Mack is a former military man who is assigned to protect supermodel Indigo. Someone is trying to harm her but Mack takes his job very seriously, plus he vows to never fall for a client. But the forced proximity and lingering heat between them say otherwise. I loved this fun, entertaining, high heat novella. They were an unlikely couple but matched up nicely.

I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did, but it completely won me over. Indigo is a lingerie model in need of a bodyguard after a recent stalking incident, while Mack takes the job because he desperately needs the money. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for the very woman he’s supposed to protect.

Despite her glamorous job, Indigo is far from shallow or naïve. She’s become skilled at pretending the stalking doesn’t affect her, but Mack sees through the act almost immediately. Even under pressure, she manages to stay composed on the outside, despite the fear and anxiety she’s hiding internally. That strength made her such an easy character to root for.

The romance between Indigo and Mack develops in such a sweet and entertaining way. Mack is incredibly grumpy toward her for most of the book, but it’s obvious his attitude is just a cover for the feelings he’s trying hard to suppress. Their dynamic creates a lot of cute moments, and the chemistry between them feels natural and engaging.

The book itself isn’t very long, but it’s interconnected with another series, so readers unfamiliar with the Hawthorne brothers books might feel a little confused at first. The ending also leaves off on a slight cliffhanger, since there’s still a larger mystery waiting to be solved. Even so, it was such an enjoyable read, and now I’m genuinely excited to continue the series.

As a steamy fake dating, forced proximity, bodyguard romance it is ideal for a couple of hours of escape.
The plot and storyline, that includes some action, suspense and drama, a grumpy alpha hero, and a sassy and sunshiny supermodel, was engaging.
Lyric, a supermodel needing to resurrect her career, comes to Cupid City for a lingerie showcase despite dealing with an escalating stalker.
Cupid City's Heartline Security Company assigns Mack Hawthorne, a grumpy ex military bodyguard to protect her through strict plans, protocols and importantly never falling for the client.
Lyric is determined to get her career back on track and clashes with Mack in both steamy and sometimes amusing ways.
The growing attraction to one another is inconvenient and Lyric pokes the growly Mack despite the ever present danger ensuring their chemistry sizzles making Mack's need to keep things professional more and more difficult.
The steamy and spicy moments and witty banter between Mack and Lyric, as well as the mystery of the stalker, had me hooked and turning the pages right through to see how their HEA comes about.

Will these two be able to not only survive the tension between them but the stalker that is after Indigo?
Logan brings it in this one. A grumpy alpha who can make danger blink first. Protection that turns into devotion. Romcom banter, romantic suspense, edge of your seat page turning moments that will have you wanting more. Can I get a bodyguard like Mack? This was a romantic comedy with real danger that I could not put down.

Indigo is a model and she's finally got her big chance. But someone wants her dead. Who better to help than a man used to dealing in situations like hers? An ex-military bodyguard, that's who.
Mack isn't looking forward to babysitting a diva model. He has another case, a more personal case, to get back to. The best disguise would be to play the fake boyfriend, that way no one would question their close quarters. Plus he hates being in Cupid City, it looks like Valentine's Day threw up. But he has to admit that she's a beautiful but sassy distraction.
The man that's after her turns up everywhere and after spending time with her, he no longer sees her as an assignment but sensitive and real.
There's anger as well as heat between them and after one too many sassy words from her, neither of them can control what's between them any longer.
She's his now and whoever wants to do her harm has to go through him.
This is a read where things progress really fast with intense heat but it's a good read. Ends in a HFN.

This is part of a 10 book Cupid City Security series and the book by Logan Chance. It is short but sweet being just over 100 pages. As with any short story/novella, it is fast paced and moves quickly, maybe just a tad too quickly but I still enjoyed it.
Indigo is a model about to do the show that will re-start her career but someone out there wants her career over. She has a stalker and they are escalating. Enter Mack, the former military man now part of a highly sought after security team, hired to keep Indigo safe. Of course her stalker is not deterred and the danger grows as things heat up between these two. The grumpy guard finds it hard to keep his professional boundaries intact and neither can fight the obvious fire that burns between them. The mystery grows along with their attachment to each other.
This is a short steamy romance wrapped inside a suspense novel. Ultimately, I would have loved more but that is just how a short story works. I will have to read the follow up book to see what happens next with Mack and Indigo. I would still recommend picking this up for a quick enjoyable read.

I was excited to dive into this story that introduces the next Hawthorne brother, Mack. The series, A Cupid City Security Romance, includes 10 books by 10 different authors and Logan Chance brings the heat, danger and heart to the runway stage!

The book starts off with a confetti bang that has glitz and danger with a single focus on Indigo, a supermodel with a stalker that is escalating. Mack's mission is to be her bodyguard/fake boyfriend to locate and neutralize the threats. Mack is a follow protocol, grumpy, protective alpha and Indigo is feisty, sassy, and driven to break the rules. They find themselves in close proximity with one bed and the tension simmers between them as they circle each other while the stalker draws closer.

A twist at the end involving the Hawthorne family adds another element that has me intrigued for the next story and where the mystery will lead them.

I really enjoyed this entertaining quick read that pulls you in from the start, a well written storyline, action, intrigue, instant attraction with hot sexy encounters and HEA!

This is the story of Mack Hawthorne who is one of seven brothers. So far each of the brothers has had their stories told as parts of entirely separate series. The eldest brother, Nash Hawthorne begins the saga in Wrangling With The Bodyguard as part of Lone Star Security Romance series. Next up is Crewes Hawthorne in Guardian On Base (my personal favorite so far) which is part of the Hearts on Base series. This book is Mack Hawthorne’s story and it is part of the Cupid City Security Romance series.
This was a good, fun Valentines themed romantic comedy with some action and suspense. In the end, Indigo (love the name Indigo Lyric) and Mack only get a HFN (happy for now) ending 🙁 as the underlying cliffhanger from the previous books continues. This was a quick read, and I can’t wait for the next Hawthorne brother’s story.

Logan Chance has delivered a well written suspenseful action filled spicy romance with some cute banter, that just may deliver a few twists along the way. I loved this story from the very first word. I didn’t want to put it down.

Mack thought he took an easy job of protecting supermodel Indigo when she comes to Cupid City to model, but finds out it is a little more complicated when petals begin to fly. As he protects her the lines start getting blurred and they find that Cupid City just might be their downfall..Rules are made to be broken! Grab your favorite Valentine candy and enjoy reading their story. You will fall in love with Mack and Indigo along the way. You won’t be disappointed.

I would recommend you don't wait and read this one today!

He follows 3 rules: plans, protocols and never, ever fall for the client. Though he did not plan for Indigo to break all his rules.

As threats escalate, 2 possible targets and romantic interludes, the real bombshell drops during the lingerie runway show.
The banter is romcom worthy, intense suspense and the best thing is to do is fall in your bodyguards arms.
I did not see every possible bad person. That is rare. Though loved what happened to them.
I can wait to find what happens with his and his brothers Dad.

Despite the different series names, this is another Hawthorne brothers book. Seven Hawthorne boys, now men, with a story to tell. All of them forced to deal with a tragedy many years ago, and now will all work together to get answers. But first, each other them has a brief job before they team up.

Mack is up next to be a bodyguard for a supermodel. One week and he can meet up with his brothers. He is already counting down the days. But Indigo is different than he expected. The more Mack tries to ignore her, the more Indigo flirts, pushes, to get to him. To get under his skin. So it’s only a matter of time before he snaps.

Fun short read. These books can be finished in a short amount of time, are quick and easy to read, action from start to finish, and entertaining throughout.

This was a really fast paced bodyguard/fake boyfriend novella that kept you guessing. Mack was the professional, protocol following bodyguard tasked with keeping lingerie model Indigo safe from an escalating stalker. She pushed all his buttons in the best way and they quickly fell for each other. The plot kept me guessing who was the stalker and who all was connected until the very end. Very interested to find out what his dad did though to have his mom reacting like that at the end. There were some plot holes and the story seemed a bit disjointed in parts which left me a bit confused. I would have also liked to see what happened between the sisters after the whole incident. No cheating or OM/OW drama, dual POV, HFN with an ongoing plot line and an epilogue 3 days after the big incident occurred. Can’t wait to see the rest of his brothers fall and to see what happened with their dad!

This is another amazing story by Logan Chance. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, it’s sexy and sweet all at once. Mack and Indigo fall fast and hard in the mist of chaos. She has a stalker and Mack is on protection detail. They clash in the beginning, but neither of them can deny the sizzling attraction they both feel for one another. Things heat up quickly, Indigo is kidnapped and Mack is vowing to get her back.

Mack and his team are incredible. He rescues her and promises never to let her go. Even though it all happens fast, it doesn’t take away from the storyline or the awesome characters. These Hawthorne men are amazing and I can’t wait to meet the rest.

The ongoing plot of searching for there father is brilliant. Especially with the way this book ends. The suspense is awesome. ❤️

A great start to the Hawthorne brothers stories. This story is about security/bodyguard Mack and model Indigo.
When there’s a threat, Indigo’s manager hires the security company Mack works for and he’s assigned to protect her at an event…and during the rehearsals and her time in town.
He’s grumpy and determined to get through the job, keep her safe and meet up with his brothers. He resists anything happening between him and Indigo.
She’s hard headed and sassy..a funny combination for the bodyguard to deal with. She doesn’t automatically bow down to what he says…she has opinions and isn’t afraid to let him know what she thinks. She loves giving him heck which is so funny.
When push comes to shove, will Mack be able to protect Indigo when she needs it? Will the mystery be solved? Will they realize just maybe the tension between them isn’t “hate” but heat?

This story is part of a series with other authors. Mack works for a security company and Indigo is a model. This was a protection job for a week. There is chemistry right away between this grumpy, disciplined bodyguard and Indigo a model who enjoys toying with him. I really enjoyed this romantic suspense with its humor, mystery and their chemistry together. OMG, when Mack was telling the story of when his mother sent the Hawthorne brothers to camp when they were younger was hilarious. Looking forward to reading about the next Hawthorne brother’s story.

This is Logan Chance's contribution to a multi author series in Cupid City Security and I just couldn't resist a Logan Chance romance and I'm so glad I didn't. This book was amazing! Our main characters are supermodel, Indigo Lyric and former Navy SEAL, Mack Hawthorne. Indigo has come to Cupid City to promote her brand as headliner in a Valentine lingerie show but has drawn the attention of a dangerous stalker. Mack is hired to protect her and must definitely not fall for the client. Hot, grumpy and determined Mack meets his match with Indigo's sunshine and strut. A well written suspenseful romance that's perfect for the Valentine season. Perfectly balanced with romance, both sweet and steamy and suspense. This is a fun, high-energy mix of romcom banter and romantic suspense. Indigo Lyric, a sunshine supermodel trying to rebuild her image, and Mack Hawthorne, her grumpy, rule-bound bodyguard, make for an irresistible opposites-attract pairing—especially when a dangerous stalker forces them into close quarters.

The story is packed with classic tropes—one bed, fake dating, forced proximity—and leans fully into them in the best way. Indigo’s warmth balances Mack’s intensity, and their chemistry is strong from the start. The banter is playful, the tension is high, and the Cupid City setting adds a quirky, festive charm. While some moments feel a bit over-the-top, it fits the tone of the story and keeps things entertaining. The mix of danger, humor, and romance makes this a fast, addictive read.

OMG!! Operation Bombshell is a fast pace short story with bodyguard romance and is perfect for Valentine's Day. This is Indigo and Mack's story, filled with intense interaction, fake dating, and hidden threats. I love Indigo!! She is an independent woman who wants to handle things her way, but when the threats become more than she can handle, she will need all the help she can get. I love how protective Mack is and how hard he tried to fight the attraction, but when the teasing became too much to ignore, he had to work on protecting her heart, too. Their story goes through all the lust at first sight, but when things became more serious, they worked hard to keep each other. I also love seeing Mack with his brothers on their own mission. I really enjoyed their story and can't wait to read more.

Logan Chance gave us the best new series right before Valentine’s Day and it is placed in the most perfect city for love, Cupid City. This book gives us Mack Hawthorne (yep, one of those Hawthorne brothers - the ones searching for their long-lost father) and Indigo, a supermodel who needs to get back on her feet. She needs the protection of a specialist when her stalker gets a little too close and she cannot put off her job in Cupid City. The fireworks between these two last well past the city and the job and even the prospect of distance. This is definitely a book you will want to read to bring in a little bit of those holiday vibes into your life while still have a Logan Chance romance of a book.

After his career as a Navy SEAL ended Mack now works as a bodyguard. His latest assignment is to protect Lyric, a model who has drawn the attention of the wrong person, however with multiple suspects and the very personal feelings he has for her things are about to get muddled.

Indigo is a successful model who has been hurt by those she should have been able to trust. This show is a second chance for her professionally and she isn’t about to be scared away and when the danger comes to a crescendo she knows that she can trust Mack to keep her safe.

Indigo is feisty and independent while Mack is a natural defender. The feelings between them are indisputable and suspense only adds to the story.

After a scandal damaged her modeling career, Indigo is ready to get back to where she was. However, she finds that she now has a stalker. Enter Mack, hired to protect her during her comeback even though he has no interest in following a model around, and she doesn't feel she needs that level of protection. When the stalker starts to escalate, she finds that she does need Mack, and at this point being in such close proximity, their chemistry has already been building. Not helping their growing feelings is that Cupid City is all hearts and romance. When things go wrong, both realize their true feelings, but what will happen and will they make it out of these situations they find themselves in to be together? Another great read!

It’s time to meet yet another Hawthorne brother! It’s Mack’s turn to take the spotlight, he’s ex military and now works as a bodyguard for a private firm and has been assigned to protect supermodel Indigo Lyric. Indigo is about to do one of her biggest shows but now has a stalker that’s getting too close. Of course Mack try’s to remain professional, it’s his job, but a little forced proximity to a supermodel? Well it’s all gonna go awry right? A super steam short read as another Hawthorne gets bitten by that love bug!
