I should be dead. I survived being run off the road by bikers, but my fiancé didn't. Now, the man who pulled me from the wreckage is trying to gain my trust, promising to protect me and my unborn child from my fiancé's secrets. The problem? He's a biker, too. Rowan Williams is everything I find attractive in a man. Tall, dark, handsome, and covered in tattoos. He's everything I shouldn't want under the circumstances. The problem is, I do want him. Rowan works his way under my skin and into my heart and shows me all the things I didn't know I was missing. But will he be able to protect me and my child from the people in both our lives who want to destroy us?
I watched her car go off the road. I watched members from a new motorcycle club force her vehicle off the road and leave her for dead. I felt an immense need to protect her then, and now it's grown tenfold. Someone is stalking her and leaving threatening notes and the only way I know how to keep her safe, is to bring her under club protection. Everly Kincaid is my total opposite. She's a first-grade teacher, sweet and kind. I'm the vice president of the Sovereign Sons Motorcycle Club. Her life is prim and proper, mine is rough and dirty. I'm drawn to her, though. At first, I spend time with her as a way to protect her, but it quickly changes to something more, and now I'm even more determined to keep her and her child safe. Club life has taught me one thing for certain. You fight for what you want, and I want her.
The Paths We Cross is the second book in the Sovereign Sons North Carolina series. It is a standalone and can be read by itself, but will be better enjoyed if read in release order. Please, check trigger warnings before reading.
Paige Ammann is an author and hair stylist from Illinois. Her first book was published in 2023, but she’s written, and scrapped, many books before then.
Paige is an avid reader. If you look at her bookshelf, you may see all five star ratings. That’s because Paige only finishes books she loves. Life is too short to read something you don’t enjoy.
Paige writes and reads as a way to escape reality and hopes that her books can be an escape for you.
This is my favorite type of trope in a book, so I was so excited to read it, but the editing misses are NEXT LEVEL. Everly’s pregnancy timeline changes from 8 months to 6 months back to 8 months in 3 chapters, a dramatic conflict reveal is information the FMC had known in previous chapters, and even Sophie from book 1 is referred to as Sadie at one point. This book needs to be pulled off Amazon, edited, and then put back on. It’s so distracting from the story line.
I skipped book one and moved right to this one (no a second chance romance fan). It truly read as a standalone in the series, and I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything important from the first book.
A good dark MC light romance with a solid plot line.
Awesome book! Awesome series!!! I love Rowen was so sexy and harass but also so sweet to his girls. Also the drama and MC vibes were great. Can't wait to see what happens next
I devoured this book. Rowan is absolutely swoon-worthy. Everly was such a sweetheart. The storyline was good. Plenty of action and spice. This author is becoming a favourite of mine. Bring on Axel and Wren's book!!
Rowan is such a sweetheart. And Everly deserves good and light, which Rowan gives her, as well as a few other things. He's her rock, truth and love. I love this series. A must read!
