The Perfect Formula

Rate this book
The grid’s most famous playboy just found a baby on his doorstep, and my dad decided I’m the one who has to deal with it.

Griffin Michaels has a reputation. Parties. Cameras. Women who know better and say yes anyway. I have a reputation too. The sensible daughter. The one who always cleans up the mess.

Hazel is not a mess. She’s a newborn with a powerful set of lungs and a note that says she belongs with Griffin.

I’m supposed to be getting ready for my psychology doctorate, not moving into a driver’s house because my father snapped his fingers. But I can’t afford the doctorate without him, and he knows it.

The press and the sponsors can’t find out. So my father makes it simple. I move in. I keep Hazel safe and secret. I keep his star driver focused on the title instead of falling apart over diapers and no sleep.

Griffin is everything I hate about racing drivers… until he isn’t. Until I see the panic when Hazel cries, the way he refuses to miss a single feed, the moments he looks at me like I’m part of their tiny, accidental family.

I went in to fix a problem.

Now I’m terrified of what happens when my father realizes I’ve become one.

The Perfect Formula is a slow-burn Formula One sports romance between a racing driver and his team principal’s daughter-turned-nanny, featuring a surprise baby, forced proximity, and an off-limits attraction that could ruin them both.

About the author

Annalise Levine is a British sports romance author with a weakness for forced proximity, forbidden chemistry, and athletes who are all discipline until one woman tests every limit.

She writes steamy, emotionally intense romances set in high pressure sports worlds, where careers are fragile, reputations matter, and one mistake turns into the best kind of trouble.

When Annalise isn’t writing, she’s traveling, people watching, watching highlights, and filing away petty sports rivalries for future plot fuel.

Review! ✨
What can I say? It’s everything you want in a romcom feelgood story! I can’t give any less than the full 5-star rating! 🌟

It has the banter, the tropes you just love, the hate or is it love? Everything you wish for is right there on the pages. And maybe the best of all…
The single dad is a F1 driver 😏

The character development is natural and they feel as your best friends by the time you finished the book. And yes, not all the F1 regulations are real, but as said in the beginning of the book - the story needed some slight changes to make it more natural flowing.

All I really want to say: go read this story! It’s the best I read in a while and I did read some nice books lately.

Blurb and tropes: He’s a Formula 1 driver with a life that runs on precision, until a curveball changes everything. Now he’s stuck in close quarters with the last person he wants around: the team principal’s daughter… and his new nanny. Expect enemies-to-lovers tension, a slow-burn payoff, forced proximity, and single dad x nanny chaos, all set against high-speed F1 vibes.

Im so grateful to have received an ARC copy of this book! We are taken to the F1 ciruit to follow Griffin and violets journey. This was a really easy and enjoyable read and all the characters were written so well. At points I was feeling their emotions with them. There was moments that i was reading and seriously couldn't put the book down or couldnt stop thinking about it when I was forced to stop. I had moments where I could feel my heart racing alongside the characters and there were moments where everyone just felt so right. I think the characters truly did work so well together. This was such an amazing read and 100% made me feel how the characters felt and I can't wait to add more detail when this book is out for everyone to enjoy ✨️

I received this book as an advanced reader copy and I am so glad that I did. This was my first book I’ve read by this author but I am officially a fan and cannot wait for the second book!

As someone who got sucked into Formula 1 this past season this book was perfect. Violet is the daughter of the team owner who wants nothing to do with drivers but when a baby gets left on one of her dad’s drivers doorstep she’s forced to get real close to Griffin.

Griffin is your typical playboy who is at the top of his sport and he knows it. But one day his life completely changes and not only does he now have to learn to be a dad he is also thrown in with being around Violet who doesn’t care about his playboy ways.

There’s a great mix of racing, banter and spice and there were even a few truly laugh out loud moments. Griffin is perfect book boyfriend material and watching him learn how to be a dad and seeing him grow was written so well.

I will start out by saying that I was given an ARC copy to read and am giving my own opinion.
I absolutely loved this book and would recommend it. It was an easy read, light-hearted but had depth to it, making it amazing. The relationship between the two main characters was beautiful, the banter was amazing, and I loved seeing the characters slowly falling in love. While it was a more light-hearted read, there were plenty of heavier themes (such as both of the main characters trying to escape the influence of the manipulating FMC’s father) that allowed the characters to grow and bloom. Plus there’s an adorable baby, so how could anyone resist it?! If I could, I would delete my memory of what happened in the book just so that I could read it for the first time again.
Thank you so much to Annalise Levine and her team for letting me read the book! I really enjoyed it and appreciate the opportunity!

I’ve been craving a great F1 romance and I am so thankful I was chosen to read this as an ARC!
I loved reading Griffin, Violet, and Hazel’s story. I haven’t read a lot of surprise baby romances, but this was done so tastefully! Violet is forced to be Griffins nanny by her father which happens to be Griffin’s boss! Griffin has to make tough choices like learning how to be a father, leaving his baby while he works, and keeping the baby out of the media. Oh and the banter and tension was sooo good! Nico is also one of my favorite Drivers so that was fun she named a character after him!

Griffin and Violet

This formula one romance follows Griffin and Violet. When an unexpected surprise lands at Griffin’s door, his whole career is on the line.
Violet needs something from her dad to get her freedom and career of her choice.
So she makes a deal to help Griffin and help his surprise baby staying under the radar and out the press herself.
Griffin is not her biggest fan and Violet herself doesn’t like the world of formula one racing, but necessity forces them together.
Slowly Griffin sees that Violet is not Daddy’s girl and Violet notices that there is more to Griffin than she thought.
Falling for each other was never the plan but feelings don’t play by rules. And so Griffin and Violet have more fronts to fight against than they thought.

A well told love story

I was provided an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.
This is at the heart of the matter, a love story between a race car driver and his boss's daughter with the perfect amount of spice. The two are thrown together when a newborn baby is left at the racer's doorstep. She is a pro with children and he is a mess. They each have to overcome some significant obstacles and differences before they get their HEA. I enjoyed the read. It was quick, engaging and left me begging for more. My favorite part of the book was when Violet wore Griffin's shirt with his name and number on it for the first time to a race and he was quite pleased. This is a quote from the book. "You know, I'm keeping this shirt," I whispered, grinning against her lips, "It's officially the best thing I own." #AnnaliseLevine

Their worlds get flipped upside down in an instant; but the slow burn while Griffin and Violet learn their way around each other while caring for newborn surprise Hazel, is worth the wait. Finding out what they thought they knew about each other is wrong, they figure out they are exactly what each other needs. All while navigating a racing season and a manipulative father/car owner

Thank you to Annalise for allowing me to ARC review her story! I loved the way Violet and Griffin’s story evolved. I especially loved how tentative Griffin was to Hazel.

I’m excited for the release and the next installment ❤️

4.5/5 stars!

Thank you to the author and team for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed Griffin and Violet’s story. Although it wasn’t anything I didn’t expect, it flowed nicely and it was fun to see their relationship grow and evolve.

And I can also say that I without a doubt despise Julian Carter.

Excited to read Jesse’s story next!
