The manipulator who played with her until the Night Hunt took her life.
Now I’m back at Westpoint Academy, demanding answers.
But Rhett doesn’t give answers.
He gives scars. He gives lies. He gives me a reason to fear the dark.
And still, he drags me closer.
I came to destroy him.
But he’s already decided—I’ll be the one he keeps.

Manipulative AntiheroDark Secrets & Sister’s GhostEnemies-to-LoversPsychological GamesConsensual Non-Consent (CNC)Stalker RomanceDual POV, First PersonBreaking Isolde is the second book in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series by Haven Snow. This series is classified as dark romance and is intended for mature audiences only.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*'𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐄'°❀⋆.ೃ࿔* Is the second full length dark romance book in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series by new to me author Haven Snow. Spoken in 'Dual POV's. In this you'll meet Rhett (Feral boy number #2) & Isolde.
The first book Breaking Ophelia: Feral Boys of Westpoint: Book One pulled me out of a week long drought of not finding anything to grab my attention enough to keep it so here's hoping this one keeps that slump away..And it did..I really enjoy this authors storytelling abilities, the way she pulls me in effortlessly, and holds my attention throughout without my mind wandering.
Isolde's arrival at West Point Academy has one purpose only, and that's getting to the bottom of her sister Casey's death, she needs to know what happened because for one moment she doesn't believe the bullshit she was fed “Probable suicide. No evidence of foul play. Victim found in woods near hunting knife. Wounds sustained indicative of self harm. Closed case.” No matter what it takes Isolde is prepared to wreak havoc and enact revenge for her sisters untimely death because she knew her sister like the back of her hand and knows she'd never commit suicide. “I'm not leaving this place until I burn every secret to the ground.”
It takes no time at all for Isolde to come under Rhett's radar, he knew straight away who she was“She's my type to a T. I want to destroy her. To consume her. To allow her to infiltrate every cell that was written with Casey’s name and replace it with her own.” where Casey was a lesson, Isolde is a test. And he's more than prepared this time around to claim his prize. This is Rhett's second time partaking in the 'Night Hunt' his final chance at redemption a do over from a year ago where things went too far and 'The Board' stepped in and had to rewrite the rules. Let the chase begin...
“ Isolde Greenwood has been selected as your Prey. In accordance with the Night Hunt protoco;s, you will be responsible for her integration, capture, and, ultimately, her subjugation and reproduction. You must mark your claim in front of the Boys before sunrise, or you forfeit and she dies.”
This one was more in-depth when it came to the society brick by brick it’s slowly going to come tumbling down if these feral boys join forces together.
One thing these girls have in common is they fight tooth and nails up against the boys chosen for them, but after the hunt they easily submit as though the fight has left their souls. But an unflappable unity unites them as couples which will fight to the bitter end against the board.
Three Feral Boys are left to claim their prizes (Colton, Jules & Bam).
We're back at Westpoint Academy (a secret society built within the school walls, enforcing outdated, old, messed-up traditions for those in power to stay in power), and I was so excited to be getting the story of the mysterious night when The Hunt took Isolde's sister's life.
The beginning was written well; I like how they gave us an overview of the past and the part with the 'ghost'. It didn't feel like it went on forever, but it did give us enough to know what happened (I feel like I need to note that he didn't have that awkward feeling of him wishing she were alive [not that he wanted her dead] because he loved her so much and was trying to replace her with Isolde). The overarching plot is full of mystery and drama, which left me in suspense and needing to know what's going to happen next. Each book is interconnected in that the storyline continues as the series progresses, but there is a HEA for each couple!!
Ugh, people can be so cruel - the things they said and did to Isolde are horrible after losing her sister, Casey 😳, but she was resilient and determined to find out about the truth. She didn't let others' pettiness and insecurities break her; she kept her sister's memory alive, which gave her a kind of inner strength.
Rhett, I was conflicted by him, I felt both bad for him and yet I was glad that he was suffering in guilt after what happened to Casey (even if he didn't intend it to go that way) 🫣. A little further into the book, I hated Rhett; he was cruel, and it felt like he was just like those horrible people in power - then.... he goes and does something and I like him again.... and then don't..... and then do.......... 🤯😵💫..... 🤔. It def added another layer to the story!
The FMCs (so far in this series) were brave during the hunt, which I was happy to read (and they were aware that there wasn't much that could be done to stop it because of the consequenses they would face from those in charge), but I still wish that the FMCs would be enraged (after the hunt) about what just happened to them; to show the MMC that they are angry at what they did. I was happy there was no third act, though, as I'm not a fan of those.
But even with that one part I got frustrated with, I'm really enjoying this series, and am curious to know what's coming next! If you're okay with the TW's then I would recommend this series.

Breaking Isolde is the second explosive installment in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series, and once again, Haven delivers a chef’s kiss dark romance masterpiece. Isolde arrives at Westpoint with one mission: uncover the truth behind her sister’s death. Nothing is going to stop her. But the one person holding the answers is Rhett, and she’s determined to make him talk. The tension between these two? Absolutely electric. Every stare, every push and pull, every moment charged with dangerous chemistry. Rhett sees right through Isolde’s walls, and she sees the cracks in his darkness too. Then that ending! Isolde’s decision shook me. Knowing the risks, knowing it could cost her everything, she still chooses to fight for her sister and for everyone else who’s been wronged.I am not going to spoil a thing, but just know this: the series keeps getting darker, hotter, and more intense. If you even kind of enjoy dark, obsessive, stalker-vibe romances, you NEED this series in your life. 100% recommended!
Another 4.5 ⭐️ for me. This is the story of Rhett and Isolde. Isolde arrives at West Point Academy looking for answers and revenge for her sister’s death. Unbeknownst to her at the time she’s become the chosen one for Rhett in the Night Hunt. I love how these boys get so protective over their girl, even if they attempt to break her first. This book will lead you down a different path than the first one but I can’t wait to find out what happens next!!
Where in book 1 Caius really stood out, in this book it was Isolde. She is tough as nails. I love how when Isolde became Rhett’s hunt that was it for him.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars — Dark, Addictive, and Absolutely Unforgettable
Breaking Isolde grabbed me by the throat in the best possible way. Haven Snow has this incredible talent for blending raw emotion with dangerous, razor-edged tension, and book two takes that intensity to a whole new level.
Isolde’s journey in this installment is haunting and powerful. She’s fierce, fragile, stubborn, and painfully human a heroine who feels her emotions down to the bone and refuses to let the world break her, even when it tries again and again. Watching her navigate the shadows around her had me holding my breath more than once.
And the boys… wow. The Feral Boys live up to their name chaotic, possessive, damaged, loyal in the most twisted, beautiful ways. Their connection with Isolde is messy, magnetic, and impossible to look away from. Every scene between them carries this undercurrent of danger and desire that left me completely hooked.
This book is darker, sharper, and more emotionally charged than the first, and yet it somehow manages to dig even deeper into themes of trust, survival, and found family. The writing is lush and gripping, and the atmosphere wraps around you until you feel as trapped and as drawn in as the characters themselves.
By the final page, I wasn’t just invested… I was wrecked in the best, most addictive way.
Haven Snow absolutely delivered. If you love dark romance with bite, heart, and a heroine who refuses to shatter this is a must-read.
Have I reread this one at least two times…..yes, yes I have! No shame…but each reread I pick up on this I missed the first time!!!! Holy smokes Haven I need more please!!! Check them triggers people!!!! Don’t go in blind!!
We’re back at Westpoint Academy with another hunt looming on the horizon, but this time, the hunter might just become the hunted. Isolde arrives hungry for answers, desperate to uncover what really happened to her sister, Casey, and determined to make everyone responsible pay. Yet from the moment she steps through the academy’s doors, she catches the eye of Rhett. Intense, magnetic, and far more dangerous than she ever anticipated. He sees straight through her to the steel beneath, something beautiful and lethal. “My type to a T.” And that only fuels his obsession. “I want to destroy her. To consume her. To allow her to infiltrate every cell that was written with Casey’s name and replace it with her own.” Rhett is the only one who can give Isolde the truth she seeks, and he can’t help but admire the fire that drives her. What Isolde never planned for, though, was how impossibly hard Rhett would be to resist. She hates him—she should hate him—he’s a monster in every sense. But is he truly beyond redemption? Watching the tension twist tighter and tighter between them is completely absorbing, a deliciously agonizing game of push and pull that sinks its hooks in deep. Isolde understands what’s coming now; she knows the brutal reality of the Night Hunt. But does she really want to escape it… or does some part of her want Rhett to catch her? Rhett’s ambiguity is nothing short of intoxicating. One moment he’s almost gentle, unexpectedly tender; the next he’s cold, feral, and utterly untouchable. You keep asking yourself why he’s so impossible to look away from, and I’m convinced it’s those fleeting glimpses of vulnerability that make him utterly unforgettable. This is dark romance at its absolute finest—addictive, intense, and gloriously twisted, yet strangely relatable in all the best, most mesmerizing ways. Clear your schedule before you crack this book open, because once you start, you won’t be able to tear yourself away. We're back at Westpoint Academy (a secret society built within the school walls, enforcing outdated, old, messed-up traditions for those in power to stay in power), and I was so excited to be getting the story of the mysterious night when The Hunt took Isolde's sister's life. The things they said and did to Isolde are horrible after losing her sister, Casey , but she was resilient and determined to find out about the truth. She didn't let others' pettiness and insecurities break her; she kept her sister's memory alive, which gave her a kind of inner strength. Was here for how determined she was! I was so conflicted by Rhett our MMC. I felt both bad for him and yet I was glad that he was suffering in guilt after what happened to Casey (even though he didn't want things to go the way they did and don’t plan for it) . But as I read on I was not a big fan of him he was cruel, and it felt like he was just like those horrible people in power - then.... he goes and does something and I like him again...and I’m just back and forth about him, but after everything that happened… I did want to see more of that r@ge, but I loved how strong and brave Casey was during the hunt. It can be read by itself but I would recommend the reading in order. This was a dark, twisted, corrupted, spicy read and I can't wait to read more. I’m completely hooked!
I’m a huge fan of Haven Snow and she truly writes amazing dark, spicy novels. I’m loving the transition into her dark academia era with the new Feral Boys of Westpoint series. This book was so intense, with a captivating plot, emotional storytelling and lots and lots of smut. It’s another “hunt” style plot, kind of like The Ritual mixed in with the Legacy of Gods series. There’s a cult where men hunt a girl in the woods to claim her. Except this time, she’s not just a scared nervous girl, she’s out for revenge and she’s willing to do anything to get it. I loved Isolde so much! Her fire, her determination, her everything was intoxicating. She was such an incredible character and I loved how she was written. Like she’s a fierce strong fmc, but in a way that felt really relatable and real. And Rhett is honestly a different breed, my favourite kind of morally grey man. So obsessed, so possessive and basically a devil in disguise. I loved the plot and the twists were great, but I do think the characters carried this book a little more. This is part of a larger interconnected series and you don’t have to read the first one to understand this one, but it does give you a better overall idea, because this books concept will continue to the next book. I loved this, I can’t wait to see more and I give it a 4.5/5
Every book in this series may have different couple, but with how each book ended, i highly suggest you read from book one.
First of all, this society is fuck up! Deranged, unhinged, sadistic, downright criminals!
What happened to old archaic way of arrange marriage? Atleast with arrange marriage it will give them what they claimed to want. Heirs. Successors. But their hunt, is nothing but way to degrade, dehumanize and eventually slaughter the women.
While for the charachters... The only reason i keep reading was the prologue. Rhett saw the ghost. He feel that guilt and want to burn the society from the inside. While Isolde, at first i rooted for her. Her list, her revenge, her determination to exact blood from her sister's killer. But, in the end, its all bark and no bite. Like Rhett said, shes a kitten with claws but not enough sharp to really bite.
The segs scene....far and between.
Overall, its a long and slow carefull work to dismantle the society. For these feral boys cant show their hands completely. If you cant handle the first book, hard to continue to the end. So buckle up.

Breaking Isolde is book 2 in the Feral Boys if Westpoint series. This whole series is a dark academia, secret society romance, with heavy dark themes.
While this book follows Rehtt and Isolde, I strongly recommend reading book 1, Breaking Ophelia, since the endings of both books are strinctly connected.
I liked the setting, the oppressive feeling, the stalking, and the need to discover what happened in the past. I liked Isolde, her attitude toward the Hunt, her strenght and resilience. Rehtt was an interesting character, the morally ambiguous MMC that in reality has a concience, and someone that will do anything he can to save those he loves.
I would have liked more context for both characters, but this was a relatively quick read, and entirely focused on the hunt, the claiming. In the end it was entertaining, and something to break the pace of Christmas reads.
This is the 2nd book in the Feral boys of Westpoint series. Every book has a leading couple, but there is a red thread throughout the series. In this book the leading characters are Isolde and Rhett.
I highly suggest reading the books in order, to have the best reading experience.
Isolde wants to know the truth concerning the death of her sister Casey.
And Rhett is conflicted, following him throughout the story, was like being on a roller coaster.
The story starts strong and very promising.
Then the hunt comes. They are forced to join it and it brings pain and raw emotions. The enemies to lovers is brilliantly worked out, there is no escaping it. I read some passages with holding my breath. I could foresee what was coming but still it felt very raw and intense.
If you love dark romance with strong characters, then this one might be your pick!
The ending doesn’t disappoint and lets some things open for the rest of the series….

This book hooked me almost immediately and never let go. Breaking Isolde is an emotionally intense story that does a fantastic job of pulling the reader into Isolde’s world and making you feel every moment alongside her. Isolde is a beautifully complex character—strong, guarded, and deeply affected by her past—and I really appreciated how realistic her emotions and reactions felt throughout the book. Nothing about her journey felt rushed or glossed over.
The writing style is immersive and engaging, especially when it comes to portraying internal conflict and emotional pain. I loved how the author balanced darker themes with moments of hope and strength, allowing Isolde to grow in ways that felt earned rather than forced. By the time I reached the end, I was fully invested in both the character and the series as a whole. This was a powerful, unforgettable start and an easy five-star read for me.

Breaking Isolde is book 2 in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series. You do want to read book 1, Breaking Ophelia, before this one! This is a dark romance, so if you need to avoid certain triggers, check the triggers before reading.
As with Breaking Ophelia, if you enjoy the books of Shantel Tessier and Selena Winters, check out this series.
Isolde comes to Westpoint Academy to find out what happened to her sister Casey and gains the attention of Rhett. Rhett was initially to claim Casey in the Night Hunt, but Casey did not make it through the hunt.
Rhett makes a choice very similar to what Caius did as his feelings towards Isolde grow.
The Night Hunt scenes did feel a lot shorter and less of a focus than with the first book, but instead, the other elements to the story took up a larger focus.
I can’t wait to continue this series with book 3.

This is book 2 of the Feral Boys of Westpoint series, and it's probably best to have read book 1 first to get enough information about the Hunt and the background of the university.
This is Rhett and Isolde's story. Isolde arrives at Westpoint after her sister, Casey, dies during the Hunt the year prior. Rhett was her match, and Isolde is there to find out what happened to her sister, so of course she's matched to him as well.
The tension and the chemistry are great here, and I loved the hunt as much as the first book. The way that Isolde takes over the narrative makes for an interesting read.
My only sticking point is it feels a bit odd to me that Isolde is willing to move on beyond what happened to her sister so easily. Her anger about the nature of the hunt and how she's treated is missing a little bite. But it was still such an enjoyable read that I'm not mad - I can't wait to see book 3!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Ophelia was a very pleasant person. Stubborn and tough, indomitable and unbreakable. But in the end, everyone succumbs to the Feral Boys. And why wouldn't they? I liked the wild interactions between Isolde and Rhett, they were really wild.
The plot is almost the same as in the first book... love, fighting, claiming, but in the end, there is something extra.
Still, I liked the first part a little more, but even so, this book has its charm, and the main protagonists have their own way of standing up to everyone. I'm rooting for them and will be happy to be there with them.
In any case, I will definitely read the next part, as I am very interested in Bam.

I received this as an arc, thank you for giving me the chance to read it. Breaking Isolde is book 2 of the Feral boys of Westpoint. Once again Haven writes a book that is *chefs kiss* fantastic! Isolde is at Westpoint to find out the true reason of her sister dying. She is on a mission and nothing is getting in her way. Rhett is the one person who knows the truth and Isolde will get it. Oh man… the tension between these two is everything. I love how Rhett looks at Isolde and what he sees in her, and the same with Isolde she sees something in Rhett. The ending, you got to hand it to Isolde to make the decision she does. Knowing it could end her life, she does it anyway for her sister and the others. I can’t say much, I don’t wanna ruin it, but this series is just sooooo good! If you like dark stalker type romances even a little bit, yo HAVE to read this, 100%!!!!!!!!
Haven did it again! Another jackpot and ohh isn't this one tasty! I want to keep this review short since there's so much that can spoil the story but basically this Rhett's and Isolde's story. Issy join the academy to figure out her sisters death and Rhett has been involved in the incident. To me the most interesting part was the plotline running through the books, I'm so ready to find out how things unravel! I really liked both Rhett and Issy, Issy being a sassy badass who wasn't scared to fight back and Rhett being the two sided person, a monster he was raised to be and a hurt lost boy who he was deep down.
Please check the triggers if you have any and if not just dive in blind! Happy reading everyone!

I loved this! It's Rhett & Issy's story & it was awesome!! She goes to Westpoint for answers & vengeance. She wants to know what happened to her sister & the one that has the answers? She's been chosen for him for "The Hunt". They don't get along at all at first, but their chemistry is amazing! She's been finding things out though, things that she shouldn't know & it puts them both in even more danger. This school had secrets, deadly ones & they'll do whatever it takes to keep it that way. The boys though? They have their own plans & they're running the long game. I loved learning more about the school & all that goes on there. The spice was fantastic & I loved the story! Highly recommend this book & author!
This is the second book in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series and in this book, the story of Rhett and Isolde unfurls. I do have to say, I didn’t like Rhett initially, but his darkness pulled me in, just as it had pulled in Isolde. The story is well paced and well told. There’s angst, secrets, grief, and incredible spice. You’ll be taken on a journey that will leave you gasping and riveted. This one is definitely dark, so I would read the TWs before I start this one if you tend to on the more sensitive side. But, overall, this one was a really good read. I cannot wait for the next one in this series.

The second book in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series of dark romances set within a secret society, is full of mystery and suspense. It’s dark twisted, and erupting with steam! Isolde arrives at Westpoint Acadamy, seeking answers and vengeance to her sister Casey’s death at the Night Hunt. Rhett was not the obstacle she was anticipating, and things get dark from there. I definitely didn’t come up for much air during this read, Snow writes to entrap you within the pages.

The second instalment to feral boys of Westpoint was definitely a page turner!! Isolde and Rhett were the perfect match. They complimented each other throughout the entire book.
She was fierce and determined to figure out what happened to her sister. He was the only one that could make her love him even after she hated him.
The growth of both characters were so well done
Im so excited for the next installment.

Haven Snow does dark spicy romance so good. This is the second book in this interconnected series and it just got better. It's intense, dark, and twistedly delicious. This book kept me on the edge of my seat with its thrilling exciting plot and morally gray characters.

Looking forward to the next book in this addictive series.
This is a very well done st@lker, enemies-to-lovers romance with psychological games and a morally gray anti-hero. Isolde is determined to uncover details of her sister's death. She came do destroy Rhett, who was previously involved with her sister. She never counted on finding him so alluring like a magnetic pull. And he has already decided she is going to be his. this story is amazing, you absolutely have to read it.
Rhett and Isolde's story is similar yet not, to that of Caius and Ophelia in book one of the series. Yes, we have the continuation of the secret society, rituals and traditions, and unhinged MCs. It's still deliciously dark and sinfully sexy too. Yet, this time we have history to contend with in the form of Isolde's sister, and the secrets held. Loving this series...

This couple have gone through so much in the small amount of time. They fight, they try to win & they make sure that Casey's death & all the other girls before her are not gone in vain. This story wreaked me. I don't know why this happened since the first story but I guess it hit harder. Thanks to Haven for another great read!!
Isolde attends Westpoint to figure out the how/what/why of her sister, Casey's death. What she didn't expect to find was Rhett. Rhett is connected to her sister's death and what he didn't expect to find, and fall for, was Isolde. I liked their story because I felt their characters were relatable and their reactions/emotions were believable and made it so very enjoyable.
This was an amazing read that grabbed me from the very first page and kept me interested and reading until the very last page. It moves along at a pace that is the perfect speed for the flow of this story and the characters, no matter what, you will love them. This book is a must read that needs to be at the top of your TBR list. You will not be sorry that you read this.
