°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*'𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐏𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐀'°❀⋆.ೃ࿔* Is the first full length dark romance book in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series by new to me author Haven Snow. Spoken in 'Dual POV's. In this you'll meet Caius & Ophelia.

Well this definitely got me out of that week long drought of a funk I’d been in…I'd picked up many books only to put them down again.

☀︎ Bully Romance
☀︎ Dark Obsession
☀︎ Forced Proximity
☀︎ Stalker Vibes
☀︎Touch Her and Die
☀︎ The Night Hunt Ritual

Welcome to Westpoint Academy. This had the usual secret society bullshit, the slight bullying, the stalking, the claiming, the obsession, the hunt, nothing new which hasn't been done before. But it did pull me out of a funk I'd found myself in so points for that.. This definitely had some of my favorite tropes which I seek out, bully, secret society, enemies to lovers, and hot boy stalker.

There's set rules which the 'Five sons' (Colton, Caius, Rhett, Bam & Julian) have to follow in order to keep this tradition alive, breed, then pass on the first son to the society so that the bloodline can carry on with this old tradition. The chosen girls are nothing but pieces on a chessboard. Property, Breeders, Wives.

Caius is the leader of 'The Feral Boys,' their duty is to break the chosen girl (and not before) on the night of the hunt, (from dusk till dawn). If he doesn't claim her that night, he will be hunted and she will simply disappear.

Ophelia was sold to the Academy due to a dept her father incurred during gambling. If she survives 'The Hunt' his dept will be cleared and Ophelia will be Caius'. She didn't play the damsel in distress part, she was all brimstone and spitfire, she wasn't one to break easily. And Caius' definitely had his work cut out for him.

I don't know how 'The Board' knew she'd be my poison, how her curvy little body would seep into my veins, but they did.

He quickly becomes a man obsessed, no matter what he throws at her, she doesn't yield to his command. Her willpower and strength is what he loves about her.

gifntext-gif

The rules are simple. Claim the girl. Do it before sunrise. Do it in a place where everyone can see. Make it entertaining, or it doesn't count. If she cries, bonus points. If she fights, better.

I liked how things between them changed after the hunt, that has me invested enough to have me grabbing the next book to see how he does things. 65451226-2019570151487824-6157464638251335680-n

4.5 🌟 for me. This is a dark romance that throws some bulling, dark obsession and stalker vibes at you. Caius is the leader of The Feral Boys, Ophelia is the strong take no shit girl in this story. Ophelia becomes Caius’ chosen one and they must ‘perform’ during the Night Hunt. Caius attempts to break her before the Night Hunt but when she doesn’t bend becomes obsessed with Ophelia. Looking forward to reading Breaking Isolde next!!

Breaking Ophelia is the first book in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series by Haven Snow. This series is classified as dark romance and is intended for mature audiences only.

We’re not making love. We’re making war.

I want to memorize this—her body, her sounds, the way she’s both my downfall and my heaven.

“Damn, baby girl. You look like you’ve seen better days,” he smirks. I bite the inside of my cheek. “Thanks to you, d!(k wad.”

“Lavender huh?”
“I got it for you,” he says, not meeting my eyes. “Noticed you liked it that night...”
“St@lker,” I rasp. He shrugs. “I prefer attentive.”

“You’re not what I expected,” she says. “What did you expect?” “Monster. Soci0path. The usual.” I grin. “I can be.” She looks away. “I know.”

What to expect

Bully Romance
Dark Obsession
Forced Proximity
St@lker Vibes
Touch Her and ☠️
The Night Hunt Ritual
Dual POV, First Person
‘Good girl’
Secret society

Oh, Ophelia has had a rough life. She is so freaking strong and a bad as**
Caius is a part of a secret society and was raised by them, he st@lks and hunts Ophelia, she is his obsession and wants to claim her. He is supposed to be her punishment, but he doesn’t break her. She survives the night hunt and he claims her and won’t let her go. Binding them together.
She brings out the rebel side of him and let’s just say she’s sassy. Love her strength.
I fully enjoyed this reading and can’t wait for the next book; Breaking Isolde is the second book in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series by Haven Snow. I am absolutely hooked. This was fantastic.

: Haven Snow will always be one of my favourite dark romance authors, because she writes the some of the best mmcs ever! And of course, Caius is no exception! It’s a bully romance with really freaky bully elements that I loved! Im a huge dark academia person, I love that vibe in a dark romance and this book gives “The Ritual”, with its secret society vibes. Her father sold her into a school where she has to basically become an incubator and belong to a the heir of a huge part of the organisation. It’s a classic hate to love trope, he can’t stand her, but he also can’t stay away. He ends up stalking her around the school and fcking her in the library (good shit). Also the “hunt” ritual sort of trope or plot device is now everywhere? I’m seeing it everywhere but I enjoyed this one despite reading many similar scenes before. I didn’t see that much that stood out about Ophelia unfortunately, she was just a regular sort of strong dark romance fmc, she stands her ground and that’s part of why he’s so attracted to her. There were some pretty good plot twists in this book, and the entire book was intense and exciting. I enjoyed reading this, and I saw a bit of characters development in both of them which I liked, because this book in itself wasn’t very long and sometimes in shorter books character development gets overlooked. You can see the change in them although I feel the ending was a little underwhelming I still very much enjoyed this and give it a 4/5

This book grabbed me from the start! Ophelia is a strong headed girl who refuses to be broken. Caius is determined to break her in any way he can. This was a slow burn for me, but the storyline is fantastic. I really enjoy Haven Snow's books and I look forward to reading more books in this series. I love how Ophelia slowly gives herself to Caius and the bond that they grew.

This had a lot of potential. A lot of things I liked the idea of but in the end it just didn’t follow through. I love a secret society of rich boys and an event where they have to claim their person but this just fell flat.

Wow, so many emotions with this one - took me a while to process 🤯 Please check the warnings!

Ophelia's father owes a debt to the wrong people, and she ends up as payment. Westpoint Academy, a secret society hidden within its walls (where the debt is owed), honours old tradition, ritual and a clear hierarchy as the most important thing. "The Board" oversees and is the head of the academy and controls its members. The Feral Boys are known as Kings there, and Caius is the one who is told to watch after and claim Opheila. These guys are cruel and like to humiliate others who are 'not worthy' and make them cry. So when Ophelia keeps her chin up and doesn't break from the bullying, Caius is intrigued.

The Hunt is a big tradition that happens from sunset until sunrise, and Caius has been forced into hunting Opheila. It is brutal, heartbreaking and very traumatic. At first, Caius was cruel and anything but kind - I really disliked him at first, but he ends up having strong feelings for Ophelia and really cares for her. She is a fighter, a survivor, and she didn't back down. There was one part of the book that left me speechless and in tears, even though I understood that they needed to survive, and Caius couldn't see any other way. I was so angry that after all that, she wasn't furious. I so badly wanted her to push back with rage, but maybe she didn't have anything left. I did appreciate that Caius did what he could during the hunt and tried to show a little bit of comfort, but in the end, it was devastating.

The end has a bit of a twist, and I really enjoyed watching them get their HEA! I'm excited to read about the next Feral Boy in book 2!! If you're okay with the warnings and enjoy the tropes, then I would recommend this book.

For those of us still haunted by the “Stalkers in the Woods”, prepare to descend again, but this time into the shadows of Westpoint Academy. The feral boys have arrived, and they make the Stalkers look almost tame. In true dark romance tradition, this story isn’t here to comfort you. It’s here to consume you. Behind the academy’s iron gates lies a legacy of cruelty and power, ruled by the Board and their sacred ritual: the Night Hunt. Five heirs await to participate in this tradition, to be given a woman to chase, claim, and bind—body and soul. What begins as a hunt becomes something far more primal, far more dangerous. Caius reigns as the leader of this twisted pack. Ophelia is his prey. From the moment she enters Westpoint, it’s clear she isn’t built to break. She’s been through hell already and forged herself into something sharp enough to strike back. Every time Caius tries to shatter her, she meets his cruelty with fire and it’s that defiance that undoes him. Caius is the embodiment of the monster you can’t stop watching—brutal, calculating, obsessed. Yet beneath the violence, something shifts. His urge to dominate becomes an instinct to protect, and that’s where the real darkness lies: in watching a monster fall to his knees for the woman he tried to destroy. Make no mistake, Westpoint is not a safe read. The spice is laced with pain, control, and a suffocating dose of dubious consent. But if you crave stories that blur the line between desire and destruction, this one will leave claw marks on your soul. And the ending? It seems like a HEA, but I suspect the academy is not done with these two, promising more blood, more secrets and more kings to fall. Rhett’s story is coming and I can already feel it stalking closer.

ARC Review – Breaking Ophelia (Feral Boys of Westpoint #1) by Haven Snow

I went into Breaking Ophelia expecting darkness, but wow… this book dives straight into the deep end. From the first chapter, I felt that punched-in-the-gut intensity that only a true dark romance can deliver. Caius and the Feral Boys aren’t just intimidating they’re feral, and Haven Snow doesn’t try to soften them for the sake of likability. Honestly? I kind of appreciated that.

Ophelia’s journey was the part that hooked me. She’s thrown into something cruel, twisted, and almost ritualistic, and even though she’s scared, she doesn’t fold. Watching her hold her ground (even when it feels impossible) made me connect with her more than I expected. She has this quiet strength that made the harsher moments resonate.

The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about the book. It’s gritty, intense, and a little suffocating in the best way like you can feel the danger on the page. The dynamic between Ophelia and Caius? Messy, toxic, addictive, and complicated. It’s the kind of connection that isn’t supposed to make sense, but somehow does in the context of this world.

That said, there were moments where the darkness pushed right up against my limit. Some scenes made me pause and remind myself: “Yes, this is dark romance, this is what I signed up for.” The emotional resolution toward the end left me with mixed feelings, but not in a bad way more in a “these characters are damaged and it shows” way.

Overall, I’m landing on a solid 4 stars. It’s gripping, it’s intense, and it definitely stuck with me after I put my Kindle down. If you love dark romance that doesn’t pull its punches, this one will probably hit the spot just go in prepared for the shadowy, twisted parts too.

This is book 1 in a series (ends in a cliffhanger) and a dark romance - check triggers before reading.

Breaking Ophelia is set in Westpoint Academy - a school for the obnoxiously rich, similar to that in the LORDS series. We have dark academia vibes and secret society vibes as well.

The beginning of this story goes a little slowly for me, but it's well worth it. We set the scene, with Ophelia arriving at the school, having been forced to go there because her father sold her to repay his debt. This school is darker than others, or at least more explicitly dark - there's a major dystopian focus on the "breeder" aspect of women and they're really not given much more value than that. Ophelia is given to Caius, one of the "Feral Boys," the heir of one of the key funders of the organization.

The basic elements of this story are pretty common at this point - secret society set in academia, the women belong to the men, and there's a "hunt" ritual that they must go through to claim their prey. But this is very well done, and I found myself entrenched in the connection between Caius and Ophelia. Ophelia is strong and refuses to yield - but that's part of what's attractive for Caius.

I'm looking forward to seeing more books in this series!

Breaking Ophelia is an intense, atmospheric dark romance that immediately pulls you into its dual-POV world. From the prologue onward, Haven Snow sets a tone that’s both unsettling and irresistible, giving the story a kind of cinematic sharpness—especially in the chapters from Caius’s perspective. The contrast between Ophelia’s vulnerability and strength makes her a compelling narrator, and the switching viewpoints add a lot of emotional depth and tension to their dynamic.

What I enjoyed most was how the book balances character psychology with plot movement. There’s a constant push-and-pull energy that kept me turning pages, and the writing style is vivid without feeling overdone. Some of the emotional beats truly land, especially in moments where Ophelia’s voice becomes raw and honest.

My only reason for not giving it a full five stars is that there were small sections that felt a bit slower or overly descriptive, especially compared to the sharp intensity that drives the rest of the book. But overall, the story delivers on mood, tension, and character complexity in a way that stands out within the genre.

There is a dark tradition at Westpoint college that will either kill you or keep you hostage for the rest of your life. Caius is part of the a group called the Feral Boys who are the elites of the school and they have to participate in a ritual called The Hunt where they claim someone to procreate with a survivable bloodline. Ophelia is at Westpoint because her dad sold her to the school to pay off his debt and she is the lowest of the low. Caius has taken special interest in Ophelia because the board made her his chosen, but feelings start to take shape can Ophelia keep her composure?

This book was good and it definitely reminded me of Hunting Adeline and the LORDS series combined, but wasn't as heavy in some parts. I loved the dual POVs how different they were and how they complimented each other too. I do wish that this book was a little longer and talked about more after the Hunt like the build up was. The attention to detail was very descriptive and made the book come alive. I'm excited to see where book 2 goes!.

The book pleasantly surprised me. I thought I wouldn't be the target audience, as it deals with students and student clubs. But I was very wrong.

I was hooked from the very first pages and couldn't put the book down.

I like secret societies and power games. I was curious to see how it would be handled, and I must say that it was handled maturely and very well.

Ophelia was one of the strongest heroines I have ever read about. Everyone, including me, would probably admire her strength and dignity.

Caius, dark, brooding, rough, taking what he wants, but with a surprisingly gentle side and the courage to stand up for his own love. He made my knees weak ☺️, such a lover of my heart.

I really enjoyed the whole book and fell in love with all of them, and I'm very curious about the stories of the other "brothers," how they themselves will deal with it all, and how it will all turn out.

Simply Feral Boys.

I swear Haven puts dr@gs in her books 😂

I really really don’t enjoy academy romance. They just aren’t for me.

BUT THIS BOOK?!? Yes yes yes. Forever in my top 10 reads.
Haven definitely does academy romance different than most authors. The night hunt element was the perfect addition that made me so obsessed with this series already..

Not only is Haven a spectacular writer, she has gonna above and beyond all my expectations for this book.

Caius is dark, and depraved but he is a complete softy for only his girl.
Ophelia is strong and unbreakable but chooses to bend for only him.

The character development, the plot, the spice.. they were all absolute perfection.

The enemies to lovers trope fit so well and it couldn’t have been written better.

I’m so incredibly thankful for the opportunity haven has given me to experience the worlds that live in her head.

I cannot wait for the next 4 books to The Feral Boys of West Point.

Congratulations on another masterpiece gorgeous 🩵

This is book one in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series. I've read a few books by Haven Snow in the past and had enjoyed them, so when I got the chance to read this one, I jumped at the chance. And I"m glad I did. I love bully romances and this one had all the makings of a great one. My only complaint is that it's a cliffhanger. However, the story and the characters were so well developed that I am willing to wait for the next book, albeit impatiently. You'll get angst, bullying, an FMC that is smart, strong, and resilient, who refuses to break or bend and an MMC that deserves a swiftest kick in where the son don't shine. I just hope that Ophelia makes him suffer fully and not be like the other Ophelia that we all know. This was good. I don't know what else to say. I just need the next book. Please.

Breaking Ophelia by Haven Snow is exactly what dark romance lovers crave — unhinged intensity, forbidden desire, and a secret society. This first book in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series pulls you into a world where pleasure and pain blur beautifully.

Ophelia is sold to the academy and handed over to Caius, and from there… buckle up. These two are damaged, dangerous, and magnetic. The story weaves together forced proximity, stalker energy, and the infamous “Night Hunt Ritual” — all wrapped in the kind of haunting atmosphere that makes it impossible to stop reading.

It’s bold, dark, and a little feral — just how I like my bully romances. Haven Snow delivers a stunning start to what’s sure to be a wild series. I can’t wait to see where Ophelia and Caius go from here.

Unhinged, depraved powerfull gazilionaire secret society with Hunt game i dont understand the rule. The usual spell for greed and crazy people.

Love Ophelia! Her bravery came from her fear mix with pure stubborness. She is not a victim. Not a prey, for she choose her way to stay and fight!

Caius wasnt my man from the get go. He captured me on the end. He was an a$$... Mighty fine, sexy, know his way on the segs time kinda a$$m.. lol...but still an ahole who thinks tradition no matter how bad must be uphold. Thats why how he took the way at the end was the thing that captured me. Caius had me at "i'll die for you" moment.

Overall, i say this is hfn ending? Perhaps their story will bleed out to the next, because their action in this story sure lead out to the next couple.

I received this book as an arc, thank you for giving me the chance to read it.
Phew- I knew it’d be fantastic because every book Haven writes is gold!
In Breaking Ophelia- we have Ophelia who is new to the academy and is only there because her father owes money. Caius is one who doesn’t ask he takes. As soon as he sees Ophelia- it’s over she’s his & he won’t take no for an answer.
Ohh man… Caius… he is just the right amount of stalker, obsessed, & dark. Ophelia- she doesn’t break even though everybody expects that of her. She’s a hell of a lot stronger than I would be.
This book is just the right amount of dark & twisted but also gives you heart eyes lol. I could not put this book down. I think I only did because I was forced too. Haven will always be a must read for me. The way she writes dark romance but makes it still romance is fantastic. You’ve gotta read this.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 rounded down because sometimes I don't get bully romance

A new series by Haven Snow, and I'm all here for it! Breaking Ophelia is the first book in the Feral boys of Westpoint, and is a dark academia, bully romance. Check your TW before diving in, because things get dark pretty fast.

I loved the setting, the ritual, the contrast between Ophelia and Caius. This book had serius L.O.R.D.S. vibes, but a surprising different ending, which was unexpected, but much appreciated. We get a HFN ending, and I hope to see a bit more of Cai and O in the next book.

What didn't work for me was the lack of feelings. I get Caius perspective, why he would do what he did. But I don't get Ophelia, we go from I hate you to I love you, and it's like I completely missed the middle.

Noevertheless, this was a quick, dark and spicy read, and I really enjoyed it.

Breaking Ophelia is set at Westpoint Academy, an elite school for the obscenely rich with strong dark academia and secret society vibes. The story starts a bit slow but the buildup pays off as we follow Ophelia, who’s forced to attend after her father sells her to cover his debts. This academy leans heavily into its dark, dystopian tone, where women are treated more as “breeders” than people, and Ophelia ends up claimed by Caius, one of the Feral Boys and heir to one of the organization’s main benefactors. While the core elements, secret society, ownership, and a ritualistic hunt, feel familiar, the execution feels fresh and engaging, and I found myself fully invested in the intense connection between Ophelia and Caius, especially with her strong, defiant nature that both challenges and attracts him. I’m definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I loved this! It's Ophelia & Caius's story & it was awesome! She's "sold" to a school because of her father's debts & things are not easy there. Caius grew up in a very abusive home & it shaped who he is; she's been through a lot because of her dad's gambling problem & has had to "clean up" after his debts forever. When they first meet neither likes the other, but they are attracted to each other & they both fight it. He was supposed to be her "punishment", but things turned out very differently. He has expectations to fill & she's "chosen" for him. The school has secrets & traditions & if you step out of line things get dangerous. I loved the spice & the story was fantastic! I cannot wait until the next one!

I. Am. So. Hooked.

This was deliciously dark and twisted. Haven Snow knows how to write an intense obsessed man and a resilient FMC. The suspenseful, mysterious, and steamy plot had me eagerly reading with anticipation. I got the gothic academia vibes right away. I couldn't get enough. This is not a sweet love story so be prepared for some unhinged stuff.

Caius and Ophelia had so much tension between them that it was palpable. The steam was steaming hot.

I'm not usually into a bully trope but this one just blew my mind. If you loved The Ritual but hated Sin as I did, you should really try Breaking Ophelia!
O is sold to the academy and starts off as a poor girl who's being signed off to be Cais chosen.
There's dubcon and all sort of shady business but in between the lines you can actually feel how he starts to fall for Ophelia.
If you thought the guys from Stalkers in the woods were mosters, well Feral boys are on a whole new level!
I'm absolutely obsessed with this series and I'm so lucky to have the chance to read these arcs. See you in the next review for Breaking Isolde!

Breaking Ophelia is the first book in this secret society series. This story is about Caius and Ophelia - she had a rough home life, but she didn't let that break her. What I like about Ophelia is that she is a very strong character but smart enough to know when to bend. Caius has to uphold tradition for the Hunt. He doesn't waiver and what is enlightening is that Ophelia finds that he brings out some unknown desires in her. This story contains the following so be sure to check your TW to ensure you get the best reading experience.

🔥Secret Society
🔥Somnophilia - my favorite
🔥Bullying
🔥Hunting
🔥Blood

Looking forward to the next book.

Breaking Ophelia is the first book in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series is a dark bully romance with obsession, stalking, and a ritual known as the Night Hunt. Ophelia has not only been used as payment for her father’s debts, she has become an obsession for Caius. It’s filled with secret society set in an academy where a hunt is their ritual, and Caius will claim Ophelia during it. There’s plenty of spice but it’s also dark and twisted. After reading Snow’s Stalker’s in the Woods series, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book! She is one of my top dark romance authors.

This book has a very dark obsessive theme.

The story is written in 1st person and captures strong emotions. As a reader you’re pulled in the story, as if you were experiencing it yourself.

The characters Caius and Ophelia are strong, intense and there is a rough complicated chemistry between them. I had to catch my breath, reading some dialogues between them.

The hunt, obsession and playing hard to get are crucial in this story.

Nicely written dark romantasy! If you want dark, vivid surroundings and strong characters … you should definitely read this one! 🤩.

Ophelia is sent to Westpoint as a Debt payment; her father owed a debt, and she is the payment.
Caius is the leader of the Feral Boys and the first one to take part in the newly revised Night Hunt.
Ophelia is chosen for Caius's turn at the hunt, but beforehand, he tries to break her, and she is unwilling.
I enjoyed the story and the twists and turns as Caius found his backbone and stood up to the council. He grew to respect and love Ophelia and learned he would do anything to keep her safe.

First things first, read the triggers warnings! So many people don't bother with them and are shocked and upset with what they read. So, bully romance. My current obsession, I have read way too many and always think the next will put me off. Well this book has only enhanced my obsession. Ophelia is head strong and does not make things easy for Caius. Well written, feisty fmc and swoon worthy mmc. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

When Ophelia enters the academy it's meant to be as payment for her dad's debt. I love a good st@lker, obsessive possessive alpha male romance. This also enemies to lovers, secret society and a Hunt. And Ophelia has been chosen for Caius to hunt. He will try his best to break her spirit but she is a strong woman. This intrigues him and makes him more obsessed with her. I love the opposites attract and forced proximity tropes too. This author writes dark romance so well. You should definitely read this one.
