With the wind in her sails and loving both her new relationship and the trajectory of her life, Darby Lovell is on the up, up, up. When things begin to shift her perspective in just about every corner of her existence, she is one very happy bunny as she goes about her life in her beautiful old tumbledown house in the Old Town of Pretty Beach.
We catch up with her as she embraces to the max all that she has built. From her new relationship to her small town pottering in the loveliest little town by the sea to her three daughters, everything is going so very well. She is, in fact, blooming and then some. Not bad for someone who’d thought she’d seen the lowest of the low.
However, just when Darby is floating around on a pink cloud thinking she’s cracked that thing they call life, our good friend the universe thinks it might pop a little bit of a fork in the road. Which is when our Darbs is thrown right off track. Which way is she going to go?
A warmly funny, utterly real story about love, friendship, second chances , and the peculiar courage required to start again when everyone else seems to have it figured out.

All my love from Pretty Beach
I love all Polly Babbington’s books. I have just pre ordered her next one now. I especially liked this little story, it’s all about having love and trust and caring all around you. Darby has had it rough before and her three girls are all in early twenties, living away from home. She is relishing her freedom, a loving relationship. Finished decorating her little house in Pretty Beach and life throws a curve ball!! You just have to read it to feel how it all pans out. I recommend all Polly Babbington’s books. They never fail to make you want to keep reading x

smashed it!
Polly has done it again. Pulled back into the sights and sounds of the idyllic coastal town we have grown to love. I must admit I had never expected that outcome. It was truly heartwarming and filled with so much love. Thanks again Polly and roll on the next chapter in Darbys life. Will we hear wedding bells?

Darby and Archie get a big surprise
This book won't what I was expecting. Its been a lovely story thats gradually built and built. It's just such a lovely one. D'Arcy definitely picked a good one. I can't wait for the next book. Their blended family turned out better than expected.

Cosy up, and enjoy Darby and Archies life in pretty beach.
Wonderful. Highly recommended. Pretty beach envelopes Darby as she lives her life. Polly keeps you invested to the very end.
A joy to read.
Now I hate peach wallpaper, but continue to love tiramisu. No spoilers here. A must read!

my favourite so far
Loved it. I think that this is my favourite Pretty Beach so far x
I wish I liked tiramisu! It would have been perfect. I’m more a cheese, onion and crisp girl. Maybe wine gums and warm blackcurrant squash 😁

Polly has done it again! I loved reading more of Darby's story, the ups, downs and everything in between.

I always enjoy Polly’s books Darby’s books have been up to her usual style I loved every page. Sad now it’s finished can’t wait for the next book now.
