In short, this book was so so deliciously good. Why? So many reasons! The characters were so well-rounded, feel like really people and have great chemistry. Even the side characters, who added more than just being there to 'talk about the romance' or fill a diversity quota - I especially loved Cara, Minnie's mum, for her wonderful one-liners. The spice was spicy, added to the plot/character development, and was treated as a human experience with conversation during and around sex. The writing was so funny at times, just little clever moments that made me grin, and I adored the Britishness.
I know nothing about F1 but that didn't matter. It made for such a great setting and gave a believable reason for why the romance was forbidden. The author clearly knows her stuff - the worldbuilding was so immersive - but it didn't matter that I had no clue. I was hooked immediately.
Great setting. Great characters. A plot that kept me reading, none of the usual romance tropes/faux pas that annoy me, and with just the right amount of spice ... Off Limits was a near-perfect romance novel, and should be on every romance reader’s shelf.
Thank you so much to the angel that is @lucy Cameron for sending me this gorgeous book and goodies 🤭
I had to whack out my dad’s stuff out from working on the grid and I cannot wait for March for the 2026 season to begin! Forever an F1 girlie 🏁
I ate this book up. Lucy your mentions of Faerie smut and shadow daddy’s had me kicking my feet! ESPECIALLY the drop of Morning Glory Milking Farm 😂🤭 the F1 knowledge was perfection, Genuinely felt like I was watching a documentary of behind the scenes and race stats! Obsessed! Even the British staple that is Jeremy Kyle gets a mention 🤭❤️
Jack Bowden - my good god 🫠 this man is a peach. Golden retriever energy … His story with Luca made me cry, big time. He’s amazing. I adore him.
Minnie Robert’s is a beautifully written FMC. She’s funny, she’s witty! She’s bloody adorable! Minus the background with money within the sport 🤭 she’s so relatable and I love that so much!
We HATE BRIAN! 😒
If you’re into F1 I 100% recommend you add this to your tbrs! 🏎️
I need book two tomorrow please Lucy? 😁 this was an incredible F1 romance. 🏁🏎️
What to expect when reading Off Limits; -F1 Driver x Presenter -Forbidden Love -Slow Burn -Forced Proximity -His Hero’s Daughter
In this is book you get to follow Minnie and Jack! Minnie is stepping back into the formula one world. She’s excited and ready for what to come, but will it be welcoming her with open arms? Jack is working on winning his third championship, he can’t worry about distractions because people are ready and waiting to take that title away from him.
If it has anything to do with Formula One, you can guarantee I will be reading it. I came across this book and bought it immediately. I would like to give Lucy high praises when it comes to incorporating more than just the baseline of races into the story. We normally get about 30% racing and then 70% drama, romance spice and everything else that’s good. But I love that the commentary felt like I was actually watching a live race. I wish the non-racing storyline was an choppy with what was going on. I feel like it semi-hindered the main characters chemistry. If I book can make me feel all of the emotions, it’s a good book to me. I really hope there are other books to follow this with other drivers. There’s definitely two I would love to see get books.
Side Note; -faerie smut lol -Her Mom🙌 -the sock melt down -Susie Wolff mention!!!! -Spa day with the boys lol -handstand energy -love Georgie!!!!!

🇮🇹🥞🏆🐶🫶👩❤️💋👨🧘♀️🏎🎇🎀🎙️This was my first F1 romance novel, and it was spectacular ! I couldn't put it down and kept wishing there were more pages because I didn't want it to end. The story revolves around Jack, an F1 driver for Pagari, who is chasing his third world championship. And Minnie, who is a passionate broadcaster for Channel 3 for F1 and eager to prove herself beyond her father's reputation—who is a retired F1 legend. Also The book also delves into her journey of self-discovery as well. Also, the book captivated me because it shows a beautiful relationship between Minnie and Jack, that filled with genuine affection, trust, and support for each other’s careers. This story made me smile and giddy because it emphasizes everything I love friendship, complicated family dynamics, and the unresolved bond between father and daughter. That’s why this book is so amazingly, wonderfully, and unforgettable!
