Woken by betrayal, fueled by revenge, and driven by the need to protect.
After a brutal betrayal leaves her and her unborn pup dead, Amy, an Alpha female, is given a second chance at life by a Goddess.
Waking up on her eighteenth birthday, six years in the past, she must navigate a web of lies, master newfound powers, and fight to change her fate. She's determined to get revenge on those who wronged her, but old enemies and new threats lurk around every corner.
Can she survive this new life, and deal with the shifting sands of fate? Or is she stuck repeating the same cycle over, leaving her bleeding out on the table while her mate demands her pups' life?
The story is good. I read the first book & had to have the second one ASAP. I plan on continuing to read these as they come out. However, there are some cons that knocked my rating down to 3 stars.
This story NEEDS a developmental editor. There are way too many times throughout book 1 & 2 that things are repeated, forgotten, or suddenly changed.
The plot is good. This book has the potential to be an amazing story if it were properly edited. I know this one was originally written on a pay-per-chapter site but that doesn't automatically make it a bad story.
Not as good as the first bc there were a few plot holes. A couple of characters were introduced in book 1 (Lynn and Shannon) but were not mentioned at all until towards the end of the book. Like they completely forgot about these characters.
Also certain words or phrases (rabbit or hello rabbit) should be obvious to who a person is (their identity), but it doesn’t click with the FMC Amy, who has been very cunning thus far.
Now what started to annoy me was the fact Amy or the King would have to exert their dominance/aura and the wolves would cower, but then they still talk back? If a strong Alpha is commanding you and telling you to shut up and you cower bc you know they can kill you, then moments later you still think it’s ok to antagonize them as if you forgot you could die. The constant insubordination (bc of the hierarchy) especially towards the King was just off. Why create strong AF characters and not have the lower ranks truly fear them. It just didn’t make sense. Plus the King giving the council so many chances lessened his strength and authority. They were committing treason and yet he still wants to hear them out. That doesn’t sound like a very strong and all powerful King.
Lastly, the fact that the King and Amy haven’t brought up or almost did their wolves names towards each other is not creating the slow burn it was intending. It’s more of a lack of communication trope which I loathe.
All that being said, I will read book 3 when it comes out bc I need to know how it ends. The storyline is interesting and I can’t put the book down, but I feel like the book needed a few more edits/fine-tuning before being published.

Empowered heroine + real plot progress, though dragged pacing and quick resolution keep the action back‑loaded.
Book 2 of Shifted Fate was where I happily discovered the series was available on Kindle. I bought the first two books right away to fully support the author, and was excited to see the third installment would be released within days. Honestly, having the e‑book option felt like such a relief compared to slogging through ads on the serialized app.
Story‑wise, I was glad to see real progress in the plot—something that doesn’t always happen clearly in serialized novels. The author continues to do a great job keeping the main female character independent, even when love interests catch her attention. She remains empowered and inspiring, which is one of the strongest aspects of the series.
That said, the pacing had its frustrations. The main development wasn’t revealed until closer to the end, which made the middle feel more dragged out than necessary. And once the heroine finally uncovered the problem, she solved it almost too quickly, leaving most of the action crammed into the back end of the book.
Even with those issues—and the ongoing grammar, spelling, and editing flaws—I still found this installment satisfying. The heroine’s strength and the story’s forward momentum make it worth continuing, especially now that the whole series will be accessible on Kindle.
I started reading Shifted Fate on the Good Novel app and I have been hooked ever since. I was truly heartbroken for Alicia when she informed her fan base about her personal struggles as well as all of the problems that occurred after Shifted Fate was stolen by multiple sources. As soon as she announced that she was going to release Shifted Fate as a multi book series on Kindle, I immediately preordered the series to give her my support. Keep writing Alicia and I promise to keep reading your books!!! Just an FYI…my username on GoodNovel is IceQueen not Coaster Junkie.
I get bored with series but this one is keeping me engaged. I’m looking forward to Amy focusing on the hacking she needs to learn. I love that she is so clever (most of the time). A couple of obvious things seem to evade Amy and the MMC but I know they will figure things out. I love seeing bad guys and gals getting their comeuppance. That doesn’t happen in enough books for my taste.
waiting for the 30th of Novembre when I can read the 3rd book.... the slow burn is beyond slow....but it is soooo good!!!!!! ahhhhh I am screaming. Rowan, wake up man. You need to woo the Lady. Love the book Alicia. Amazing plot twist, and very fast paced. Usually I found the storyline boring on shifters books, but you got me hooked
A Rip roaring read, was hooked within the first page of book one. A series you can't put down and worth binging in a comfy chair and a hot cuppa... Characters, storyline and pace of book are fantastic. Roll on book 3 and 4.
If you like supernatural with a twist this is a great second book that keeps you wanting more, can't wait for the third installment I'm sure it will be just as excellent as the first 2 books.
This series and series 1has been very hard to put down once I started reading. Every time I think I have the story figured out I am thrown into a new spin and it keeps getting better.
Rivers continues to keep the reader on the edge of their seat. I highly recommend this series. The characters develop and the plot thickens as we proceed to the final book.
