Percy Bilbro needs the Bahok Indian Tribe to kill a whale so he can buy a motorhome. Hideto Tajiri needs to put the whale hunt on the Internet so he can go home. If only it were that simple. A Hollywood director complicates everything by releasing his world-famous movie star whale off the coast of Catalina. An impotent Austrian lion tamer needs to kill the whale to cure his sexual dysfunction. His ex-partner, a woman skilled with a whip, needs to kill him. A sausage heiress needs social redemption. A penniless animal rights activist needs a paycheck. A beautiful teacher needs to make a point. A conservative congressman needs to pick a fight to win an election. One reporter needs a story and another wants a date. A billionaire with a small personal submarine and a big personal grudge needs vengeance. The three old men on the Bahok Tribal Council need a good night’s sleep. And in the Pacific, Renaldo the Whale swims north, oblivious to his starring role in the frenzied quest for money, fame, revenge, and a serviceable erection.

I couldn't stop reading this book. I blew off two weekends reading it. It's so hilarious, I kept reading passages aloud to my family. This is a real gem with a great pay-off at the end.
