One night with a stranger was unforgettable. Discovering she’s your mother’s best friend? Complicated...
Harper Langston thought she left her lies at the door of Lavender’s Café- a fake name, a fake age, one reckless night of passion with the most intoxicating woman she’d ever met. No one had to know.
Dr. Carmen Méndez believed it was just one mistake—a rare surrender to desire she’d never allow herself again. Until the new surgical intern walks into Phoenix Ridge…and she realizes the woman in her bed was Harper. Her best friend’s daughter.
Bound by secrecy, pulled by temptation, Carmen and Harper can’t stay away from each other. But crossing that line risks not only their careers, but the one friendship Carmen swore she’d never betray.
How far would you go for the one person you were never meant to love?
Crossing the Line is Book 6 in the Phoenix Ridge Medical series—where passion and high stakes collide. A steamy sapphic medical romance.
OMG Emily Hayes’ story telling gets better each book I read!
Emily has a knack for bringing the emotions out, twisting them and squeezing all the tears and laughter from my soul. I love the people of Phoenix Ridge, their interactions and obvious honesty is just delightful. Carmen and Harper; are so attractive as characters one who has yet to gain their true worth as a surgeon and the other so damaged by past relationship both personal and professional, must overcome huge challenges to finally reach their full potential. It is a beautiful storyline and sits in my heart perfectly.
The meeting the shared laughter into a secret relationship, braking up because of boundaries and being frightened to face the future, but finding the strength of love and commitment to find their forever together life. Another great book from Emily Hayes and hoping for more ❤️ 🌹🌈
