TIP 1: AVOID 6: 5 PAYOUT
If you want to get started with your blackjack game, you should first take a close look at the available tables. It is particularly important that you pay attention to the payout ratio. There are also casinos that pay out blackjack at a ratio of 6: 5, which is a big disadvantage for you. This becomes particularly clear with a simple calculation example.
You multiply your placed bet by 6 and then divide the result by 5. If you bet € 10, for example, you would get a result of 12. The normal ratio in blackjack is 3: 2. If you now put these two variants in relation, you will quickly see that with the ratio 6: 5 you would win a whole 3 € less in this calculation example. Converted, the banker's advantage would also increase by approx. 2%. Therefore, you should definitely avoid the 6: 5 ratio.

TIP 2: THE NUMBER OF DECKS SETS THE TONE
When participating in a blackjack table, one of the most important things you should pay attention to is the number of decks the dealer uses. The fewer decks that are played, the better you can ultimately read a game. This makes it much easier to remember the order of the cards already drawn and thus to draw conclusions about the further course of the game. If you can remember the order of the cards well, you can have a direct influence on the further course of the game and thus significantly minimize the house edge of the respective casino. Therefore, especially as a beginner, you should make it a point to play with as few decks as possible at one table.

TIP 3: KEEP BASIC STRATEGY
If you stick to the basic strategy in blackjack, you can internalize many important procedures and thus gain a certain degree of security during the game. There are a few simple tips and tricks to follow that will reduce the bank edge to a minimum and thus make you a better blackjack player. For this purpose, you should always split the aces in blackjack according to this basic strategy and never split the tens. You can easily memorize these simple rules and apply them quickly and safely in practice after a short period of time

TIP 4: PRACTICE IN BETWEEN
If you want to play blackjack successfully , it is essential that you practice regularly to get a feel for the game. Before you start playing for real money, it is therefore advisable to first improve your skills with play money for free. In this context, there are also many online casinos on the Internet that provide you with a free simulator. Work on your skills regularly and always improve yourself between the individual blackjack games. Here it is very important to always stay on the ball and to always hone on yourself. This is how you can lay the foundations for becoming a very good blackjack player.

TIP 5: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE OUT INSURANCE
If the bank's first card is an ace, you basically have the option of insuring yourself against a blackjack from the bank. If the dealer gets a blackjack on his next move, your insurance will be paid out twice. However, if the bank does not have blackjack, the entire amount of the insurance is lost. However, you should never insure yourself against bank blackjack regardless of the cards in hand. As a rule, this will lead to high losses. Remember that the bank created this insurance. Would the bank take itself off? Of course not. Hands off insurance!

TIP 6: LEARN TO SPLIT PROPERLY
You always have the option to split cards if the cards are a pair. Here you can split the cards into two separate hands. To do this, you place the same bet on your second hand. In the end, you then bet twice. However, always pay attention to the rules, as with some variants it may be forbidden to split certain pairs.

There are also some important tips that you should definitely follow. To avoid ruining your own good hand, you should never split a pair of 10s. Two 8's, on the other hand, are extremely unfavorable, so that they should always be split. Aces, on the other hand, should always be split due to their high potential. Aces can rarely be overbought and therefore you have a very high probability of winning when splitting aces. Lower cards, on the other hand, are unfavorable and therefore you should not risk an increased bet by splitting.

TIP 7: THE RIGHT ONLINE CASINO
You should make sure that there is also a single deck variant with the respective provider. In addition, you should always be offered blackjack in the live casino area. It is also very important that you can get a strong bonus for blackjack as well. This bonus should contribute at least 20% to the turnover of the bonus conditions. More percent would be even better. By carefully comparing the various online casinos, you will be able to pinpoint some of the strong bonus promotions for blackjack.

Ok for one set of house rules.

The book nicely describes the basic strategy for one set of house rules. Doesn't provide any tables, instead a few sets of easy to remember rules for hard, soft and paired hands. Provided your on a "stand on 17", w/surrender table you'll be OK.

I like how the author breaks down everything very simple. It's easy to follow and take notes if you want to, which is what I decided to do until I can remember the rules.
