Take Me Slowly part 1

Rate this book
What happens on the mountain, stays on the mountain.

When my life fell down around me, I had to get out. I left the city, and the wreckage, behind me.

Aurora Hollow, high in the mountains beckons to me. However, it isn’t the most welcoming of places. Especially to city girls like me.

Some of the locals would like nothing more than for me to leave town, but I'm not going anywhere. Men who are as rugged as the mountain, and just as inhospitable, call to me. And I can't resist them.

But a place like this has secrets, deadly ones. Secrets that threaten to pull me in too deep. The truth is in the past, and it will come out.

The secrets and revelations might bring old enemies together, or shatter the whole town.

Looking for something cozier to curl up with this fall, I suggest Aurora Hollow where the men are possessive and the tension is electrifying. Leah has stumbled upon this quaint town that drew her in without a single reason why, there is something that the mountain is holding back; whispered secrets of a dark past that no one will let lie. She is determined to understand it all.

Literally could not put this one down and am grateful for the opportunity to read it early!

DNF 22%

The men in the story think and talk about sex like 85% of the time.
FMC is very weak willed and not assertive enough.

Once one of the MMC's told the FMC that she would be begging for his cock, in the first 15%, I knew this wouldn't be the book for me.

Not enough plot development (there wasnt really one) and too much inner monologue(s) about sex made this book a DNF.

This was a great new story from Maggie. Is a change from her mafia and sports stories but still just as amazing. You get sucked in to following along as Leah arrives in Aurora Hollow after escaping her life in the city. This place calls to her and she stars making friends with the town. What about this place makes her feel at home
