I’ve had this book written down on my calendar for so long, and I couldn’t wait another day to read it. I’m trying to figure out how to write this review without spoiling the book. But let me just tell you I would get down on my knees for this man too. GOD DAMN 😩😜💕 honestly I loved every minute of this book I may have shared a few tears, but then again I am an emotional sap. But I knew before I even opened this book that I was gonna love it. And it absolutely did not disappoint. I feel like five stars is not enough for this book.

Hannah Cowan always delivers when it comes to real and emotional romance books and this was no exception!

Rowe and Tilly were made for one another! Tilly is our sassy and confident FMC who isn’t afraid to push back. Rowe is our tough, ex con bronc rider MMC who has such a soft spot when it comes to Tilly. The two of them mesh so well and I couldn’t stop reading their story! The tension between the two could be felt through the page and I was obsessed with the “I hate you but I actually don’t” vibes. And of course as always, Hannah’s spicy scenes were HOT AF!!!!

4.5⭐️ for Show Me You Remember by Hannah Cowan

I ATE this one up it was so good! Hannah Cowan has quicky become one of my favorite authors, I'm simply obsessed with her MMCs and Rowe is no exception. The man is fiiiiiiiiiine.

I'd never read an ex-con romance before, but since it was Hannah I knew it would be good, and boy did she deliver. The reason he's an ex-con? Ugh my poor heart, it broke into pieces for these two, but their slow burn reunion glued it back together.

Tilly was such an amazing FMC, the way she's tough and no-nonense, but also deals with depression made her such a well-rounded character, and I loved her temper, especially because it comes out in defense of her loved ones. I loved how this independent girlie let her guard down to let Rowe take care of her in a vulnerable moment, as I always have a soft spot for moments like these.

In true Hannah fashion, the spice was hot, like fan myself hot, and the banter between these two was *chef's kiss*. I honestly don't know anymore if Shade and Millie are my favorites still or of Rowe and Tilly have dethroned them, and I'm so excited for Ash and Lacey's story next!

Thank you to Hannah Cowan for a copy in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.

Dark Past / Forced Proximity / Second Chance / A Hot Ass Cowboy….Need I Say More

Firstly, thank you to Hannah Cowan and team for gifting me this ARC. Now to the review:

As soon as Hannah had posted the tropes for this book I was hooked. The dark past, tattooed and hardened cowboy is a trope I’ve wanted to read for a while but never have. This book was fantastic. The pacing was well done. The secret reason for his jail time was kept for the right amount of time. The only flashback used were well timed and purposeful. And then the tension, PHEW you could feel it off the page. I loved Tilly and Rowe. I really appreciate Hannah Cowan writing a story of imperfections and how those imperfections can still lead to a beautiful life. Rowe’s been dealt a crappy start to life. He’s family is not perfect, he’s not perfect and doesn’t try to even compare to others. He is comfortable acknowledging his mistakes and owns who he is and what he’s done. Tilly has gone through so much herself, but she recognizes that and is working on it. At the same time she is a BADASS, takes no bullshit kinda lady and I wish I can be her when I grow up.

PS the first chapter ABSOLUTELY captures you and you don’t be able to put the book down, BE WARNED!

3.5 🌶️

Show Me You Remember, book 2 of the Oak Point small town romance series, is such a rollercoaster of Tilly serving Beth in Yellowstone energy, tense enemies to lovers, & an emotional second chance romance! My first read of 2026 truly knocked it out of the park!! Tilly & Rowe’s story is one of the best I’ve read in a long while & I truly don’t know what would top it.

Rowe is Tilly’s twin-brother’s best friends, and one of her closest friends growing up. After over a decade of space, silence, and Rowe’s pesky assault charge, Tilly is back in Oak Point, freshly divorced, and fully in her mid-life what-the-heck-am-I-doing mid-life crisis. The pair reunite at the rodeo of all places, cause not only is our hot-as-sin MMC an ex-con cowboy, but he’s also the best bronc rider in the county .. and he’s less than pleased about their reunification.

Gosh there are just so many layers to this story!! I love the flashbacks to their youth, and their tight knit friend group, and the flashes of the characters I’ve come to love from book one!! As far as all brothers best friend tropes go, Ash is such a softy, and I love that he’s not the all macho don’t-touch-my-sister type, deep down he’s rooting just as hard as we are! Speaking of, it’s all thanks to Ash that Tilly finds herself back working for Rowe’s family ranch and living there too, and the close proximity is the last thing the pair want. With more than a decade of time and miscommunication between them, they’re constantly at each other’s throats, and that enemies to lovers tension is just waiting to boil over. But will they survive the time that’s been put in between them, and the years worth of emotional baggage?

Thanks to Hannah for an advanced readers copy of this read, in exchange for my honest review.

tropes: brothers best friend • ex-con • grumpy x grumpy • cowboy • forced prox • “want to” hate to lovers

The thing about Hannah’s writing is it’s raw and real! She doesn’t lean heavily into tropes and aesthetics as plot pushers but writes simply true stories with depth and character complexities. Her characters might be grumpy but they’re also not drowning in that classification.

Rowe and Tilly are hurt, broken, and searching. Because of others, each other, and miscommunication. And this book just simply follows them. To the point, emotional, and captivating.

Rowe and Tilly feel like the same person. In such a good way and they compliment each other so well! Another thing I absolutely loved about this book was the spice! Lately I’ve been a spice skimmer, just get me back to the story. But the spice in this book was meaningful and had powerful, emotional thoughts and character development during it. And it was goooooood. Like good good 🤭

There’s next to nothing I would change about this book! I absolutely recommend Rowe and Tilly’s story if you’re wanting something that hurts and heals and pulls away all the fluff!

Thank you Hannah for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story carried a quiet kind of heartbreak.

Show Me You Remember is a childhood friends to strangers to lovers romance layered with history, hurt, and unresolved feelings. Rowe and Tilly felt like two sides of the same coin, both stubborn, blunt, and deeply impacted by the choices made when they were young.

Rowe is an ex-con cowboy with a lot of anger simmering beneath the surface, especially where Tilly is concerned. That tension was palpable, and watching him slowly soften for her made the emotional payoff worth it.
Tilly presents as tough and guarded, but underneath that exterior is someone who’s been deeply hurt … by Rowe, by past relationships, and by decisions that altered the course of her life. Her vulnerability felt honest and earned.

One of my favorite elements of the story was the inclusion of the letters written during the first months of Rowe’s time in prison. They gave us insight into their connection and slowly revealed the moment that broke Tilly’s heart … a turning point that changed both of their lives. That buildup added so much weight to their story.

A solid, angsty read with emotional depth and a strong sense of longing.

Ohhhh how I loved Tilly and Rowe. If you love Rip and Beth vibes from the show "Yellowstone", then you must RUN and grab this book. Rowe is Rip- just make him straight out of prison, covered in tattoos, protective of his people to a fault, and tough on the outside while being absolute mush for his horses and Tilly Whittman. *SWOON*

"𝘔𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘥, 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘩 𝘵𝘰𝘰. 𝘈𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵, 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘤𝘢𝘵?"

And good gosh I loved Tilly just as much! She is strong, sassy, loves an inappropriate cropped tee, can hang with the ranch boys. She also is home after a brutal divorce and trying to figure out what she really wants from life.

"𝘞𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘰𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘸𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘻𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵."

Hannah Cowan always writes characters and banter that suck me in and don't let go until the very end. Her books are absolutely bingeable but also so special that I think about them long after I finish reading. She also knows how to balance spice and plot in the most perfect way. (which ya'll know is a MUST for me.) She nailed it YET AGAIN with this one. Loved it!

Tilly was such an amazing FMC, the way she's tough and no-nonsense - whatever Rowe gave, she pushed back 10x harder. But how Cowan's writes her with dealing with depression made her such a well-rounded character. I loved her temper, especially because it comes out in defense of her loved ones. I loved how this independent girlie let her guard down to let Rowe take care of her in a vulnerable moment, as I always have a soft spot for moments like these.

I loved Rowe! He's so gruff and stubborn, but how he softens around Tilly (eventually) is so lovely to see. He's the first ex-con cowboy that I just wish I could pull out of a book. And the reason for him going to prison was so swoony and sexy. He is quiet, guarded, and carrying so much weight from his past. He’s not loud about his feelings, but the way he shows up… the restraint, the protectiveness, the way Tilly clearly still owns his heart…absolutely destroyed me.

While I love a spicy book, this shows that there is more substance with their relationship which makes me appreciate it even more.

As I am slowly approaching my 30s, I love characters in their 30s. I feel like I can relate to them even more so that a character in their early 20s.

I’ve been excited for Rowe and Tilly’s story since they were mentioned in book one, and it did not let me down. I was hooked right away and tore through it. The past/present timelines were so good. I’ve been dying to know what went down between them.

Tilly is my new obsession. She’s strong, blunt, hilarious, and I loved how fiercely she went after what she wanted… especially Rowe. And Rowe? Peak grumpy cowboy who only softens for her. He’s just as possessive and obsessed, which made their dynamic even better.

Their chemistry was unreal. The tension, the history, all of it just worked. I loved reading their story so much.

I am obsessed with Tilly and Rowe. I needed to know their story so I was so excited for this book! Tilly was sassy, fiery, and possessive and I loved it. Rowe tried to act tough and that he didn’t need her but she knew how to push his buttons and he couldn’t resist. They are both broken but are truly the only ones that could help each other heal. Also the spice!! ❤️‍🔥 I can’t say enough good things about this book!

I was lucky enough to get to read these 2 early and oh. My. GOD. Hannah has outdone herself, Rowe and Tilly are truly my favourite couple she's ever written. We love two broken people leaning on each other for healing. Getting their second chance at love? Tilly's dedication to short-shorts and sassy t-shirts? Rowe's tough-as-nails exterior that hides a secret cinnamon roll under that rib cage?! PLEASE.

These two had me crying, laughing, panting, sweating, you name it. Get these 2 into your eyeballs IMMEDIATELY!

Synopsis
Rowe Carrigan learned the hard way what loving a woman costs. He lost his freedom, his future, and the girl he would give everything for, his best friend’s twin-sister.

Tilly Whittman promised herself she would never return to Oak Point. But when the world unravels, she finds herself back at Painted Sky, face to face with the cowboy who has never forgiven her for leaving.

They were never officially together. Never allowed to be. Yet the bond they share refuses to fade, simmering beneath sharp words and stolen glances. Rowe thinks Tilly is trouble. Tilly knows he is right.

As old feelings reignite and secrets refuse to stay buried, they are forced to confront whether the love they were never supposed to have is worth the risk again.

My Thoughts
Just when you think this series cannot possibly get any better Hannah decides to give us Rowe and Tilly and somehow it turns into absolute perfection all over again.

Show Me You Remember is the second book in the Oak Point series and while it is an interconnected standalone but do yourself a favor and start with Show Me How the story of Shade and Millie. The emotional payoff is just so much richer when you already know this world and these characters.

Rowe going to prison to defend Tilly after her ex leaked her sex tape was everything. If that does not scream I love you in the loudest most unhinged way then I truly do not know what does. The letters they wrote to each other while Rowe was in prison absolutely wrecked me in the best way. They were emotional raw and full of longing. And then there were Otis’s letters which were so unexpectedly sweet and wholesome that they had me smiling through tears. Also that lake scene. Oef. I really do not think I need to say more.

As a horse girly through and through the ranch setting had my entire heart. Reading about a place where horses are treated with care respect and patience always restores a little bit of my faith in humanity. Wraith especially stood out to me. Watching Rowe work with a horse that had been through something so traumatic and slowly help him heal was incredibly moving. In so many ways Rowe and Wraith mirrored each other. Both broken both lost and both needing time patience and understanding to find themselves again.

That same patience is what eventually helped Rowe find his way back to Tilly. She was a spooked horse herself after having her heart shattered by him. She ran all the way to Nova Scotia married Ethan who turned out to be a complete douche and very obviously nothing more than a placeholder for the love of her life. The push and pull between Rowe and Tilly was intense emotional and at times heartbreaking but once they finally found their way back to each other there was absolutely no stopping them.

I am so invested in these two and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them as the series continues. Unfortunately that means waiting until the end of this year for Ash and Lacey’s story and the patience that is required for that feels almost cruel. But if Hannah keeps delivering stories like this it will be more than worth the wait ✨🤍

5/5⭐️ 2/5🌶️

Wow. This book was filled with raw, painful moments, yet somehow all the anger, rage, heartbreak, and grief Hannah delivered made me fall completely in love with these two characters.

We only got a small glimpse of Rowe in book one, but he did not disappoint. He’s angry, gruff, rough around the edges, and heartbreakingly lost after years of self-hatred, blame, and emotional isolation. And yet, he’s gentle and patient with the horses he works with, a softness that carries over to Tilly. Fiercely protective and possessive, it’s easy to see how his rage once landed him in prison. What I loved most is that while Tilly is the source of much of his anger, she’s also the only person who can help him face and work through it.

Tilly was next-level from the start. Her reluctant return to Oak Point finds her lost and carrying her own anger and pain. Ash’s attempt to “help” forces her into confronting a past she’s desperately avoided, allowing us to see Tilly in an entirely new light. She’s battling rage, hurt, and grief of her own while desperately hoping the darkness doesn’t consume her. Being forced to work with Rowe was the last thing she wanted—but it ended up being exactly what she needed to truly heal.

The venom these two spit at each other was intense. At times, it was hard to believe they were ever friends, let alone had deeper feelings. Years of dishonesty, miscommunication, and silence led them straight to where they are now. Despite all of that, the chemistry between them was undeniable, and I loved how that tension eventually translated into something physical and deeply emotional.

I’m already excited for book three. I have my trope predictions—but I’ll keep those to myself for now.

The grumpy vs grumpy romance I couldn’t put down! Tilly and Rowe dominated Oak Point, and it was the best trip I set my sights on.

There was so much emotion for these two; but the events that led them on separate paths was gut-wrenching. I’m a Rowe girl. His past didn’t define him, even when his actions caused others to judge him, and make their own definitions as to who he was — and who he currently is when he was released from prison.

Tilly dealt with three betrayals in her life — one at the hands of a vindictive ex-boyfriend; the second because of a lie she accepted as truth from the best friend who defended her from her ex, and once again at the man who’s hand she took in marriage. This woman was justified in her emotions and lack of trust. She didn’t take someone’s actions lightly and she watched others cautiously — almost as if to wait for the other shoe to drop.

The love to hate you emotions ran rampant through this whole book, and Hannah putting the letters between Rowe and Tilly as an open invitation as to how their feelings gradually deteriorated after the events that led to Rowe being pulled from his friends and family.

I love a good spicy romance and these two had so much of it, they could cause a fire. It was more than mere angry sex between two sparring lovers; it was a passionate wanting. A wanting to prove that neither one of them could deny what was there between them ions ago.

I love the representation of the horses on the Painted Sky ranch. Readers will see the minute you see Tilly’s POV and that of Rowe’s.

I am looking forward to Ash and his story with Lacy. Plus, more of Tilly and Rowe, plus Shade and Millie is the added bonus.

Tilly swore she was never going back to Oak Point, but when her life falls apart, she finds herself back at home. Rowe didn’t think she would ever come back home, but now she is, and she seems to be everywhere. When his dad gives her a job on the ranch, she is everywhere. They must confront the pain of the past before they can move forward. They must decide if they can forgive the past and move forward, together.

This book wrecked me in the best possible way! I loved Rowe and Tilly and every single page.

Rowe and Tilly’s journey back to each other was everything I love in a second chance romance. Their connection felt raw and real, with nothing about their journey feeling polished or perfect. Hannah Cowan captures the messiness of love, heartbreak, and healing in a way that had me feeling every emotion right alongside these characters. The authenticity of their struggles and their love made this story incredibly powerful.

What I appreciated the most was how meaningful everything felt. Every conversation, every glance, every touch carried weight and significance. The chemistry between Rowe and Tilly was absolutely electric. You could feel the history, the longing, the undeniable pull they had toward each other on every page.

But what truly elevated this book was how they worked through their past rather than glossing over it. Too many second chance romances skip past the hard conversations and moments, but not this one. Rowe and Tilly faced their pain, their mistakes, and their hurt head-on. They communicated, they grew, and they fought for each other in a way that felt real.

This is a second chance romance done right. If you want a story that will make you feel everything, the heartbreak, the hope, the healing and the love, pick this up immediately. Phenomenal. Thank you to the author for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.

Show Me You Remember by Hannah Cowan emotionally wrecked me, rebuilt me, and then wrecked me again for good measure.

Rowe and Tilly are the definition of unfinished business. The kind of couple that never really let go…they just learned how to live with the ache. Every interaction between them is heavy with history, regret, and all the things they never got closure on, and you can feel it in every single scene.

Rowe is quiet, guarded, and carrying so much weight from his past. He’s not loud about his feelings, but the way he shows up… the restraint, the protectiveness, the way Tilly clearly still owns his heart…absolutely destroyed me. And Tilly? She’s strong, emotional, and vulnerable in a way that felt painfully real. Watching her balance loving Rowe while protecting herself from getting hurt again was everything.

The chemistry between them simmers. It’s all tension, longing, and that stomach twisting awareness of how much they still matter to each other. This isn’t just a second chance romance, it’s a can we survive remembering everything that broke us the first time romance. And that emotional depth? Hannah Cowan does it so well.

I loved that the story didn’t take shortcuts. Rowe and Tilly had to actually face their past, their pain, and the damage done before they could move forward. The healing felt earned. The love felt real. And the small town Oak Point setting just made everything hit harder…because when everyone knows your history, there’s nowhere to hide from it.

If you love:
• second-chance romance with real emotional weight
• unresolved tension and quiet yearning
• protective MMCs who feel deeply but say little
• couples who never stopped loving each other

this book will absolutely ruin you (in the best way).

In the first chapter, I was hooked. Tilly is a strong, independent woman who literally says what she is feeling. Rowe is a man of few words but he does not pussyfoot around, he’s straight to the point. Tilly and Rowe together, what a power couple.

These two in this book was everything I needed and all of my questioned answered from Show Me How. Tilly and Rowe may not see eye to eye after everything that’s happened but these two are inevitable.

I love the way this story unfolded in bringing the past and the present together. We love a man who doesn’t want to change his woman in the least bit. When Hannah Cowan said these two were going to possessive of each other, she was not playing around in the least bit.

The tension building in this was just right, it was slow but steady and once it hits, it HITS. The spice was absolutely fabulous. A big cowboy covered in tattoos that likes to give hand necklaces? Absolutely, give me 10. But a woman who can match him, perfection. It was intense in the best way bc these two characters are intense.

This book was just intense in the sense that you could tell these characters harbored deep feelings towards each other for so long, it turned into something else for a while. This book is a journey of finding their way back to one another but also fighting each other with words along the way.

Thank you to Hannah Cowan for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is Book 2 of the Oak Point series!

I was lucky enough to receive as an ARC 🥰

Show Me You Remember is raw, aching, and emotionally charged — the kind of small-town romance that sits heavy on your chest and refuses to let go. Hannah Cowan delivers a story drenched in longing, regret, and the kind of love that never really fades, no matter how much time passes.

Rowe Carrigan sacrificed everything to protect Tilly Whittman — his best friend’s little sister — and paid for it with years of his life. Prison hardened him, but it never erased the girl who haunted him long after she disappeared without a word. He made peace with her absence… or so he thought.
Until she comes back.

Tilly returns to Oak Point with her life in pieces, determined to rebuild even if it means facing the man she never stopped wanting. The man who looks at her like she’s both his biggest mistake and the only thing worth breaking for. Their connection was never official, never allowed — but it left scars that time couldn’t heal.

Every shared space, every sharp word, every brush of fingers is loaded with history. The tension is thick, the pining is painful, and the emotional stakes feel devastatingly real. This is a story about unfinished business, unspoken love, and two people circling the truth they’ve always known.

Angsty, intimate, and deeply satisfying, Show Me You Remember is a must-read for lovers of small-town cowboys and second-chance longing. 🤍🐎

I FLEW through this book. Hannah Cowan delivers another emotionally rich story that’s raw, gripping, and impossible to put down. The rugged cowboy with a complicated past pulled me in immediately, but it’s the emotional damage that really sealed the deal.

Rowe and Tilly’s shared history bleeds into every interaction. Years of distance, miscommunication, and unresolved pain create nonstop tension and an undeniable pull. This second-chance romance refuses to take the easy way out. The hard conversations happen, the healing is messy, and the growth actually feels earned.

Tilly is such a strong, layered FMC. She’s independent, sharp-tongued, and fiercely loyal, while still working through her own struggles in a way that felt painfully real. Rowe is quiet, guarded, and carrying the weight of his past, yet deeply protective and devoted in the ways that matter. Together, their connection is intense, emotional, and rooted in everything they never got closure on.

The emotional moments hit hard. The sacrifices, the letters, the slow unraveling of their walls… chef’s kiss. The banter is sharp, the spice is emotional and hot, and every scene feels intentional.

This story hurts, heals, and wrecks you in the best way. I finished the book in record time, then proceeded to stare at my wall for far longer trying to recover and string together a single functional thought for this review.

Tropes: brother’s best friend • ex-con • grumpy x grumpy • cowboy • forced proximity • second chance • “want to” hate to lovers

Happy release day to Tilly and Rowe!! Truly may be my favorite couple of Hannah’s but I do love them all!

Tropes:
- Cowboy Romance
- Brother’s Bestfriend
- Forced Proximity
- Childhood bestfriends
- Small Town
- I want to hate you to lovers

I don’t even know where to start, the addiction to this book, Rowe, and Tilly is real. No surprise but I ate this book up, Hannah delivered with the spice, emotion, and two complex characters who are hurting and searching for answers until they finally find those in each other.

Tilly returns home after years of being away after leaving her husband. Rowe never thought he’d see her again after that one night that changed his life forever, but now she’s back, on his ranch, and he can’t escape her.

These two wrecked me. Their journey back to each other was raw, emotional, but in the end, healing. It was not easy whatsoever, but from each glance and touch, you quickly realized how electric their connection was.

The pain was inescapable, but these two faced it head-on. In order to heal and move forward from the past, they had to fight and communicate and that’s what they did. There was no glossing over the facts and I loved that emotional depth Hannah provided (did I mention they wrote letters to each other while he was in prison…yup cue the tears 😭)

This book will possibly ruin you, but it’s also one of the best books I’ve ever read so I definitely recommend checking it out. Thank you Hannah for the arc! You already know, you’re stuck with me forever 🤪🥰

Oak Point vice grip

This story completely consumed me from the very first chapter. Rowe and Tilly’s journey is intense, emotional, and impossible to put down. What begins as a brother’s best friend romance is layered with years of shared history, childhood friendship, and a past event that altered both of their lives in ways neither of them fully healed from.

When Tilly returns to Oak Point after leaving her marriage and unexpectedly ends up working on Rowe’s ranch, the tension is immediate and undeniable. Forced proximity pushes them to face unresolved emotions, buried pain, and feelings neither of them ever truly let go of. Their connection is magnetic, filled with sharp banter, quiet vulnerability, and moments that are both tender and fiery. The chemistry between them is undeniable.

Tilly is a dynamic, relatable heroine. She is bold, impulsive, and fiercely independent, yet deeply human in her flaws and growth. Rowe’s protectiveness and emotional restraint add another layer of depth, especially as his fear of hurting her battles against how much he cares. Watching them learn to communicate, confront the past, and choose healing together made their romance feel raw, earned, and deeply satisfying.

Heart-wrenching, passionate, and beautifully written, this book delivers emotional depth, unforgettable characters, and a small-town cowboy romance that lingers long after the final page. Oak Point continues to shine, and I am already eager for what comes next. 🤍🔥

We all know that I am a huge fan of Hannah and I will read whatever she writes. I love how she fully leant into her desire to write a broody cowboy and a strong bad ass woman. Rowe and Tilly very much gave me Rip and Beth vibes from Yellowstone and that just made it all a little sweeter. Their teasing and somewhat pointed cometary turned banter just hit in all the right spots. Even after such a long time of seeing one another there was no denying their enviable chemistry.

I have been desperately waiting to know Rowe’s story when he was first introduced in Show Me How and it was such a refreshing take. How he reacts to both the horses in his care and to Tilly in someways shows the softer side to his grumpy exterior - they are the only ones who get to see. As for Tilly, she came out swinging and her personality reminds me of lot of my bestie. She feels so much and needs just a little extra time to process her emotions but her bite can hurt just as much as her bark if you’re on the wrong side of her.

I loved being back in Oak Point. While there are certain characters who will remain nameless that I am a little cheesed off with (I’ll forgive them eventually) I cannot wait to bare witness to all the YEARNING that is going to undoubtedly come in book 3!

As always Hannah’s written a fantastic book and I loved every second. I am always in awe of the HC universe and I love seeing all the connections and threads and mentions of other places. I loved seeing Millie and Shade again and I loved seeing little crumbs for who the next book in this series could be about. And I love that in the last book we got to see the smallest things about Tilly and Rowe and how it all came together in this one.

Tilly and Rowe are everything to me?? Rowe is simply rough and tough cowboy who loves his girl. Like LOVES HIS GIRL. And will LITERALLY do anything for her. And Tilly!!! I love an angry girl, I love a girl who takes no shit from anyone doesn’t apologize for the way she is!! I also really appreciated the way Hannah wrote Tilly’s anxiety and depression, how she struggled with the simple fact that she dealt with it on a day to day basis but that it was just how it was and like everything else she wasn’t going to apologize for it.

This isn’t a second chance by any means, but they are finally getting their chance and they aren’t letting go. And it just was SO good! AND THEYRE SO HOT!

Also I can’t wait for the next book in this series - obviously 😂 and I also know what other things Hannah has up her sleeve and I am EXCITED for another black FMC let me tell ya!!!! We love a manhater okay!!
