"Oh, this is precious." The voice coming from the sixteen-year-old's throat could have been centuries old. Male, definitely male, with an accent I couldn't place. "They send me a baby exorcist. Tell me, did you even bring the right kind of salt?"
He laughed. The sound was too big for Tommy's throat. "Your Latin is shit, by the way. I can hear you thinking the words and half of them are wrong... Were you sick the day they taught pronunciation?"
I loved this book. A fun and to-the-point quick read. I loved both Sylvie and Maxphas. She was not prepared for the exorcism she had to perform, and the demon prince was bored- gleefully criticizing her Latin and freaking her out- causing her to mess up her incantation, and trap the demon in her own mind instead. I laughed more than not reading this book. I loved Maxphas' personality from his first page and I love this dynamic between them. I wish this was a much longer book! 5 stars
P.S.- I LOVE this cover so much!!
