Brigid suffered from abuse at the hands of her abusive fiance. After enduring a particularly terrible incident, she made the decision to escape from him and find a safe haven far away. Little did she know that her ex-fiance had hired Ronan to track her down and return her to him within two weeks. From the moment Ronan laid eyes on Brigid, he became possessive and claimed her as his own. What will happen when Brigid finds herself caught in the clutches of a predator?
The story was an absolute masterpiece of action, healing, and romance. I was moved to tears countless times. I was completely captivated by the characters Brigid and Ronan and their incredible chemistry. They are truly meant for each other. Brigid is a strong and resilient character, despite her difficult past. She doesn't take anything for granted, fearing that it could all disappear, but that's where Ronan comes in.
He may be a fierce predator to others, but he is gentle and caring towards Brigid. Ronan showers Brigid with an abundance of love and affection, taking care of her and always being there for her when she is vulnerable. He also loves to spoil her, fulfilling her every wish. The spice was whole another level and was scorching hot! Ronans's dirty talking that had me melting me down there loll.
I thoroughly enjoyed the unexpected plot twists and turns that eventually came together in a satisfying way. The suspense and mystery had me completely hooked, unable to predict what would happen next. It was quite a thrilling ride! I needed to take a moment to catch my breath after reading it.
Overall, it was an emotionally charged story that I wholeheartedly loved and cherished. I was moved to tears until the very end, as it managed to be both heartbreaking and heartwarming simultaneously.

In Aberdeen, nothing is quite what it seems. When she meets Ronan Marcellus, the man hired to track her down and bring her back to her ex. But what she doesn't know is Ronan wants to keep her for himself. Will Brigid be able to outrun her past, or will she be forced to confront it?
Brigid, our FMC, is strong and so sweet. Literally one of the nicest and sweetest FMCs I have ever read. It was so refreshing to read about her struggles and how she overcomes her traumas.
Ronan freaking Marcellus, our MMC, is Daddy 🔥🥵 I don't even want to say more because he is an experience that you need to go in blind to.
The side characters... I adore Trick 😭🖤 and I can't wait for his story. And Marty is a powerhouse and so fierce. Vi has my heart 😭🖤. Let's be honest Raven doesn't write a bad character. Except for villians 🤣😈 and even then you love to h@te them.

When I tell you this book has RUINED ME, I'm not even joking!!! 😭😭😭 I haven't been so invested and CONSUMED by a book like this in a long time! 😫❤🔥I KNEW Raven was good when it came to creating characters, but MAN did she blow my mind away with these two! She has completely outdone herself and I'm SO FREAKING PROUD of her!!! ❤❤❤
Ronan freaking Marcellus has my freaking heart, now and forever 😭❤ I doubt there are enough words in the English language to explain how INCREDIBLE his character was!!! That man was EVERYTHING our dear Brigid could have ever wished for and more! The protectiveness he reserved only for her, the sweet words he used to reassure her and shower her with the affection she'd craved for, for YEARS! The patience and empathy he showed while working on gaining her trust! He made my heart melt little by little, it was PURE TORTURE, and I LOVED every single second of it!!! 😭❤🔥
Brigid was the most adorable being ❤ even after being shattered to pieces, she still held kindness in her heart. Instead of letting her twisted past darken her heart, she decided to give love one last try. The courage she showed by choosing to hold on to the hope that Ronan would not even dream of hąrmînğ her in anyway possible. She'd been through the WORST kind of pain, but she was stronger than the people who broke her thought her to be. That alone made me wanna hug her tight! 😍🔥
There wasn't a single thing missing in this gem of a book! The angst, the found family, the banter, the romance. Everything you could ask for and so much more! ❤ I cannot WAIT to read the upcoming books in this series! So do yourselves a favor and add this MASTERPIECE to your TBRs, you'll thank me later! 😎🔥

There is so much I want to say about this book and way too little coherent thoughts to be put down in words. I was given an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.
First of all, I want you to read this too. This was a breathtaking story about soulmates and trauma healing with a side of light stalking. So check TW’s first.
Our MMC Ronan is the most swoon worthy man a woman has ever written. Forget about every hot, possessive, morally grey MMC before, bc Ronan does it better.
He would burn the world to keep her safe and he is so considerate of her comfort level and he takes communication to a whole new level, I don’t even have words to describe how I feel. 🫠🫠🫠
And Brigid, our FMC, she is so resilient that you can only admire her strength and strong will to survive from everything.
And you can’t forget the spice! It’s the perfect amount and the quality is top tier. 🌶️🌶️🌶️
And the side characters are just like a cherry on the top of this perfection of a story. 🍒

He had one job ... bring her back to her abuser, and he chose to help her stay away. While still taking his money ... savage move Ronan!
I loved how this had Haunting Adeline vibes. Was so here for those beautiful descriptions of how smexy Ronan is.
This had my attention from the very beginning. I could not get enough from either POV. Raven made them both so enticing that it was challenging to take your attention away for even just a second. I ate this up, and do not regret it one bit.
I do not even regret the tears that welled up in my eyes at the sad moments.
Super excited to continue this series ...

I was given an arc copy to read and review - sorry it took a hot min to read and review, life.... so, happy pub day Raven!
First chapter pulled me in and tugged on every emotion. I have been in a bad situation, fortunately it was only a short period of time, but I can understand the fear. I was scared and hopeful for her from the start, and everything in between.
The writing is wonderful. Every piece of information was presented so well. The story moved along with characters and the world being described in different ways that flowed so well. It never felt like there was an info dump or any missing information.
The story follows a dual POV of our fmc - the prey - Brigid, and the mc - the wolf - Ronan. Even though their attraction was quick, it felt real. I loved their chemistry.
The action. The spice. It kept me on the edge of my seat and kept me flipping pages like i couldn't get through them fast enough.

Now that it’s said, OH MY GOD.
I am feeling so emotional right now.
This book is everything, and more.
It is so well-written, the characters are deep, and the story is so good !
I didn’t know what to expect, the story attracted me when I first read about it, and I don’t think I was excepting all of this, this being the amazingness of everything in here.
This story is one of growth, of moving forward, of living the life one chooses to live, of owning one’s emotions and being able to express them, of trust, of unwavering love, of a found family and of fate.
It’s the story that I didn’t know I needed.
Ronan is an amazing character and I’ll never shut up about him. Ever.
Also, how clever it was of the author to drop pieces of information about the other characters ! I am now excitingly waiting for book 2 to learn more about Trick and Marty !

It is so well-written, the characters are deep, and the story is so good !
I didn’t know what to expect, the story attracted me when I first read about it, and I don’t think I was excepting all of this, this being the amazingness of everything in here.
This story is one of growth, of moving forward, of living the life one chooses to live, of owning one’s emotions and being able to express them, of trust, of unwavering love, of a found family and of fate.
It’s the story that I didn’t know I needed.
Ronan is an amazing character and I’ll never shut up about him. Ever.
Also, how clever it was of the author to drop pieces of information about the other characters ! I am now excitingly waiting for book 2 to learn more about Trick and Marty !

Stealing Brigid has got to be one of my favorite reads this year! All of the stars. 😌
This book started off with a bang, with Brigid on the run. You don’t find out til later the amount of trauma this woman has survived. Raven did an amazing job showing what recovery looks like. Enter Ronan our MMC. The man hired to find her and bring her back. For one this man is absolutely drool worthy and two amazing with Brigid. He may be an alpha hole but he so careful with her and respectful of her boundaries. I definitely fell for this man. I would love to say more but you’re just going to have to read and find out. When I reached the end of the book my mind was blown by all the scheming this man did.
Now the spice….holy moly. It is off the charts. The things Ronan says made me sweat. 🥵🥵

This book was nothing short of amazing. I am so honoured to have gotten an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The story between Ronan and Brigid was so satisfying. It was the perfect balance between dark (a little delicious stalker moment at the beginning), sweet (Ronan is probably the sweetest MMC I’ve ever met), and spicy (the mouth on that man!!!!!!!!). Raven did a phenomenal job mixing very tough subjects with romance, sex, and healing. Seeing how the characters developed on their own and together made me so happy. They both really deserved a happy ending and that’s exactly what they got. And the plot was plotting!!! The romance was thick in this book, but Raven did so good keeping me interested in the backstory. I never felt like I was missing anything.
I cannot wait for the other stories in this series!!! I need to know more about Marty and Jacob!!! And the other side characters.
Overall, I knew this book was going to be 5 stars only a few chapters in, and the ending didn’t disappoint.

This was Raven’s first contemporary dark romance, and I’m so happy there will be more in the Aberdeen Runaways Series, because I loved this book!
The cast of characters Raven has created is really awesome, with many of them still hiding secrets that have yet to be revealed. Raven is also spectacular at writing characters you’ll love to hate. Brigid and Ronan, our MCs are so multi-faceted and smoking hot. I really enjoyed the evolution of Brigid’s character, as well as discovering some of the hidden aspects of Ronan.
As usual, Raven has a special ability to wreck the reader in the best way. It’s all for good reason, and don’t worry, she won’t leave you unsatisfied!

It so good. If you are a fan of dark romance books this is the book for you. It’s dark so please read the trigger warnings. I am a trauma mama so I will read pretty much anything. But please check first just to protect your own mental health, as always! Thank you Raven for having me on your street team and for the honor of reading your ARCs. This book is amazing, the story is so good, the characters are phenomenal, the level of respect this book has for the topics it hits is above par. Raven wrote one of my top reads last year (This Hallowed Accord, if you haven’t read it and you love a spin on angels and demons you are missing out) and this is a top read for me this year I already know! I am so emotional after finishing, I don’t even think I can function as a human for the rest of the day. I can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy because I need this trophy! Stealing Brigid is a dark romance but also a beautiful love story, not only between Brigid and Ronan but Brigid and herself. Brigid is one of my favorite main characters I have read in awhile. She has been through so much and yet is still so kind, so strong, allows herself to be vulnerable despite everything AND HER GROWTH AND HEALING MADE ME CRY SEVERAL TIMES. Ronan is, of course, a dream and respects Brigid and her boundaries and we all need a Ronan in our lives. Did he call her baby too much for me? Yes, but did I love this so much I didn’t even care? YES. This book kept me on my toes and I don’t even know how to wait for the next book.

This book was phenomenal!! Brigid and Ronan were phenomenal!! Everything was amazing💞
I was lucky to be on Raven's street team and to get an ARC, and just wow.
The plot was unpredictable (to me at least), but I was on alert the whole time. Oh how I wanted to strangle Donovan, and don't even get me started on Avery, that stupid mastermind.
I love how Ronan and Brigid's relationship was portrayed😩. The fact that Brigid knew who Ronan was even before they met....
Violet is my spirit animal and I relate to her so damn much it's kind of scary. I really liked the idea of a safe haven for women in abusive relationships, it was thought so well.🥰
I gasped so loud when we found out that Ronan was related to them and the fact that he sent Kiara to help her was just🔥
It wasn't the best idea to start it at midnight on a monday, but oh well, I just couldn't stop at all😭
I can't wait for the next book in this series, because I really want to see Jacob's story!

Absolutely loved this book! Raven Jean just has a way with words and storytelling that meshes so nicely with my brain and this book was no exception to that. Ronan and Brigid—ah, my heart. I adore Ronan, he might actually be the most perfect fictional man I’ve ever fallen for, but also it’s the way he’s entirely devoted to Brigid. And Brigid herself had gone through so much, things that by all logic could have broken her beyond repair, but she somehow made it through with a depth of courage I don’t think even she realized she possessed. The two of them together? Perfection. This is a beautiful love story that I already wish I could read again for the first time.
As always, mind those content warnings. There are definitely dark themes in this book.

First off thank you to the author for sending me an ARC of this book for my honest review!
I really enjoyed this story. It's about a girl (Brigid) who runs away from an abusive situation and into the arms of a town that takes care of women like her.
In the meantime, the abuser employs the services of one, Ronan Marcellus to track her down and drag her back to him.
Little did anyone know but these two had each other written into their souls already. And their story heats up from there as they work together to keep her past from catching up to her.
I wont give anything away because there were some twists and turns and revelations that had my jaw dropping.
The spice is spicy (love a kinky cinnamon roll) and the action was packing.
3.75 stars for me so rounding up here!

Wow, this book. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did but boy was that fun (for some reason I think reading dark romance is fun hehe, I’m fine). I flew through this in two days and didn’t want to stop. I am eager for the sequel and I know I will pick it up.
I loved the characters (Trick was my favorite, literally so pumped for his story with Marty), Ronan was really sweet. His and Brigid romance was super amazing with how deeply they cared for each other. (I felt it was a little fast for me but I still recommend it to romance readers!) Brigid was badass and I loved reading as she came to terms with herself. She wasn’t going to be put back into a box and I loved that about her.
Avery was insane and I love reading about crazy characters, he was a really well written antagonist and I can’t really say it was enjoyable to read about him because he desperately needs therapy. But… you probably get what I’m trying to say. Anyway overall I really enjoyed the story, will definitely continue the series as it comes out, and I recommend to darker romance readers!

This book was beautiful, relatable, sad and freaking hot all in one and then some.
To have the topics that were discussed in this book, which are on the dark side and definitely can be triggering, to be written in such a way that you can feel their emotions, their healing, their chemistry. Just wow.
The way consent and k*nks were also written really stood out to me was extremely refreshing.
Oh and did I mention that I love Ronan...because I do. And Brigid and this community of Aberdeen. I can't wait to read more in this world!

Raven Jean has done something AMAZING with this book! Trying to escape from an abusive partner, Brigid runs to a small town hoping for some solace and freedom, yet doesn’t realize that there is something—or rather someone—lurking within the shadows watching her.
I loved how delicate yet strong she made Brigid’s character, and I 1000% will love Ronan’s character for many years to come! The suspense, romance, action, and smut were just amazing in this book. From the first page all the way to the end my mind refused to let me put down the book Such a great read, and I think you won’t regret the read either.

This book was an intense mix of suspense, survival, and unexpected romance. Brigid is a strong and determined heroine escaping an abusive past, and Ronan starts as her pursuer but quickly becomes something much more. Their dynamic was gripping, and I really enjoyed the emotional depth between them.
That said, the book felt a bit long at times, and some key revelations were saved until the very end, which made parts of the story drag a little for me. However, the chemistry between Brigid and Ronan kept me engaged, and the tension was definitely there!

Stealing Brigid was SO well done! The characters are so well written to the point that their emotions feel like your own, especially Brigid. The plot was sooooo good and the settings were all so well done, you never had to question what anything looked like or where the characters were. Raven is so, so talented! I can't recommend her books enough.

I was lucky enough to read this early and wow.
As a DV survivor myself, I can see a lot of me in Brigid and how she processes her trauma. The way she holds herself, the way she thinks too much, and second guesses EVERYTHING. The side characters are fantastically developed, each with well rounded backstories that we get hints of. The love between Marty and Brigid is adorable and very much a soul-sister connection.
