I have always loved writing but suffer from severe dyslexia and short-term memory retention issues. I struggled in school while I worked every night on re-training my brain.
I was frequently treated like I would never succeed, and I found myself putting my love for writing on a shelf.
Even at the age of six, I found it easier to communicate with animals than people, which was a big reason why I was drawn to dressage horseback riding. I remained focused on my passion for riding until I had to step away from the competition world for personal reasons.
Today, my desire for writing and storytelling has been rekindled. I have published multiple books and will never let anyone or anything hold me back again.
I am a proud romance author who offers my readers morally grey heroes, a ton of spice, epic journeys, and redemption stories.

Hunted by Them by Brooklyn Cross is a dark, reverse-harem retelling that takes the Goldilocks trope and turns it primal. Sage finds herself lost in the woods and in the sights of some very dark ‘characters’—no spoilers here—they blur the line between hunters and protectors, danger and desire.

This was the first book I’ve read written by Brooklyn and let me just say, it DEFINITELY won’t be the last!!!!

A hot and spicy novella with THREE tattooed masked men?!🤌🤌 one emotionally lost woman in the woods… use your imagination to fill in the gaps😏
I think this book was such a fun easy read. The spice was good and written well, the plot was cute and a nice break from the spice. Overall I enjoyed every second of reading this book.
If you’re wanting a spicy short easy read, this is definitely the book for you!😮💨

Ooooooo boy has Brooklyn given us a fast paced, spicy tension filled spooky season novella! Hunted by Them checks so many boxes. Masked men, three to be exact, primal play, stalking, revenge, captive x capture and lots more. Yes, all this in a novella. Sage needs a reset for her over regulated life and finds herself with an awakening of epic proportions. With raw primal emotions and a new level of self acceptance, she gets a new lease on life and lets her true self shine. No longer willing to take crap from anyone or be second choice she unleashes her new found strength. From their encounter with Sage, our sexy savage tattooed men have an emotional evolution of their own. Darkness, vulnerability, and morally grey choices with a deep level of passion that can’t be denied brings our characters together in a way that gives us an incredibly exciting read. Add this to your TBR for a fast whirlwind, spicalicious ride.

Oh I can assure you that there's very little sweet about Sweet Daisy 😏 ....
Sage's life is tense at the minute, scummy ex, hateful boss, disappointments, you get this jist. So she's taken herself off to a cabin in the woods but instead of a peaceful getaway to get her head straight, she ends up thinking she's losing her mind while literally running to escape the 3 masked men chasing her! It's not long until she's panting with excitement instead of fear - cue the drooling!!
Brooklyn has once again given us a story that will have you glued to your screen, a story that excites you, one with lots of steam and passion, with heros that shouldn't be heros, a heroine that you want to be besties with and of course, that feeling of bliss!
Once again, top marks!

Devoured.
I don't know what else I can say lol as soon as I saw Brooklyn posting about this I knew I had to get my hands on it. Men with bone masks, stalked through the woods, seeing someone get his karma? I didn't realize how quickly I read this until I was done and it left me wanting more lol I am so looking forward to book 2!! I loved all three of the guys, and that without knowing who was speaking, you knew who it was instantly, just from the way they spoke to our girl. I definitely need one of each lol Our girl Sage, I'm so glad she stood up for herself and took charge of what she wanted to do with her own life, along with getting rid of that shitty ex of hers.

I love how Sage goes from a people pleaser to getting fed up, taking back her life, and getting what SHE wants! All it takes is getting stuck in a storm and being taunted, chased, and trapped in a cave by 3 masked men that fill her every desire! I was shocked when they let her go, leaving her wondering if it was all a dream! But that's not where the story ended for the Buck, the Elk, The Caribou, and their Sweet Daisy! There's a lot packed in this spicy, why choose, novella! It was a fun, suspenseful read, and I highly recommend Hunted By Them!!

A smutty, spooky why choose novella, with lots of primal play and three wild masked men. Sign me up! I loved this book so much! It was a fun shortish novella but it had a great plot. She wandered into a cabin in the woods and gets lured into a trap set up by three masked strangers. Also in a sucker for animal skull bone masks! Ahhh so hot! There’s so much primal play, and it’s kind of a captive x captor situation but she’s sort of willingly captured I guess. There’s a little psychological element to it that I loved as well. She’s been controlled of her whole life by her mom’s expectations and these three guys break all the rules. She finally feels free and feels like she truly belongs somewhere, or is it because her brain is wonky from being fucked so hard she doesn’t even know what day it is? I love the guys too, they have their own little conflict, but Ryder is definitely my favourite. I just don’t really like how despite being a why choose Ryder is very pushed onto us. He gets his own POV, and he’s kind of the most obsessed and morally grey which automatically makes us dark romance girls like him more. I wish we got more of the other guys too. But don’t worry the smut is all inclusive and very very hot. I give this a 5/5

So this book was short, dark, and steamy. It had an air of mystery and mythology without being paranormal. I am excited for the next one!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Hunted by them....it is the perfect Why Choose for those readers who love that trope, and also super spicy!!!
Brooklyn Cross is a talented author, she writes with so much emotion, you can feel it as your reading. A little more than halfway through, something happens between Sage and the Men, and you can feel her emotions, her dread, her sadness, her fear, everything!!!
10/10 highly recommend and I can't wait for Book 2!

This was a fast read. It had a little more plot than I thought it would. Not what I usually read. To me Sage was unrealistic. The three “masked men” gave me the creeps and the fact that Sage wanted more from them was a wild concept to me. And then…the story takes a turn and I needed up liking the “masked men.”

*****Check your triggers. This one was pretty different from the writing style Brooklyn usually goes for but it was great and an interesting short read none the less. So basically we have our main female character Sage and she gets lost in the woods one day and three sexy men wearing masks made out of animal bones find her and take her to their cave to play with for days but then one of them starts becoming very possessive of her (Ryder) and says he wants to keep her with them. Dash tells him that prey must be let go and they can’t take the risk out of fear of her going to the police and reporting them if she’s sees their face. Well after their days of fun and debauchery in the cave she wakes back up in her car with a forest ranger letting her know how long she had been missing for and that people were looking for her. One of these people being her ex boyfriend who she caught cheating on her in the beginning of the book. At this point she goes back to her apartment in the city and back to her crappy job that she hates. Her ex Connor begs her to take him back but after what she experienced in those woods she’s feeling more confident knowing her self worth is more than Connor could ever give her so she turns him down and he doesn’t like that. She ends up telling her boss off and quitting the job she hated. Then one night one of her monster men (Ryder of course) breaks into her place to play with her some more because he’s obsessed and followed her home from the woods and has been watching her ever since. When he goes back to the woods and tells the guys she never told the police what really happened to her in those woods and tries to convince them that she’s theirs, Dash gets mad and once again and says she was prey and that’s it and the third guy Jaxon tells Ryder he’ll just go with the flow and agrees Ryder should keep pursuing her. One day Sage is missing them and goes back to the woods and Ryder talks to her with her not knowing who he really is, then when she gets back to her apt in the city her entire place is trashed and when she sees a picture of her and her ex ripped up only on her side of the photo she realizes who did it. The police aren’t helpful when she reports what Connor did since there’s no real proof and he denies it, but Sage and her men get their revenge at the end and she chooses to be with them and live with them in their cabin in the woods. Gets pregnant by them and lives happily ever after. Great book. Definitely would recommend to people who enjoy primal play!

The freedom of the forest makes her question her life, is she truly happy or just living through the motions? She gets caught in a storm but luckily makes it to an abandoned cabin where she can shelter whilst the storm rages away outside. Sage may feel safe from the storm, but that’s not the only predator outside the cabin. Sage soon learns she’s now the prey for another type of animal, and they all wear masks.
I loved the Cryptid lore side of this read, monsters hiding in the woods. Added that little bit of mystery during the read and gave it an edge.
I really enjoyed every second of this book. The chase. The spice. The masks. The obsession. The awakening and self acceptance. The raw sexual desire. Everything. I just loved it all.
This wasn’t just a sexy chase in the woods, this was a journey of self acceptance and emotional growth, on both parts. Sage ditched her autonomous life for the one she truly desired and it was beautiful to see her come into her own. That feminine rage was 🤌🏼💋 The hunters also go on an emotional journey of their own, one where it brings everyone together.

First book I have ever read by Brooklyn Cross and I am hooked.
Sage is unhappy with her life. Her ex boyfriend is a cheating dick who can't understand "leave me alone", she hate's her job because her boss is a woman who knows nothing but takes all the credit and puts Sage down every chance she gets, and her mother is overbearing and hovers over her whole life. So she goes out into the forest to get away from all of it and to hear absolute silence, but she's not the only person out there.
The Elk, the Caribou, and the Buck. Their lore or at least that's what the stories tell. When Sage finds herself taking shelter in an abandoned cabin during a torrential downpour, she should be scared but deep down she's intrigued. All 3 try to scare her but they just entice her more.
Sage finds herself interested when she should be scared, even when she ends up tied and blindfolded in their cave. For an entire week, she's at their mercy. And they end up letting her go before she can ask to stay.
When Sage goes back to her life, it's not what she wants. Things are so much crystal clear to her and she wants to do what Sage wants for once in her life. But with an ex that won't give up, she realizes that she must do things for herself. And when she ends up back in the forest she finds herself surrounded by her 3 men who are willing to protect her at all cost.
They chose her, she chose them and now there is no going back for anyone.

Brooklyn Cross has been an instant buy author for a minute now and that’s definitely not changing anytime soon!! I got this as an ARC and devoured it. I was so hooked I only put it down when I had too (𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐬, 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐡) If you haven’t read it yet maybe skip the next part it’s a summary but could be spoilery (𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝?)
Sage is a woman who is fed up with her life...judgmental mom, crappy job/boss, even crappier ex - boyfriend who takes to a hike in the woods to clear her mind (𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐨) when she gets caught in a storm and forced to take shelter in abandoned cabins she remembers from being a teen. She encounters 3 masked men who want to hunt her down and claim her as theirs. (𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬!!) She despite trying to talk herself out of it chooses to go with them(𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞) they chase her back to their cave where they vow, she will always remember them and never be fulfilled by another when she wakes up 7 days later in her car marked and forced back to her old life. (𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐠𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐲𝐲𝐲𝐲) (𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐲...𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲) She doesn’t stay in her old life, long when her ex breaks in and trashes her apartment(𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐞𝐱) Things get really intense and well let’s just say that “touch her and die” takes on a whole new meaning here.

Hunted by Them is a dark, addictive ride that perfectly blends danger, obsession, and raw chemistry. Brooklyn Cross wastes no time throwing the reader into a world of fear, tension, and temptation, where every page feels like a chase both literal and emotional.
The heroine is resilient and layered, walking the tightrope between survival and surrender. She’s fierce without being invincible, and her vulnerability gives the story real weight. The men who hunt her are brutal, magnetic, and thoroughly untrustworthy, yet you can’t help but want to see more of them. Each brings something different to the table whether it’s cold calculation, twisted protectiveness, or burning desire and their dynamic with her is nothing short of explosive.
The plot moves fast, with sharp turns and intense scenes that keep you hooked until the end. Cross balances the dark romance elements with enough emotional tension to make it hit deeper than you’d expect. I could not wait to sink my teeth into this beauty, so you best believe when I got my hands on it, I dived right in never putting it down until it was done. Like come on now, who would pass up three masked men, stalking you in the woods and having there wicked way with you!! Cause I sure wouldn't...
It's dark, gritty, steamy , unhinged and fucking delicious!!! And I was here for every single minute of it. You can tell each character apart from the other specially with the chaos they bring.
I instantly fell in love with these men and sage. It's filled with desire, danger, passion, obsession, emotions, spice, drama , action and so much more.
A retelling of Goldilocks with a twist. Definitely full of surprises. Specially heros that should not be the heros. But they are and it's glorious.
Fucking phenomenal read, definitely worth more than 5 stars. You need to add it to your TBR list. For sure. Highly recommend.

Umm yes please.... Give me one masked man with a forest chase and I'm all over it. But make it 3 masked men and a forest chase... absolute perfection. Now make it a spicy novella surrounding those 3 masked men... even better.

This might be one of my favourite masked men books I’ve read in a while.

I absolutely loved this story. The hunting, the mystery, the obsession, the spice and the incredible arc the FMC makes.
There is *nothing* better than an MC who makes an absolute transformation and changes the narrative of the story.

Short and to the point and I absolutely loved it!
A girl with a lot of courage going out in the woods without knowing if anything or anyone is out there that could harm her. She just didn't care, at this point she was fine with disappearing with the way her life was going. She had a cheating ex, a mother who never listened to her and a boss who was a Grade A witch, so what else could go wrong in her life at this moment!
While being in the woods she starts hearing things and at first she thinks it's her imagination, but it turns out that it's not. She encounters three masked men and she doesn't know if she should be shaking in her shoes or if she relieved to see these men, who do not show their identity.
It turns out that these shadow of men are more than what everyone thinks they are in the forest. Will she succumb to these masked men or go back to her boring life that she hates?
Loved that it was short and to the point. The author didn't sugarcoat it or anything. She got down to the nitty gritty with this one and these masked men were certainly to die for!
