Well, this book took me over a week to finish. Closer to two. Normally, I can read a book this size in a day and that’s working my job for 8.5 hours as well. The first one was So good! I got to enjoy it all over again, re reading it, l so I would be fully caught up for this book release. The first 35-40% of the book takes place in one night, they are at Damon and Angelo’s parents party. They have to face challenges, wade through sexual depravity in Lucas and Lola’s mansion, then when they finally make it outside, Rogue combines her guardian and halfblood magic with the guys to sense magic that’s hidden in the garden. It leads them to an academy of sorts. Human looking supes, training in their coliseum type thing before they leave, and finally make it to the parents meeting spot. There’s so much political, supernatural stuff going on in this night that, that Cassandra lost me a few times. Even re reading some of the sections still didn’t make sense. Mina, Rogues ex bestie shows up in the manor, taunting her like usual. They really don’t do anything to stop her taunts, jibes and threats. At this point, it’s getting annoying. Mina had her new roller derby crew beat the ever living crap out of her in the first book. The bullying just keeps getting worse and Rogue, Rebel, Damon, Angelo, Javi and Archer know she’s a little pissant but they don’t actually do anything to rebut them. Ugh. After everything the reader has to read, they just let her get away with everything. The rest of the book, is more suspicions on who is plotting against them. Which is, everyone. Then the end basically has Javi blowing everything up in a mad dash to get away from unseen foes. Rebel goes missing and everyone else is on the verge of dying. Throughout this all, their relationship with each other is starting to feel more normal. Rogue doesn’t even go back to her place, and they all dog pile into her bedroom. The only one who has steadfastly against completing the mating (sex) bond is her step brother. Rebel. Not sure why. He is hesitant… but his inner thoughts betray how much he wants Rogue. Reading all their point of views makes it easier to connect with the characters, which I prefer in a series. Honestly, if they talked through their suspicions without assuming everyone knows what they’re talking about from the beginning, I may have been able to connect more during the first night of the book. Cassandra usually Wows me with her books but this one was hard to follow at times.
Since discovering Cassandra Featherstone, I have come to learn that she writes amazing FMCs. So far every book of hers that I have read features a strong, independent, complex, and fierce FMC that I can’t help but fall for. And while all of this becomes evident quickly, she is able to write stories that span over numerous books that never become dull, feel repetitive, or lose their hook. This can be felt in book 2 of her Faetal Attraction series, Jammer in the Box.
Book 1 set the stage for our multiple characters and book 2 continues the amazing world building, enticing plotline, and never-ending supply of mates. This book also begins to cross over with other series that Cassandra has written and it was done exceptionally well. There is so much happening in this storyline, but Cassandra is masterful at keeping the storyline clear and able to follow. You have fae, shifters, and demons front and center in this book and while Rogue is trying to save someone she loves, she keeps getting pulled into chaos.
Due to Cassandra’s amazing story telling abilities, this story is perfectly paced. The action scenes are well balanced with scenes that provide depth and context to the story, while the romance is woven throughout, keeping us on our toes. And while Rogue is a woman able to take care of herself, she loves fighting side by side with her mates, showing time and time again how strong their bonds really are. As I have just started reading Cassandra’s books, I never know what to expect, but that seems consistent even with long time readers. And while she definitely gives us spice throughout the story, the plot is what drives the progression of the book. We get to know each character fully, no one taking the back seat to another. If you love authors who create wonderful worlds, characters who are deep and complex, while giving you non-stop action and romance, Cassandra is an author I highly recommend.
As always, review any author notes before reading.

Jammer in the Box is the second book in Cassandra Featherstone's Faetal Attraction series, and it was glorious!
I love that Rogue is doing better at letting the guys in while still being the bad fae that she is. Rogue flexes a little of her power in this one. I can't wait until she goes full power; I know it's going to be excellent. The guys are fantastic. It was Archer’s time to shine in this one. The lion is not only well adjusted but also a lot smarter than he seems. He reminds me of Lucas, the polar bear in the Secrets of State U series.
Rogue and the guys are at the Apalachin, and things did not go as expected, but do they ever? The demons certainly set a stage at this shindig. Be prepared—it's all debauchery and darkness, but in the worst ways. Of course, the twins' parents show their butts again, but they've been up to something. I was a little shocked by everything. A bigger piece of the puzzle has been revealed, along with a huge easter egg. I have theories, and I'm dying to know if I'm right.
As usual, the pages flew by with epic battles, great romance, snark, humor, and great pop culture references. My favorite scene was the big meetup between Rogue and her guys and the Discordia group. I love how connected this universe is. It's unique and opens up each story to something bigger. Cass took me by surprise with a cliffhanger that left me on edge. I need things fixed sooner rather than later. I'm hoping the bonus scene will help relieve some of that pressure. Jammer in the Box was excellent. I can't wait for the next book in this epic universe.
Jammer In The Box: Fatal Attraction Book 2 is a phenomenal paranormal why-choose romance by Cassandra Featherstone. It is part of the larger interconnected Legends of the Ouroboros universe so if you're enjoying this series you can find more of this world in her other series like Secrets of State U and Discordia University. This one picks up as they enter the Apalachin criminal summit and get quite an eye full. However what they discover leads to less answers and more questions. The only positive thing is they've also met some powerful allies as well. Can they figure out what is going on before the villains make their move? The world-building in this book is absolutely amazing. I loved learning along with the non-demon characters more about demons, their realm, and the criminal underbelly of Bay City. I don't want to give away too much but they make some interesting discoveries about other realms they don't often interact with. I gotta say Rogue is definitely my fav girl boss and I love how they all interact and support one another. The fact that they've all known each other for quite a while really adds to each interaction, they are able to call each other out and read deeper into things in a way only done by lifelong friends. There is some spice in the book but it doesn't take away from the story or overwhelm the plot only adds to it. The story is well balanced with character development, world-building, and interactions both playful and serious. Once again Featherstone creates a thick book that is hard to put down and leaves you craving more at the end. If you enjoy paranormal why-choose romances, with found family, mates, magic, supernatural creatures, alternate realms, drama, organized crime, spice, fights, and plenty of snark and banter then Jammer In The Box is the book for you!
Jammer in the box by Cassandra Featherstone (book 2 in her Faetal Attraction series) 5 ⭐️
I loved it. Cassandra is an auto-read for me because I can’t get enough of these interwoven finely tuned plots with beautiful complex relationships.
After having recently read the ARC for her recent release in another series in this world (Blood on the Ice) and their bonus scene at the Appalachin , it was cool to see it from Rogue’s pack POV and get a sneak look into some of the baddies. I am seriously impressed with how these groups are contained within their own series but also within the larger meta plot going on in the world they exist within. I also can’t get enough of how these characters love and support each other and allow them to be themselves while 1000% going straight to threats of violence if anyone even looks at them wrongly. I even love Rogue’s inner monologue where she knows and would normally point out her ability to take names and kick *SS in any situation but recognizes their protective instincts as new and or near mates. LOVED IT.
Now I’m off to refresh myself on Kat and the guys and what’s been happening in Hell.
definitely worth the read!!!
Tropes: Hidden bad guys Found family MMFMM BiawKening Fated mates More than meets the eye Unknown parentage (FMC) Lost twin
A great series that runs on the same timeline and plot as a few others you wrote. It's an excellent compilation of books. There are definitely some points missing from each book, like meeting in the tent at the appilachin, meeting at the elevators. It is making it difficult to line them up properly when there isn't a hint in any of the books about meeting up with Rogue and the guys in the other books. There is one hint that Kit and her guys were told that the gemini twins were in attendance but nothing else. Hopefully the rest of the series gets lined up a bit more. It's an excellent plot and series so far and I'm looking forward to reading the next ones. There might be some spoilers in this but...
Book 1 - portraits Javier as liking knife play but book 2 has him as a straight and narrow on kinks exploring his bi-tendencies. Book 1 - Archers mother's name is Samara but starts calling her sariah and is sariah in book 2. But the names list shows Samara. Book 1 - Rogue has telepathy with Rebel until she mates the guys. They had telepathy with her as well but now they don't buy the end of book 1 and all of book 2. Book 1 - Rebels true name started with an 'Ia' (sorry cannot remember his name off the top of my head). Book 2 says it's Cosmo.
There are a few spelling errors. I tried to report them all but I missed a few.
I thought attending the infamous ‘Apalachin’ criminal summit with five maybe-mates and a very punchable ex would be the worst part of my week.
Spoiler: Optimism is a hell of a drug.
Our plan to find out who is targeting me and why turned into a conspiracy that could torch the realms. We discovered a secret cabal of scary-powerful folks scheming to band together to overthrow… everything.
Then fate changed targets—and this time, the crosshairs landed on someone I love.
Archer’s teammates are disappearing one by one. Everyone’s side-eyeing him like he’s the one pulling the strings, but my adorable, goofy cat shifter mate isn’t the type. The Council’s breathing down our necks, suspicion’s running hot, and if they try to frame him for this?
When you corner a jammer, and you get hell on wheels.
We also met powerful allies at the Apalachin, but I barely have time to adjust my fishnets, much less schmooze new people. But if saving Archer means making deals with the devils we barely know?
The worldbuilding in this series and overall world just keeps on growing, and with every new part explored I wonder how the hell there can be more. And that’s the thing: No matter how many times I wonder if we’ve finally seen it all, the author still provides more: more layers, more questions, more details, … and a bit more answers, although the feeling remains that there is so much more to learn.
Even though we’re still early in their storyline, Rogue and her men already feel like a pretty balanced team. She occasionally has to battle against their protectiveness and male posturing, but they listen and try to adapt. I wish some men would read these books; they could learn a thing or two about being real men.
I honestly have no clue what the next book will bring, but I’m starting to enjoy the feeling of going in blind. I haven’t even been following around to see what book is next in this world; I’m enjoying the feeling of not knowing and just letting it come to me. I’m already looking forward to it.
We find Rogue and her men were we left them in the last book and bonus scene, at a gathering of supernaturals. The group is trying to figure out what is happening and why it’s happening. They are hoping to gather more information here. And now it looks like there are another two groups like them that are trying to gather information as well. How big is this issue? Who could possibly be involved and why? Will they be able to figure it out before one of them gets hurt again?
I liked this addition to this series. Also this book is interconnected with two other series and we will start seeing more connection between them the more books that come out. There is so much more world building as this does happen. I am excited to see this world grow even more as these books come out. I did enjoy Rogue and the guys and getting to know them more as well. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more about what happens next.
This is book 2 in the series, so please read Hell on Wheels first!! This book is also super connected with Cassandra Featherstone's other series, but you don't have to have read those in order to understand the world building or scenes with cameos of other series' characters. Speaking of other characters popping up, I looooove seeing this so much!!
If you like determined, independent FMCs, you are going to love this series. She wants to do everything herself (sometimes to a fault), but her guys just follow along and try to help her and keep her safe from the different forces trying to take them down. The relationships start to really take hold in the book, and I love the slow-burn step brother romance happening here!! The twins also make me swoon. There is good, medium heat spice throughout, but the plot is the main driver of this book.
High action, all the conflict, snark/banter galore, and a group of mates to die for - I definitely recommend giving this a read!
Can you have a panic attack caused by a cliffhanger because I'm 2 seconds from throwing my kindle. I love Rogue, she's my hero and all I want is good things for her but this book honestly hurt my feelings. We pick up the book during the Appalachian and our ragtag bay City family are meeting my honest favourite CF character EVER! KitKat and the Royal Caliphate (who's pumped for DU3? This girl 🙌) But the evil shenanigans are a little overwhelming. I like that Cassandra's books are story driven and not just spicy scenes. But when the spice happens...it happens. I'm not sure if I have a favourite mate yet, I'm leaning towards Archie and Rebel. Also the ending of this book was a little heartbreaking and I need it to be resolved quickly. This book like all CF books is thiccc so pace yourself when reading.
This is the second book in the Faetal Attraction series. I love Cassandra Featherstone’s books!! She has truly become one of my favorite authors!! She is an amazing and prolific author and I always look forward to seeing her new releases. Unfortunately, I have not had the pleasure of reading the first book in this series so this is my first time meeting these characters. I plan on reading the first book so that I can better understand these characters and their backstories. From what I have read so far, I love these characters. I think they are amazing and I can’t wait to know more about them as the series continues. Thank you, Cassandra Featherstone, for another amazing series to dig into! I love all of your books that I have read so far and I cannot wait to read the ones I have previously missed out on.
Rogue is such a fun character, I love her and all her strengths and acknowledged flaws.
I love the interlocking scenes and glimpses from other series in this universe. I get a big mood boost whenever I recognise a crossover moment or a hint of the others.
In this book, we get to attend the big meeting that's been on the horizon across the series, and then we have to deal with the aftermath of that. We are getting a lot of puzzle pieces, but it's still hard to see how they fit.
The cliff hanger was a killer, and I'm desperately awaiting the next. The good news is, the next in the universe is a preorder for in a month, and the next in this series looks like it's a crossover novella that I believe is aiming for a Christmas release.
She’s done it again! Cassandra Featherstone has me hooked! I’m loving all the cameos from other books and how the stories are all weaving together. I might be tripping but I’m pretty sure we saw a Wilde cameo at the meeting of the megaminds. But I could be totally off base. Either way, Cassandra’s story map must look like a conspiracy theorist’s murder wall.
This book started a bit slow but the action kicked us in the pants come the second half. I’m excited for the gang’s trip to Hell and another inevitable run in with my favorite family of demon hybrids.
Cassandra, never stop being you and writing captivating stories! You rock! 🤘🏻
What a story! Rogue and her guys are always so much fun. It’s easy to get lost in this story. The world building is staggering! Especially when you start connecting dots to her other series, lots of easter eggs in this one! The relationships between this newly forming found family was amazing. Even though they have all grown up together, seeing them all fall into this new dynamic made me feel all warm and fuzzy! Quite a mystery left behind as this story comes to a close, so I can’t wait to dive into the next book of this series, and the Discordia series, and the Secrets of State U series…just to start pulling all the pieces together! Can’t recommend all of these series enough!
Rogue and her "mates" attend the Apalachin criminal summit, and she thought everything was going smoothly. It was until she ran into her cuckoo ex-friend and her rival team. Sometimes being too optimistic isn't a good thing. They need to find out who wants to target her and destroy the realms as a whole. Her cat shifter mate, Archie, is being watched closely as his hockey teammates start disappearing. With the Council a little too close for comfort, will they discover who's the big bad behind everything? Can she protect those she loves? They'd better be prepared for a fight. Jammers don't crumble, they pack a punch.
They messed with the wrong Fae! Rogue Kelly isn’t here to play nice. She’s here to protect her mates, tear down conspiracies, and maybe set the realms on fire while she’s at it. So if you love powerful heroines, found family, and wild paranormal romance, this sequel to Hell on Wheels still has it all and more. This book is full of pure chaos, heart, and claws!
Loving all the crossovers with the other series in this world, as they slowly correlate to one another other, and the anticipation of more connections to the other crews and working together. Bit of a cliffhanger end to this one, I really, really need to know the outcome, can’t wait for the next book!
I absolutely adore and am obsessed with the other two series in this universe - Discordia and State U, are literally the ultimate in paranormal academy books for me, they live rent free in my head. I don’t like this series as much, it’s still good, but I don’t like the FMC as much nor her mates, though I love the lion shifter and the Phoenix to a degree. Whilst I want to own the complete sets of the other two series, because I will reread again and again, I really won’t pick up this series again. I read it because I wanted to understand the overarching story for the universe and so I can follow the upcoming holiday special.
Book 2 in this series was a wild ride. I’m pretty sure there was next to no down time in this book as we jumped from action to action, but boy did it keep you invested! There is tons of mystery and so many unanswered questions - pretty sure I need to set up an evidence board at this point.
I love how most of this author’s series’ connect in some way. Seeing characters from other series pop up is always like a special little surprise. I hope we get to see more little hints of their lives!
This series is definitely shaping up to be a good one!
This picks up straight after the first book, with Rogue and the guys trying to figure out what is going on with the Apalachin and who is after Rogue and discovering its so much bigger than what they thought.
The drama does not stop and you are left with more questions than answers. I enjoyed the cross over with the Discordia University series.
I'm loving the changing of the dynamics in their relationships in particularly with Damon and Archie.
It does end on a cliff hanger and I am very much looking forward to book 3.
The plot thickens, as the saying goes. It keeps getting bigger and I can understand why groups from other Cassandra Featherstone series are involved. It’s all going to come together eventually, I hope. I love the way the other characters cross over into this book. There are some tense moments and I certainly wasn’t expecting one of Rogue’s men to disappear. The character’s interactions are realistic and entertaining. It ended way too soon for me and I can’t wait for book 3. This really is a must read series.
Things are just coming up left and right for this group. They get a few answers and fifty million more questions that pop up. I love Rogue too. She’s not afraid to stand up for herself and others. I think having the guys in her life like they are currently is helping her learn it’s okay to lean on them if she needs to. It may be a work in progress but I see the growth she and the guys have been going through over this journey so far and I know there’s more to come. The cliffy isn’t awful but it’s there.
Rogue and her guys make for an action packed read! I never knew what was coming next, which made for a little bit of fun suspense. The guys all have their own distinct personalities that fit Rogue perfectly. I love how Archer is a lion shifter with a gooey center, he is one of my faves. Damon and Javier might be seen as the weaker links but they definitely prove that theory false, especially when Javi does his thing! Angelo and Rebel work together to dominate Rogue, even though it's hot how she can dominate them all, lol. Such a fun read, can't wait to see what comes next!
We continue Rouge & the guy's story. This story kept me up reading way past my bedtime. We get to delve deeper into everyone's back stories a bit & learn some surprising things that take our characters on a journey. I loved seeing Rouge & the guys get closer, and the relationships building between the guys...swoon. There's a lot of action, humor, steam, & a crazy ride to the cliffside. Definitely recommend this book!
Rogue's story continues in this book and it was everything I love. It was fun and intriguing. It was filled with mystery, danger, a few twists and turns, and drama. Of course we also had humor throughout and some spice.
I love Rogue even more in this book. We see her become stronger and grow closer with the guys. Speaking of her guys... We learn more about Archer in this one. I was so happy to get more of him. Overall, I like all the guys pretty equally so far.
Wow.. heat for days and I love love love this author and her way of writng brings each and every character to life so in my heart I see them perfectly
The start of book 2 is right where the bonus scene leaves off, at the meeting that had not inbuilt them but two others that are merged in this world, but not this book.
I love that each story weaves its own tale while connecting so many threads and the spice this little polypack has is off the charts.
This series keeps surprising me with how rich and detailed its world becomes. Every new book adds depth and mystery, making it feel like there’s always more to uncover. The characters, especially Rogue and her group, already have great chemistry and balance, even when they face tension or misunderstandings. It’s refreshing to see how they grow together. I have no idea what the next part will bring, but that uncertainty makes me even more excited to dive in again.
Action packed shifters delight. I loved every character in this book. It was great how it immediately picked up from the first book. I think I enjoyed the way this book was filled with so much description, chaos, battles, spice and more. The way things intertwined was just beautiful. I laughed, I got heated, exited. It’s just filled with so much! You literally cannot put this book down once you get started. I’m totally in love with this author and can’t wait to read more from them.
Book two in the five book series. This story is filled with amazing characters. This one brings us our favorite sassy female, Rogue. The group is trying to find who is out for them. This will lead to some very dangerous places, including hell. Along the way they find secrets and more danger. There are a few hot scenes and one insanely hot scene that does include m/m/m. Can’t wait to see what new trouble they find next.
Rogue and her men are no closer to finding the truth as a change of fate Intervenes. The world building continues and the plot thickens as a rescue becomes imminent. While this second book leaves you on a cliffhanger, this story is sure to keep you invested in knowing what comes next.
