Taking down an evil empire and establishing a new world is where most tales would mark their happily ever after, but for Raid and Eluria, this was no more than the first step in their painstaking journey to save the ravaged timeline. The true key to the world’s salvation lay somewhere deep in the infested continent, but there’s only so much they can do when they’ve got nothing but a war-torn empire on their side. The solution? A quick trip back home to fetch some supplies and personnel, of course! But therein lies a new Raid has to lead the trip back home, while Eluria has to stay behind to protect the world. Splitting up for the first time since their reincarnation, the strongest couple brave their time apart with a tender promise to fulfill upon their reunion. And awaiting them after that...is the truth that was left to the world two millennia ago by a certain all-seeing sage!

The series remains a fun light-hearted over-the-top story with anime-like characters and violence. If that is not your thing, how did you get this far in, but I like it well enough as a fun palette cleanser. Furthermore, if you are going to do time travel, making it an alternative world that impacts one another is a decent way to go about it, although admittedly, I am not a big fan of time travel in general. The afterword was interesting enough. I always enjoy it when the author discusses a bit of the behind the scenes stuff like the series being extended due to how well the manga adaptation was doing, and I give it to the author that this extension doesn't feel like an author scrambling for material as happens on occasion with other light novel series.
