Indian Country: The Copper Twin Mine

Rate this book
In the sequel to the Amazon Best Selling Novel, Indian Missing, Deputy Sergeant Mike Taylor is led to assist his Native American neighbors when a vision at sweat lodge intrigues him. The outside mining company brought in to open up the old Copper Twin Mine causes ripples across the pond of daily reservation life, pitting modern Native American politics against Traditionalist values. Newly assigned non-sworn Missing Persons Investigator Veronica Likes Pretty Dresses has her hands full just learning her new job when a massive cold case involving not only several missing and murdered girls, but one hitting very close to home for the Pine County Sheriff himself, lands in her lap. Sworn to secrecy, Carol McBride assists her in attempting to resolve the cases.

Sergeant Taylor is pushed to his limit when a Tribal Police Officer goes missing, leading to a powerful showdown between opposing parties.

Author Michael Max Darrow uses current events in Native America and his experiences in both Law Enforcement and Lakota spirituality to weave an intricate tale of tribal politics, apathy, and death.

The blend of law enforcement and cultural interactions by an author that brings depth to this story.

Darrow's INDIAN COUNTRY series is a gripping and thought provoking look at the complexities of law enforcement and Native American culture. With its well crafted and timely themes, it's a must read for fans of police procedural thrillers and anyone interested in the intersection of justice and culture.

This is the third book in the INDIAN COUNTRY series. It can be read as a standalone, however, the series is so exciting, do not miss out.

Good read with interesting characters.

I really like this series. The characters are interesting, and there is good interaction between them. I also like the police interaction between the officers and Native Americans. I like learning the customs and different views of the people on the reservation. I am looking forward to the next book, with the outcomes of investigations and election follow-up. It's a very good read that has you wanting more.

Great Series

Good plotting and character development. Lakota and First Nations information and details respectfully written, integral to the plot and characters — and very interesting. Another top notch book in a great series. Next please!
