It’s an amazing combination and I really enjoyed how the focus is not only on their relationship but also on their development throughout the story. I didn’t expect the part before the ending and it put me on a rollercoaster of emotions but it gave the story a nice twist I wasn’t expecting.

Since a couple of weeks I’m very into sport romances. In ‘Play the last track’ Olivia takes you to Boston and their NFL team the Boston Broncos. This name only made me imagine some big men full of muscles!😍

Flynn is one of those and after an incident at the bar of Katie, he has to behave according to his manager. The only way to do this and make the people believe that he isn’t violent, is to have a fake relationship (to look steady). He already knows Katie (they had a one nightstand a couple of months ago), but they aren’t on speaking terms… But she’s still on his mind and he can only think of her when talking about the fake relationship.

This trope is one of the best you can find in a book, to my opinion. As a reader you already know from the beginning it can end bad, but they always end up together. But I like this predictability. The sexual tension between Flynn and Katie is so powerful that you flip every page to read on!

There is another book in this series, and I already put it on my tbr! I didn’t know the author, but now it’s on my list of authors I want to read more of.

So this read I was a bit nervous because even though it says you don't need to read the first book that they're standalones was a bit nervous because quite a bit of book shows the couple from book one. This book is technically a second chance Romance. It isn't made to be a second chance. Romance, it's not stated by the author that it is a second chance romance, but that's exactly what it is. It is a second chance Romance. He doesn't understand where he went wrong and he's got to figure that out. All well. They are fake dating and she is trying to get over the trauma of a bad breakup. So the real question is will this fake relationship turn into more. Will she forgive him? Will he finally figure out why he needs to grovel? How long will it take? Honestly anyone's guess, but if you want a fluffy second Chance romance this book is definitely for you now. Would I read this book again? Definitely would I read book 1 definitely do you need to read book 1 to read this one? No, but I highly recommend that you read book one because it does have a lot about the couple in book 1.

Obsessed. Just every chapter — obsessed. Need I say more??

I eat up a fake dating trope every single time and this one did not disappoint. It had everything you could want in a swoony, fake dating romance.

✨ Flynn — HELLO?? Sign me up. Literally a 10/10 BookTok boyfriend. The way he knew when to step back and let Katie handle things, but also knew exactly when to step in? Perfect balance. He supported her without taking over and it made me fall for him even harder.

💔 Katie — my heart. I could cry for that sweet girl. I just wanted to hug her and never let go. She’s been through so much, and Flynn was exactly what she needed — even when she didn’t want to admit it. The way he supported her dreams and stood by her? I’m soft.

This book had me kicking my feet, squealing, and crying all in one sitting.

If you love fake dating + emotional healing + total boyfriend material MMCs… this one’s for you.

🤎 ARC Review 🤎 Play the Last Track by Olivia Fenwick

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to Love Notes PR and Olivia Fenwick for sending me the ARC of Play the Last Track this was such a great book.

I’m a sucker for a fake dating romance and this one didn’t disappoint. The connection between the two of them was so fun and playful and I really enjoyed watching them get to know each other more as the story progressed. The ‘are we fake or are we real’ tension was so good.

Watching Flynn help Katie move on from Grant (a real garbage human) and find her confidence and spark back was so lovely!

I know nothing about NFL but still enjoyed reading all the parts about the game/ practice.

The book includes:
🏈 NFL player
🍸 Fake Dating
🏈 Friends with Benefits
🍸 Close Proximity
🏈 Slow Burn

This is the second book of the series and follows Katie and Flynn 😍 If you read book one, Play the Last Card, you will love this one just as much!
