The room froze. Dean grew--taller, scaled, monstrous. Not Dean at all. I'd been sitting across from the Ra'Ak Prince the whole time. My chair hit the floor as dragons burst through the roof, Rae-Rae threw out a stasis net and Dean--the real Dean--came in swinging. It was chaos, pure and fast. "Take Dean to the Council, I snapped at Skye, who made his appearance, ready to decapitate my former lover. "Let them pass judgment."
"I am the blade for both Councils," Skye snapped, voice low. "And I won't let this one walk away."
From frozen Russian tundra to a swamp world that makes nightmares appear tame, Skyler follows a trail of destruction, betrayal and ancient secrets. He'll need all his talent and every ally he can gather to stop what's coming, because this isn't just a war, it's a countdown. In truth, the Ra'Ak aren't the only threat rising to devour everything; enemies are everywhere and even the Wraith Zone is listening...

Long awaited, which can often mean a let down, not here; the three months between announcement and arrival provided ample time for rereads and they were very much needed. I think all the major strands have been brought together and completed, but I’m operating on hardly any sleep after reading until I finished so I’m probably overlooking more than a few things. I will of course be rereading once I recover from my new book high. In the interim … take that Lennox you loser. (I laughed when I read that the leads were planning on making Beef Wellington for the bad guys, but that may just be a topical Aussie thing.)
An outstanding author in the sci fi / fantasy genre
It’s been a while since the start of this story arc. I am very familiar with the characters from the original and other story lines, so when I started Wraith Zone I had to pause and go back to reread the Dragon and Mrs Muir on through Buffer Zone and Black Zone. All are well written and worth the read but to truly understand and appreciate the characters you need to read it all. I am extremely grateful to Connie Suttle her books have provided me with many hours of enjoyment. I wish more of her books were on Audible as over the last couple of weeks I have been having difficulties with my sight. Again thank you for the many hours of reading pleasure.
The end of this book was both a surprise and not a surprise. I was very disappointed in a much loved favorite character. I think some details still need to be told but this book almost felt like the Lissaverse finale. I hope I'm wrong.
Thank you Connie Suttle for another amazing book. So many twist and turns!! So many questions answered. The Acknowledgment touched my heart. Joe was standing over your shoulder reading while you typed.
