Rate this book
The broken heir and the golden favourite. Forbidden love. Elemental powers. And a choice that could reshape destiny itself.

Heartbroken and defeated, Eirik leaves the city behind to claim the destiny Thorvald promised.

Meanwhile, Aurelius must face the chaos and shattered pieces left in Eirik’s wake.

As Thorvald’s followers multiply, his vision draws ever closer to reality. With Eirik now among his ranks, unexpected friendships, found family, and a twisted world of danger and instability await. There’s no turning back.

But Eirik may find a chance to reconcile with Katarina in the most unexpected way.

Perfect for fans of morally grey antiheroes, elemental powers, slow-burn heartfelt romance, and character-driven fantasy.

This series is pulling on all the heart strings. You got forbidden love, unrequited love, and familia bonds. Eirik has cut ties with this family and “friends” and has joined a sort of vigilante group lead by an assumed dead, mysterious ancestor. We follow Eirik as he follow a morally gray, possibly darker path as he struggles with heartbreak and broken family ties. I’m now sitting on pins and needles waiting for book3 to be released.

This is the second book of at least a three book series- otherwise that was a horrible cliff hanger at the end.

We are back in the world where the Clan is, the King, the Prince heir and the Prince Spare - but we have some new "issues" - the Prince Spare has ran from town and joined up with his great great grandfather - leaving behind the woman he has loved all his life, (and a surprise).

The Prince Heir tries to do the "right" thing by marrying her- but......then......

I still feel sorry for the Prince Spare - he knows that he is just around for body parts in case the Prince Heir needs it - I can understand why he is what he is - and then both he and his brother are both being played by both sides saying they are fulfillment of prophecy.

I still don't know if the great great great grandfather is evil - I think we are going to have to wait to book three to find out :)

Great book kept me on the edge of my seat!
