At the age of fifteen Victoria had been forced to marry Randall Steele, a harsh and brutal man. After enduring Randall's abuse for five years, Victoria made her escape to San Angelo, Texas to begin a new life. A year after arriving in San Angelo, she is now the owner of the Dry Gulch saloon and doing well for herself and soon a lone cowboy, Kody Parsons, will enter her life and throw her resolve to keep men at arm's length out the window. While Victoria and Kody grow close, they are both unware that Randall has found her and he is determined to bring her back home and nothing or no one was going to stop him.
Severely short and rushed. The plot line could be good, with more drawing out and more plot development. This is a four book series and I don’t think I’m going to waste my time on the rest of the series. Each book is like 20 pages long and I have a feeling the same writing style is going to continue.
