2Blood2Lust

Rate this book
2Blood2Lust is the spiritual followon from Bloodlust. Does it follow in chronological order? Kind of. Is it in any way related? No. But, vampires are like family, and aren't they all really related in some kind of way? And what's more important than family? 2blood2lust follows PhD student Oliver, who takes up rental in a Whitby house with a roommate that's more than a little odd. Surely evening dress and pale skin are just 'Whitby vibes' and nothing more...sinister? Will there be blood? Yes. Fast cars and explosions? No. It's about Vampires, but there will be a cat in cape. Will there be s*x? Well, if you can get past the vague story buiding - of course.
Can you expect the over-the-top vampire tropes from Bloodlust? Yes. Even more so.
What, even the inappropriate nightware? Yes - but perhaps less heaving bosoms and more throbbing aubergines.
2Blood2Lust is a M/M spicy romance for adult readers.
Vampires, although sexy and exciting are villains. This book has dark romance elements and trigger warnings should be taken seriously.

You do not need to have read bloodlust for this book to make sense. It is not related in anyway whatsoever.

I was expecting a silly, ridiculous book about a vampire and his eventual human lover, with maybe a side plot and lots of smut. And like, yes, it’s that. But also, it’s incredibly sweet and funny. I wouldn’t have minded a bit more world-building to at least understand how Edward came to be. But I’m happy with what I got.

I’m a sucker (no pun intended) for vampire romances and add in M/M and I’m sold! This was such a refreshing read and it had all the vibes I love and with the pop culture comments to really hit nostalgia and I’m here for it! The tropes and themes here are: roommates/forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine, gay awakening, first experiences, reluctant friends with benefits to lovers, vampire cat, trauma dumping, compulsion/dubcon, vers s3x, lol moments, easy to love characters, darker themes such as suicide talk (vampire wanting to end “life”).

I devoured this book and all I can say is that I want more Le Stat with all the spider monkey you can give!! This was swoony and saucy and I couldn’t get enough.

Thank you for letting me read for you. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

To Blood & To Lust was such a beautifully written and emotionally satisfying follow-up, and I absolutely loved Oliver’s journey in this one. This book isn’t really enemies-to-lovers — it’s more of a complicated, reluctant, slow-shift dynamic between two people forced into proximity, and I actually think that made the story stronger. Watching Oliver and Edward move from discomfort to something deeper gave the book a quiet intensity that really worked.

What stood out the most for me was Oliver coming into his own. His growth felt raw, honest, and painful in all the right ways. This book isn’t just spicy tension and dark atmosphere; it’s Oliver discovering who he is when everything he thought he knew about himself cracks open. I loved watching him finally acknowledge what truly matters to him — his identity, his desire, his autonomy, and the part of himself he’s been afraid to look at for so long.

Edward’s presence in Oliver’s transformation was written so well, too — not rushed, not forced, but slowly pulling Oliver toward a version of himself he was always meant to be.

If I had one wish, it’s simply that the book were longer. I would’ve loved to spend more time watching Oliver adjust to life as a vampire and navigate the emotional and physical changes with Edward by his side. The worldbuilding is rich enough that I could’ve stayed with these characters for another 100 pages easily.

Overall, this was a gripping, intimate, beautifully vulnerable story of self-discovery and dark romance. I devoured it. Five stars, easily.

This was such a great quick read! It’s got total vampire vibes with just the right bit of spice to keep things exciting. I absolutely loved Mittens and his little cat cape. I wouldn’t be mad if he got his own spin-off.

The writing is smooth and engaging, the kind where you sit down for just a chapter and suddenly the book is finished. Well written, atmospheric, and fun definitely one to sink your teeth into 🖤

“I’ll tell you a little secret, Oliver. This is a little bit of fun for me, watching you fight yourself. If I wanted you, I could have you, and you’d be powerless to resist.”

“Please, Edward, anything, I’ll do anything, but I need more. Be rough, Be brutal, use me.”

So this was my first ever MM I’ve ever read and my god it did not disappoint!! I’ve decided that I want to read a book a week and this fit perfectly for today’s ‘Feral Friday’. I couldn’t put it down! I absolutely adored the wittiness of it and how both Edward and Oliver’s personalities bounced off each other as they got to know each other. The sex scenes? *chefs kiss* absolute perfection, super hot and steamy. The ending was absolutely beautiful too. The whole thing is incredibly well written and had me chuckling throughout. If you’re looking for a sexy yet wholesome vampy spooky read just in time for Halloween I highly recommend! 🤍😮‍💨

ARC Review

wow, wow, wow.
my heart is so happy right now.
The fact that I literally felt every emotion while reading this book 🧡 Oliver and Edward are just so perfect.

also, the fact that Edward isn't really that old but lived like he was thousands of years old was hilarious 🤣

Their love will forever live in my heart

I loved everything about this book! and of course Lord Ezekiel Mittens, Prince of Darkenss and Punisher of Souls. I love a vampire cat in a cape.

Overall this book was not exactly my type of book but it was still good. The spice was spicy, the plot was good, there was longing and exploring of sexuality and an almost third act break up (thank you for hard headed men). I think this book was missing something but I am not exactly sure what, but I would definitely read more books from this author.

I've recently been loving vampire stories lately so I was really excited to start this one especially since I've loved what I've read from Clara so far. This book also being MM just made it an even more perfect read for me. I felt like I was watching a movie play out in my mind. This book has the perfect amount of spice mixed with a great compelling plot.

Edward is a lonely vampire who craves company so he places an add in a newspaper for a roommate. Now Edward was “changed” in the 90’s but thinks he needs to act like a vampire from the 1800’s.
Oliver PHD student is living in a family condo and they tell him it’s time to move out. Oliver is a young college student who plays football & doesn’t believe in relationships so he has “fwbs”
When he meets Edward’s he doesn’t know what to think. Then he starts to feel drawn to Edward and that is unexpected.
This was a funny, fun, MM paranormal romance with some gore.

4 stars, smutty and funny. This book does have both light-hearted and more serious moments to it (check TWs), but the overall vibe is funny and the smut was great.

ARC received in exchange for my honest review.
