Last Letter to S

Rate this book
What if a love that began in youth never truly faded?

On a school trip in Germany, a German girl met a French boy.
It was only a moment, a glance, a connection, a spark, but it changed everything.

Decades later, his name surfaces again.
Memories she thought were buried, come rushing the laughter, the silence, the longing, and the kind of love that does not ask to be returned, only to be remembered.

Last Letter to S is a heartfelt memoir about pure love, loss, and the quiet ache of what might have been.
A true story of two souls who crossed paths only briefly, yet left an imprint that time could never erase.

If you have ever loved and lost, if you have ever wondered what if, this book will stay with you long after the last page.

Every time I feel like I'm in a reading slump, I like to change up the genres I'm usually reading to spice things up 🤭
So when A.B presented me the opportunity of receiving a free copy of her book in exchange for my honest review, I excitedly accepted it.
And boy, am I glad I did 🥹
This book is a true story about the author's first true love that never faded - instead it lingered around. The writing is impeccable, the pace never tires you and the way the events are unfolding leaves you yearning for more - just like this love left her yearning for more.
I laughed, I teared up, I ached with her reading this book.
At many instances, I felt such a strong connection to the author and her story because some events reminded me of my own experiences.
It's both a heartbreaking and a heartwarming story at once.
And we as readers get the honour of getting a glimpse of the author's soul. Because what braver thing someone can do other than being vulnerable and open and sharing their soul and heart with the world? ♥️
It felt like we were friends exchanging letters, it wasn't just a story you read. It was a story you feel.
It also had a twist towards the end that had me going from excited to fangirling to being mad then disappointed and then sad. All in a span of a few lines 😱
I also absolutely loved that every chapter had a title -it's something you don't see very often anymore, as well as the fact that it had a playlist matching the vibe of the book.
It was such a great experience reading this and feeling this and I feel grateful for being able to do so ❣️
If you stumble upon this book, do not hesitate to read it. You will not regret it, it's absolutely worth your time - I can assure you 🫶🏼
