The unmissable forbidden love, slow burn, jet-setting Formula 1 sports romance, for fans of Simone Soltani and Hannah Grace.

Minnie Roberts is Channel 3’s new F1 reporter—with a lot to prove. Her father might be a racing legend, but she refuses to be labelled a nepo baby—especially by colleagues who don’t want a woman on their team. If she’s going to make it, she can’t afford any distractions.

Jack Bowden is the most successful British driver of his generation, a two-time World Champion chasing his third title. With the competition fiercer than ever, this season will require total focus. But an interview with Minnie sends his head spinning…

In the close confines of F1, avoiding each other proves impossible, and soon their chemistry reaches breaking point. But drivers don’t sleep with reporters. Between biases and leaking trade secrets, they could both get fired if anything were made public.

Breaking the rules has never been so tempting.

In short, this book was so so deliciously good. Why? So many reasons! The characters were so well-rounded, feel like really people and have great chemistry. Even the side characters, who added more than just being there to 'talk about the romance' or fill a diversity quota - I especially loved Cara, Minnie's mum, for her wonderful one-liners. The spice was spicy, added to the plot/character development, and was treated as a human experience with conversation during and around sex. The writing was so funny at times, just little clever moments that made me grin, and I adored the Britishness.

I know nothing about F1 but that didn't matter. It made for such a great setting and gave a believable reason for why the romance was forbidden. The author clearly knows her stuff - the worldbuilding was so immersive - but it didn't matter that I had no clue. I was hooked immediately.

Great setting. Great characters. A plot that kept me reading, none of the usual romance tropes/faux pas that annoy me, and with just the right amount of spice ... Off Limits was a near-perfect romance novel, and should be on every romance reader’s shelf.

Thank you so much to the angel that is @lucy Cameron for sending me this gorgeous book and goodies 🤭

I had to whack out my dad’s stuff out from working on the grid and I cannot wait for March for the 2026 season to begin! Forever an F1 girlie 🏁

I ate this book up. Lucy your mentions of Faerie smut and shadow daddy’s had me kicking my feet! ESPECIALLY the drop of Morning Glory Milking Farm 😂🤭 the F1 knowledge was perfection, Genuinely felt like I was watching a documentary of behind the scenes and race stats! Obsessed! Even the British staple that is Jeremy Kyle gets a mention 🤭❤️

Jack Bowden - my good god 🫠 this man is a peach. Golden retriever energy … His story with Luca made me cry, big time. He’s amazing. I adore him.

Minnie Robert’s is a beautifully written FMC. She’s funny, she’s witty! She’s bloody adorable! Minus the background with money within the sport 🤭 she’s so relatable and I love that so much!

We HATE BRIAN! 😒

If you’re into F1 I 100% recommend you add this to your tbrs! 🏎️

I need book two tomorrow please Lucy? 😁 this was an incredible F1 romance. 🏁🏎️

Jack was lowkey an asshole for about hmm 90% of the book.

This was giving a college situationship where at the end of the day, the man just won’t commit to you. But the in last 5% of all sudden all the bad things he did to her was wiped clean…

It was a cute book, I’d say situationship… F1 version. I love reading about the F1 world so I devoured it in one sitting. It was an interesting concept-both didn’t want to commit due to commitment issues but they acted like a couple for 50% of the book until Jack was like I’m doing everything a BF does but the second you ask what we are and put a label on it I’m leaving. The miscommunication though …

As the leading F1 Romance critic, this wasn’t the worst one I’ve read! The terminology was solid, schedule made sense, and it was clear which fake teams were based on which real teams. However, the main conflict here is that the drivers can’t date the press and uh… Fernando Alonso would like a word.

However, there was WAY too much Chris Brown mentioned throughout the book. I do not care if you acknowledge that he is problematic, just don't make listening to his music a key plot point? Choose another artist?

I have been a fan of F1 for several years and growing up watching the races and being able to chat to a family friend that used to work at an F1 team it made the sport more exciting to me so when I saw this book on Booksagram I knew that I needed to pick this one up to get lost in my own F1 Romance Book!

Pulling up to the Grid in pol position is Jack, He is working on winning his third world championship and he doesn’t have time for distractions in his life as he puts his life on the line every time he races. Role up Minnie she is diving headfirst into the world of F1 being a TV presented on Channel 3’s F1 coverage.

Overall, I loved getting to see the world with both Jack and Minnie’s perspectives and I loved seeing how they both grew over the course of the book and seeing their friendship turn into something steamier!! I must take a moment to say that I loved seeing the side characters adding fun and humour to the book and its clear just how well they all get on, when they put their rivalries to one side. The spice was spicy, added to the plot/character development, and was treated as a human experience with conversation during and around sex.

Huge Kudos to Lucy Cameron, it’s clear that she clearly knows her stuff the worldbuilding was so immersive and I could picture the tracks in my mind and the characters that she has created, it really all came to life in my head. Lucy is clearly a true F1 fan and a superb writer

Off Limits was an ultimate full speed romance novel, and should be on every romance reader’s shelf.

What to expect when reading Off Limits;
-F1 Driver x Presenter
-Forbidden Love
-Slow Burn
-Forced Proximity
-His Hero’s Daughter

In this is book you get to follow Minnie and Jack! Minnie is stepping back into the formula one world. She’s excited and ready for what to come, but will it be welcoming her with open arms? Jack is working on winning his third championship, he can’t worry about distractions because people are ready and waiting to take that title away from him.

If it has anything to do with Formula One, you can guarantee I will be reading it. I came across this book and bought it immediately. I would like to give Lucy high praises when it comes to incorporating more than just the baseline of races into the story. We normally get about 30% racing and then 70% drama, romance spice and everything else that’s good. But I love that the commentary felt like I was actually watching a live race. I wish the non-racing storyline was an choppy with what was going on. I feel like it semi-hindered the main characters chemistry. If I book can make me feel all of the emotions, it’s a good book to me. I really hope there are other books to follow this with other drivers. There’s definitely two I would love to see get books.

Side Note;
-faerie smut lol
-Her Mom🙌
-the sock melt down
-Susie Wolff mention!!!!
-Spa day with the boys lol
-handstand energy
-love Georgie!!!!!

Favorite line:
•”The world champion, kneeling before me”
•”Can we hug it out?”
•”I want to court you”

🇮🇹🥞🏆🐶🫶👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨🧘‍♀️🏎🎇🎀🎙️This was my first F1 romance novel, and it was spectacular ! I couldn't put it down and kept wishing there were more pages because I didn't want it to end. The story revolves around Jack, an F1 driver for Pagari, who is chasing his third world championship. And Minnie, who is a passionate broadcaster for Channel 3 for F1 and eager to prove herself beyond her father's reputation—who is a retired F1 legend. Also The book also delves into her journey of self-discovery as well. Also, the book captivated me because it shows a beautiful relationship between Minnie and Jack, that filled with genuine affection, trust, and support for each other’s careers. This story made me smile and giddy because it emphasizes everything I love friendship, complicated family dynamics, and the unresolved bond between father and daughter. That’s why this book is so amazingly, wonderfully, and unforgettable!

Ah yes, I read through some of the other reviews which is never a good idea when you are about to write yours

HOWEVER

I still stand by the fact I loved this book. I always rate the books I read based on how I am emotionally. Did it make me cry? Yes? 5 stars. Did I laugh? Yes? 5 stars. Did I giggle like I was 15 when they kissed for the first time? Yes? 5 stars.

I am a simply person.

I do agree with the fact that Jack is like a collage guy who the second you want a label on your relationship, he bails but that is the point of him. Both him and Minnie have had terrible experiences in their lives regarding relationships (both being their parents, lmao sames guys). That's why they bonded over their commitment issues.

But anywho, I loved this. Book was good can't wait to read more from Cameron 🥹🫶

Generally I enjoyed the storyline.

The flow knocked it down, a few times I found myself flicking back a page thinking id missed something. You'd be 2 paragraphs in before being told its 3 weeks later.

Some scenes, particularly the spice, was the same. Slightly difficult to follow along with what was occuring as it slightly rushed through it.

The grovelling could of been better, he was forgiven very quickly without much effort after he had been a dick.

Overall I enjoyed the story and glad I read it.

This was pretty cute, I love their chemistry even if it's a bit 0-100 in under 2 seconds. I think this was the first time I've heard "minger" in at least 10+ years...

Thank you so much to Lucy for gifting me a copy of Off Limits, my review/opinions are in no way influenced by being gifted the book.

I absolutely LOVED this, and it honestly is up there with my favourite F1 romance books, which says a lot because I absolutely love f1 and have read a good number of books with the f1 romance theme. Jack and Minnie's story was just fantastic. The dynamic between the two of them was something I really enjoyed reading about. All the past with Minnie's dad was also well integrated into the story and really helped to explain a lot of her feelings and behaviour.

I absolutely adored all the side characters too, Kurt and everyone else were fun components!

If you love F1 then I think you’ll love this book! Sometimes with F1 romances you can tell the author has just watched a season or two of Drive to Survive before starting their book, but not Lucy. It’s clear she has such a good understanding of racing and it makes the book so much better for having realistic race scenes. The love story between Jack and Minnie was beautiful, the way they were both dealing with their past traumas to try and be together is the stuff bookish dreams are made of.
I really hope there are plans for more books in this series because I will be first in line to read them!
