My friend gave me this to take with me to my sister's treatments at the clinic. What a wonderful escape from the grind of daily life to see Bern's breathtaking images and read his delightful writing. There is some Italian in here, which just adds to the overal flavor. It's clear that Bern absolutely loves Italy, and now I do too. The printing is lovely, and the images retain all their style and crispness. My sister and I have sighed working our way through this. The book is a delightful companion for any travels you may take, whether on Eurail, or on your local city bus. As usual my friend new exactly what I needed. What a great gift! I will be buying a few myself to give as holiday presents!
