Holiday Ever After is on my nice list this Christmas 🎄🎁
i loved the plot, the romance, and the cast of characters from the most adorable small town. this was such a festive, merry, and sweet read with the perfect dash of spice.
thank you to the author for making this dual pov & for making the characters actually have chemistry and not just insta-lust!!!
as a third-act breakup hater, i wasn’t a huge fan of the conflict near the end. however, it thankfully didn’t ruin the book for me and i was able to understand where both characters were coming from. the characters did a pretty good job at communication.
my first Hannah Grace novel did not disappoint. this may have to be a seasonal re-read each year. if you want something that makes you feel merry and bright, this is your book. ❄️✨

Soooo adorable and cute and sweet and every synonym u can think of.
I was genuinely worried I wouldn’t enjoy this at first but when it kicked in? Fell in love. They became MY people.
Jack is THE secret softy grump of my dreams. My face the entire time in his povs 🥹😫😭🤭🫦😮💨🪭🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️ when I tell u this man was whipped hehe. When he calls here “baby” I melttttt. So simple yet so frigging effective 🤚
Also I love a man that knows the temperament of women 🙂↕️ the way he saw the lady nodding rapidly to what he said and he knew she wasn’t agreeing with him oh no no no “he was gna get it” LMFAOOO I was screaming laffingggg bc yes he did in fact get it 😭🤣
Reading this I was just like “I missed Hannah’s writing 😭” the entire time. It felt like finally coming back to a warm cosy home after spending a whole year adrift in the ocean. Her writing just brings me such comfort it’s hard to explain in real words.
If ur debating reading this bc icebreaker wasn’t ur fav then trust when I say this book is different to her other works.

it's like a cute holiday hallmark movie, but I just got a little bored. It truly felt like I was cheating reading this in October rather than waiting until December, but I was too impatient. 😭🎄

this was a seriously adorable, perfect and the most cozy little Christmas read ever!
the town in this book was so cute, christmassy and easy to visualize. Hannah Grace described the shops and the scenery in the most perfect ways and I want to visit the fictional Fraser Falls myself now.
I also loved the plot; it was fun and I found it unique compared to what a lot of the typical holiday romance books include. also, rather than just placing a problem towards the end of the book for the fuck of it, I felt that the conflict really meshed with the story well and was realistic so I appreciate that a lot.
and the characters oh my god🥹 not only did I love the main characters, but the side characters were all so charming and each one had a special place within the story. I actually loved them so much that if Hannah Grace decided to make this an interconnected series then I will be first in line to read the other books.
so why is my rating a 3.5 and not a 4? honestly, it's simply just because this book wasn't the most memorable for me. I'm not going to think about it for months on end but, 3.5 is still such a strong rating in my books. the vibes this book gave me were exactly what I needed leading up to Christmas and I think everyone should add this cute little book to their holiday tbrs.

I loved her so much. like, I would not have expected to love a character this much from a holiday book but damn. she is such a sweetheart and I loved that she had so much emotional depth to her. she was actually hilarious and I admired everything about her; her honesty, her determination, her hard work, she genuinely made this book 10 times more entertaining.

no but I enjoyed his character too. in the beginning he was such a grump but I loved watching him melt and give into Clara's charm. he was such a sweet guy and he too had depth to his character; he has always felt that it is his obligation to fix everyone's problems. he is that guy that everyone in the small town relies on to fix their problems and to lend a helping hand and I loved that Clara helped him to realize how he needs to also prioritize himself too.

I highly, highly recommend this as a cozy holiday romance. I know Christmas is over and I wish I got around to making this review sooner but for anyone still in the mood, let this be the book you read. and to anyone not in the mood anymore, add it to your tbr for next year 🙂↕️

This was SO CUTE!!!
It was giving Gilmore girls but Christmas!! The town was adorable and I loved all of the side characters too. I’m not sure if this book will be part of a series, but I really hope we get to visit this town again in another one of Hannah’s books!

as someone who isnt typically an enjoyer of christmas rom coms (mainly hallmark type things) this is the cutest fucking thing ever, i am utterly obsessed with clara and jack and im already itching to get my hands on the audiobook of this.
hannah grace very quickly became a “if she writes, i read” author for me after reading icebreaker almost 3 years ago (this book was fun as fuck, argue with a wall if you disagree i dont wanna hear it). i truly thought it would take at least two or three more books of hers for the main couple to beat out halle and henry as my favorite couple of hers and boy was i sorely proven wrong!! clara and jack (and elf) are EVERYTHING and more 😭
this book completely sweeps you off your feet from the start in every aspect possible. the uniqueness of work field, the quirkiness of fraser falls’ residents, jack the grumpy but insanely perfect golden retriever of a man GOD, clara the baddest sweetest woman alive imho AND ELF. there was simply not a single moment of this book where i wasnt either giggling or swooning over clara and jack.
i am on my knees desperately begging hannah that this will not be the last we see of these characters and fraser falls 🤭

this book was delightful, like instant cozy brain. hannah grace did it again, but it felt different in the best way. maybe it is the age of the characters, maybe it is the vibe, but i connected with jack and clara more than i have with anyone else in her books. clara is grounded and capable, not just a holiday heroine with twinkle lights in her eyes, and jack is grumpy but not cruel, a man who has actually earned his walls. the whole thing reads like the good version of a hallmark movie, the one with real feelings and believable growth, and it had me wanting to move to a small town, drink hot chocolate, and join the winter festival committee immediately.
the slow burn is perfect. you know they are going to get there, but the way they build trust and fall in love is so patient and satisfying that the journey is the point. i was giggling and kicking my feet like a kid, which is exactly what i want from a christmas romance.
the only reason this is not a full five stars is the third act breakup at about eighty three percent. you know i hate those, especially that late. jack was being a jerk, and i fully salute clara for standing up for herself. she felt honest the whole way through, and i loved that for her. overall it is warm, charming, and so re readable that i already miss the town.
also, yes, die hard is a christmas movie, i do not make the rules.

I honestly don’t have a lot to say about this book. This is a small town romance and I usually grade them on a cozy curve, but I didn’t feel much love or warmth for this town and in my opinion, the MC’s didn’t have much of a spark. They were also just kind of bland personality wise and since she intended to leave, the progression of their relationship was somewhat stilted. They would speed ahead and then pull back, but it didn’t really feel like a slow burn which I believe it should have been. There wasn’t much tension between them, they just kind of fell into things in a very mundane way. I haven’t loved most of this authors previous books, so it may be time for me to admit that this author just isn’t for me. I say that now, but you’ll probably catch me reading the next one. 😆 FOMO is real.

I have mixed feelings about this book. On one side, I enjoyed the winter and holiday vibes, the pacing was well done, the plot was engaging and many of the characters were great. On the other side, I didn’t feel the chemistry between the main two characters, the romance was disappointing and I didn’t like the miscommunication near the end. I enjoyed the winter activities in the book and the descriptions of the holidays. The writing was easy to follow but it was average. The small-town feel was very heartwarming.
I liked Clara, she was hardworking, creative, outgoing, friendly and charming. I enjoyed watching Clara grow and realize that she was under appreciated. I also liked Jack he’s helpful, strong, hardworking, and caring but I didn’t like how he treated Clara in one situation. Jack also felt flat at some points in the story and I wanted to learn more about his past. Most of the side characters were fun and helpful, I enjoyed how they interacted with the main characters. I didn’t not like Clara’s dad, he didn’t treated her well at all and didn’t appreciate her talent.
The romance was disappointing for me. Clara and Jack did have some cute and heartwarming scenes but they didn’t communicate their feelings for each other well. I also feel that the development of their relationship was all over the place, they developed feelings for each other too quick and then their feelings fell off and then back again. I was not a fan of miscommunication near the end, but at least it was resolved quickly. The ending was sweet but one situation wasn’t quite resolved. Overall this book was fun but the romance was disappointing, I didn’t like the miscommunication and the chemistry between the main characters was off.

Jack also felt flat at some points in the story and I wanted to learn more about his past. Most of the side characters were fun and helpful, I enjoyed how they interacted with the main characters. I didn’t not like Clara’s dad, he didn’t treated her well at all and didn’t appreciate her talent.
The romance was disappointing for me. Clara and Jack did have some cute and heartwarming scenes but they didn’t communicate their feelings for each other well. I also feel that the development of their relationship was all over the place, they developed feelings for each other too quick and then their feelings fell off and then back again. I was not a fan of miscommunication near the end, but at least it was resolved quickly. The ending was sweet but one situation wasn’t quite resolved. Overall this book was fun but the romance was disappointing, I didn’t like the miscommunication and the chemistry between the main characters was off.

Ich hab mich auf eine schöne und festliche Weihnachtsromanze gefreut, aber bekommen habe ich einen billigen Abklatsch dieser kitschigen SuperRTL-Weihnachtsfilme.
Und genau wie in diesen Filmen gibt es auch hier nur langweilige Charaktere ohne Biss und Tiefgang und eine einfallslose Geschichte. Unter diesen Voraussetzungen ist es natürlich schwierig, zwischen Clara und Jack eine Verbindung zu schaffen. Ich persönlich habe ihnen ihre Gefühle füreinander nicht abgekauft, ihre Beziehung hat sich recht emotionslos und gezwungen angefühlt.
Natürlich muss nicht jedes Buch mit Tiefgründigkeit und komplexen Charakteren aufwarten, um unterhaltsam zu sein, aber ein bisschen mehr als das hier darf man meiner Meinung nach schon erwarten.
Abgesehen von allem bereits Erwähnten hat mich auch die deutsche Übersetzung nicht überzeugt.

as you can see, this got me into such a bad reading slump 😭 but finally, finally, i managed to read a lot today (100+ pages) and finish! anyway my new year’s resolution is to dnf books i don’t enjoy.
i’m not saying the book is bad, i understand why people like this! it just wasn’t for me. i couldn’t connect with the characters, the story wasn’t that exciting. i did enjoy the christmas vibes, the town was cute. but that’s about it… don’t hate me 🥹

Okay so this was cute, I loved how detail focused this book was but there was nothing cosy about it.. I'm sorry 😭🫣 there was no spark between the MCs - I didn't find myself rooting for them .. but I'm still gonna rate this a solid three because I loved the setting and small town vibe -- with that being said I will always be uo for reading a Hannah Grace book -- I appreciate that she ventured out and tried a different genre .

As someone who doesn't necessarily enjoy reading a lot of Christmas rom coms, this was so fucking cute and sooo well done.
The characters were so unique and they were all so prevalent in the story that you would think they were all main characters! I loved every single one of them and their stories, they brought sooo much to this book!
I love Clara and Jack together, that first meeting might be my favorite meet cute because it was incredible and also sooo fucking hot. Their banter, their relationship, the spice!!!! So so good!
One thing I didn't like and why this is only a 4⭐️ is that 3rd act breakup. How they acted in that scenes didn't match their relationship to that point. It's like they were completely different people for a second there.
Overall, this was a great book and I honestly hope we will get to see more of Fraser Falls!!!

An incredibly cute holiday story with an awesome FMC.
This was SO close to a full 5 stars. The holiday vibes were perfect, the characters were all so good and entertaining, and this was one of my favorite romcom FMC's in a while. Clara is very smart, very good at her job, but also not completely taken by the MMC. There is definitely attraction, but that doesn't take over her entire being and she's not stammering and blushing every 5 seconds. She's a boss.
I also liked Jack. He's understandably wary of Clara at first if not a little bit of a dick, but he seems to get over that pretty quickly and he's such a teddy bear with some swoon factors thrown in.
But the part that I didn't like was the ending. Third act break ups are never really my thing. I just don't think there's ever enough time between breaking up and getting back together to make it realistic. What is the point of breaking up if all one party is going to do is say oh, sorry about that, won't happen again. And then you're right back together. There's nothing about that that says the same thing won't happen again.
You know what I would love? A blooming relationship that hits a snag about 1/2 way through and then the MMC has to PUT IN WORK to make up for being an ass and PROVING that he's not going to make the same mistake twice. Yes. 1/2 a book of groveling. Give it to me now.
But highly recommend for romance readers who needs some holiday vibes with a boss FMC.

Holiday Ever After by Hannah Grace was such an enjoyable read for me. I genuinely had a great time with this one, it was funny, light, and full of the kind of banter I love. From the very beginning, the dynamic between Clara and Jack completely worked for me. Their back-and-forth was sharp, playful, and had me smiling a lot.
I listened to this as an audiobook, and Teddy Hamilton was fantastic as usual. He’s one of those narrators I always trust, and he really elevated the story for me.
One thing I especially loved was how detail-focused this book was. Little moments stood out, like Clara wearing a watermelon clip in her hair in one scene, a small but vivid detail that not only made the characters feel more real, but also subtly reflected the current zeitgeist, which I absolutely loved. I did find myself a bit confused by how often the protagonists were eating pizza, but honestly, I guess they were just enjoying themselves, and it kind of added to the cozy, indulgent holiday vibe.
I was surprised that this book wasn’t as spicy as Hannah Grace’s other books, but for a holiday romance, I actually think it worked really well. The focus felt more on connection, humor, and comfort rather than heat.
Overall, I’ve enjoyed all of Hannah Grace’s books so far, and this one was no exception. I’ll definitely continue reading anything she puts out.

You know those books you find at the bottom of a charity shop bin for £2.50, slightly bent and gathering dust? That's unfortunately where Holiday Ever After belongs.
This book was a slog to get through. The characters felt flat and one-dimensional and the dialogue was stagnant. Every small-town stereotype was wheeled out in an attempt to be quirky or to provide some comic relief, but none of it landed and it felt forced at times.
The plot was predictable and basic, which could have beensaved by strong characters but unfortunately... they were also missing.
I think this may be my last book I read by Hannah Grace. I've held on despite not loving book 2 and book 3 of her UCMH series, and I'm not sure I'd even like Icebreaker if I reread it these days.
I received an advanced copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was so much fun and so cute. I am a bit of an outlier when it comes to Christmas romances. I like Christmas, I hate Hallmark. I love a romance book that just happens to take place around Christmas. The holiday itself doesn’t always need to take over. This nailed it. Festive and cute without the overwhelming need to fix all your problems by the 25th.
This had everything I love in a book:
- small town and the small town drama
- A bunch of crazy town folk who can’t mind their business
- Found family
- Close proximity
- A dog
- Quirky main characters
Clara and Jack had my heart from the beginning. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because the 3rd act breakup really sent me over the edge. I really hope this isn’t the last we see of Fraser Falls!

Clara is without a doubt one of my favourite FMC. I loved everything about her persona. She is kind, thoughtful, dedicated, determined, and hilarious. She was an absolute boss!
Jack, the community problem solver. He is also a fantastic MC with a super adorable furry friend named Elf 🐶 I actually loved that he was wary of Clara when he found out who she was, it added another level to the relationship. His walls had to be broken down, not that it took much as he is a big teddy bear at his core.
For a festive romance, I thought the situation and characters were both unique. They both had very original personalities that kept the book feeling fresh and intriguing throughout. I absolutely loved their first meeting 🤐- the banter and chemistry between this pair was off the charts and totally believable.
Overall, this was a fantastic holiday romcom; the festive vibes were on point and both the characters and the plot were entertaining throughout. The only thing that knocked off 1/2 🌟 for me was the 3rd scene 👀 but other than that it had all the perfect cozy-holiday feels you could wish for 🥰

This book may be Hallmark coded but it delivers on a level of its own, with the perfect balance of witty humour, heart and Christmas spirit 🥰 I had SO much FUN reading this book and would absolutely love a sequel 🙏🏼
Clara is without a doubt one of my favourite FMC. I loved everything about her persona. She is kind, thoughtful, dedicated, determined, and hilarious. She was an absolute boss!
Jack, the community problem solver. He is also a fantastic MC with a super adorable furry friend named Elf 🐶 I actually loved that he was wary of Clara when he found out who she was, it added another level to the relationship. His walls had to be broken down, not that it took much as he is a big teddy bear at his core.
For a festive romance, I thought the situation and characters were both unique. They both had very original personalities that kept the book feeling fresh and intriguing throughout. I absolutely loved their first meeting 🤐- the banter and chemistry between this pair was off the charts and totally believable.
Overall, this was a fantastic holiday romcom; the festive vibes were on point and both the characters and the plot were entertaining throughout. The only thing that knocked off 1/2 🌟 for me was the 3rd scene 👀 but other than that it had all the perfect cozy-holiday feels you could wish for 🥰

I hated the characters so much and that was the biggest problem in here.
They felt so forced and had 0 chemistry in 𝐌𝐘 𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐍.
It just got boring eventually :(
