Dan Padavona tightens the tension inexorably in Bury Her Secrets, until it reaches screaming point.Yet it's balanced out by Darcy's bravery, and her dogged determination to prevent more innocents from paying the ultimate price.
Bury Her Secrets is not for the faint-hearted, but for killer-thriller fans of Stephen King and Willow Rose, it's an intelligently-written story that will set your heart pumping and keep you reading long into the night; but please - don't have nightmares!

A definite must read book and series!!
Ooohh, I kinda dislike you right now Mr. Padavona!! Ok, not really. Maybe.
You, Sir, have created such a wicked, intense, complex, mysterious, suspenseful, and intriguing thriller that it will have everyone hanging on every word from beginning to end. Except, the end.... yep, there's that dreaded cliffhanger! (I absolutely hate those things! Lol!) However, due to the epic story line, as well as having a serial killer of his caliber (no, that's not admiration ~ just a statement of fact) involved, I will reluctantly give you a pass on the mood-killer, oops, I meant the cliffhanger. I truly understand that it takes a long time to create amazing stories, as you always seem to do, and so I'll try to be patient and hope that April will be here before we know it. I can't wait for the next book!
If you haven't already, I would highly recommend that you start from the beginning with this series. Although some of the books could be read as stand alone novels, most of them are connected in one way or another. To get the best reading experience, to get to know the characters, the connections, and the dynamics between all of them, start reading from book #1. You certainly won't be disappointed!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.

I just finished an advanced reader copy of Bury Her Secrets by Dan Padavona. Wow, this is a true nail biter of a book. Darcy Haines is a former profiler for the BAU, one of the best, who is now working as a private consultant to the local police. Her advice to them was sound but the results were devastating and she is in a self-doubt crisis. She is contacted by a prison warden to help with mysterious phantom killings taking place in his prison, the main suspect being one Damon Haldene, a notorious sadistic serial killer who loving slaughtered his victims and posed them as works of art. He had one victim get away and now their courses collide. There follows a hectic race against time to determine the killer, and then only to have an elaborate escape plot unfold. Darcy again goes in pursuit of this monster, she being the only person to ever get into his head. Non stop action and all comes to a crashing climax after lots of twists and turns. Perhaps there will be a sequel? You need to read this one first, preferably not late at night alone! Enjoy.

Bury Her Secrets takes you on one crazy rollercoaster ride. After a bad cases Darcy is starting to doubt her self. She is having issues with Julian and her kids. She decides to take a case where she has to face madman Damon Haldane. Darcy's profile is pretty good but has some holes that she can't quite figure out. I saw some things coming other things I didn't. This book kept me on the edge of my seat turning the pages. This book was full of suspense, surprises and unbelievable twist. In my opinion this is a great continuation of the Dark Water Cove Series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.

Crazy world of who's who in the zoo! What I found fascinating, it was in Illinois, that's where I live and I know the town is Plainfield, Illinois. Keeping up with all the crazy things. Darcy is going to break it all up and get her man. Oh, so ready for more...

Action filled
Can you havve a family and fight dangerous criminals too. Can you be bought and then free to roam the world unscathed. Can you be the epitome of evil and get away free as a bird. These are questions only the author knows. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Good Read
It's been quite a while since I've read a book from the "Dark Water Cove" series. It was great reading about Darcy and the artist that she captured in the past. Plenty of action across a few different storylines. Very enjoyable book!

Excellent page turner
Top of the line with this one. Pretty much know who the bad guys are but keeps you turning the page for the next terror committed by the crazys
