Do you talk back to your novel? Does a character in a book ever do something you don’t want them to do? Kenzie Mack puts some of the power in reader’s hands with her creative and captivating debut Moon Shadows.
Growing up, I read those choose-your-own books, where I was instructed to go to page X if you wanted to take one road, or page Y for another decision. Mack brings that fun back in an electronic Reader’s Choice.
My first glimpse into Mack’s book was during a short story class. I remember being caught up in the storyline, and wondering “what would happen next?” That’s when she sprung the idea on me. I wasn’t quite sure how it would play out, but after reading the finished Kindle version it all comes together quite craftily.
The book offers varied heat levels, and a variance in the mate choice. If you’re a reader open to possibilities, think of it as twice the fun! I look forward to seeing what else is in store.
