A thriller that will leave you wondering not only what is possible, but also who is responsible for stopping it.

Find out in the thriller, Conspiracy: Population Elimination.
I found Lucian on Twitter, which happens to be where I find a number of new authors. He ran a special, offering his book for free on Amazon one week and I decided to give it a try. I love thrillers and was not disappointed after reading this book. Quick pace, interesting characters, and a hostage scene with a comedic twist that rivals anything I’ve read or watched on the big screen.
A terrifying tale that is a "could happen" scenario, especially given the world's current struggles against extremists.
This book focuses on environmental extremists.
A new strain of an already deadly virus is once again ravaging the cradle of the human race in Africa. As with all things in nature with every deadly force there is a counter force. The answer in this tale is a young woman who’s honored the traditions by caring for her mother as she fights the illness that has wiped out most of their village.
An effort made all the more remarkable when you learn how Nyah, the daughter, was treated by this same woman. It's only the arrival of soldiers that force her to leave. The threat of endless rape and eventual murder is more than enough motivation to force Nyah to flee.
The soldier’s mission is to destroy any and all villages that show signs of this new illness, including all people, infected or not. Word of this must not reach the outside world.
Nyah heads to the capital knowing that the soldiers would never attack the city. She is also looking for the western doctors whom she believes need to know about the sickness spreading through the villages so that help can be brought in from around the world.
Dr. Jones has been working to help the poor and sick in this part of the world and when she hears Nyah's tale she realizes the implications and immediately contacts her boss. Her boss is not who you'd expect and their goal is far from some humanitarian mission.
Ed Lawrence is a specialist. He specializes in getting things done and he specializes in not asking questions. He is soon dispatched to Africa to collect Dr. Jones and her special package. No one counted on a coup and things get interesting fast. Ed will be earning his pay.
The discovery has set in motion various factions across the country but none more important than at Harvard. The famed Ivy League school, like nature holds the cause and the cure.
Grad student Xavier Fisher is hard working and as dedicated to his work as his unwillingness to pay full price for beer. As a cash strapped student with nothing but hard work and mounting loan debit in his immediate future he is easy prey for those with evil intentions. With Fisher on board the conspirators plans should be done in no time.
They hadn't expected that the jealousy of another, more senior grad student would ensure that all their well laid plans will be thrown out the window and accelerate the time table dramatically.
A great cast of characters who battel a host of madmen and woman who believe that the ends justify the means. The master minds of this plan have the money, influence, and support to ensure the death of billions of people. It's only the tenacity of Fisher and others that can save the human race.
Crime thrillers are not usually my choice as they’re usually more mystery than thriller but I couldn't put this book down. The author keeps the thrills pumping with some terrifying situations and at the same time injects humor in that had me laughing and shaking my head. While the characters are not complex people with long back stories the author gives more than enough information to understand them. Ed is a great example and also a missed opportunity. It wasn't what was said about or by the character but what wasn't said that made him one of the most
interesting characters for me in the book. I really think the author left a lot of meat on the bone with regards to Ed.
There's not a reason I wouldn't recommend this book to other readers of this genre or even action thriller fans.
Full disclosure, I was provided a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Imagine, you may be partly responsible for the potential elimination of 90% of the population of the world. What if you could try to stop it? Would you? How far would you go to rectify your error?
These are some of the questions facing Xavier Fisher, a PHD student in Genetics at Harvard. Tasked with a research project by the head of the Genetics department, Fish unwittingly becomes a pawn in a plot to unleash an "Ebolaesque" super virus on the face of the planet. If successful, the virus will eliminate 90% of the world's population. Fisher is alerted to the deception by a fellow grad student and the two set off to expose the plot and stop the rich and powerful people involved.
From the opening scenes in a remote village in Africa all the way to the tense conclusion almost half a world away,Lucian weaves an intricate tale of action, suspense and intrigue in what has got to be one of the most thought provoking scenarios I have read recently. There was a good balance of action and light hearted moments that developed the characters and kept my interest without the whole thing becoming one dark, tense doom fest. The premise of a super virus unleashed to thin out the population and basically "reboot" society is one of those situations that could eventually come to fruition.
Minor edits aside, overall this was a fast paced, enjoyable read from an author that is new to me and one that I would like to read more of in the future.
OMG! This book is an amazing read! I was hooked from page 1 and I could not put it down! The storyline is believable and thrilling! I read this in just a couple of days. Lucian, you did not disappoint! BRAVO!!
