"Intense, enthralling, and wickedly sexy!"

~ New York Times bestselling author, Annika Martin

ANNA

A made man in the Italian Mafia. An immortal blood demon. My dark salvation.

I wanted to reinvent myself, stop hiding in a classroom and prove I’m more than a mousey professor. But the real world is deadlier than I imagined.

My new boss is arrogant, domineering, and dangerous. His thirsty stare ignites my passions, revealing a woman I don’t recognize—someone desperate to break free.

I should have quit, should have run screaming. Because Marco DeVita isn’t just thirsty for my body. He craves my blood. And I’m ready to give him every part of me.

MARCO

Heritage. Family. Blood. The bonds that have tied me to the Boston underworld for almost a century are unbreakable. Or so I thought.

Someone in my crew is stealing from me, betraying our family. But I need an expert to find proof.

Anna Barone is a distraction I can’t afford. Her brilliant mind, hot temper, and hotter body make my fangs ache with need.

I’m trapped between my desire to possess her and my duty to protect my family and our secret. It’s one or the other, because in my world, everything comes at a price.

HER DARK SALVATION is the first book in the Bonded in Blood series. Each book is an interconnected standalone Paranormal Mafia Romance with a guaranteed HEA.

Naturally, I ate this up as a certified mafia girlie 🖤 I loved that this blends classic mafia romance with paranormal elements, especially with the MMC being a blood demon. That aspect really pulled me in.

I also appreciated that the FMC is in her 40s, which felt refreshing and different from the usual heroine. It added depth to the story and made the dynamic feel more interesting.

The plot was solid and gave classic mafia vibes with a paranormal twist layered in really well, and with how it ended I'll most definitely will be continuing the series. I can always count on a good mafia romance to get me out of a reading slump.

I listened to this as an ALC and the audio was great, it definitely enhanced the experience 🎧 The audiobook drops January 23, 2026.

This mafia/demon romance sneaks up on you and slowly hooks you before you even realize it has you. At first, I was far more invested in the mafia storyline and honestly felt like the demon aspect was more of a side plot I could take or leave. But somewhere around the 70% mark, I found myself fully invested in both worlds and how seamlessly they came together.

What I really loved is how unique this mafia romance felt. As much as I adore the genre, mafia stories can often feel predictable and follow similar patterns. This book broke that mold by weaving in the demon element, giving the story a fresh, unexpected edge that kept me engaged.

I did an immersive read while listening to the audiobook, and both narrators absolutely nailed it. Their performances brought the characters to life and added so much depth to the story, making me even more emotionally invested.

Overall, this was a great read, and I’m definitely continuing the series.

This was absolutely breath taking! The tension, the spice, the emotions, the ending!!! This was such a perfect book. I feel like I had been seeing teasers for this book for months and my anticipation to read it kept growing. This far surpassed all my expectations for it and more. A mafia romance with a blood demon who falls hard for the super intelligent woman and wants to drink her blood?!? Give it to me now!

I have always enjoyed Katelyn Brehm's writing style from her Demons Among Us novellas, especially The Art Collector. She has such a way of writing strong, mature characters, who are going through the problems of life that are deeply relatable. The ache of being lost going down the path chosen, with hints of regret and a desire for something different. A need to be free. I always love the FMC's, who are so smart, and even though they may not have always been strong early in life, life and experience has made them tougher. They don't take crap from anyone anymore. They go after what they want, and they prove that age shouldn't hold you back from chasing dreams or having some fun.

The interactions between Marco and Anna had me kicking my feet and grinning so hard. The slow burn was so delicious and the tension just kept building and building. The sweet and funny moments were woven brilliantly throughout. The emails and the teasing about what clothes to wear. The heat hit at just the right time and I about died. O M G! That really happened. I didn't think anything could top that and then it did. I don't want to spoil anything, but she did and then he did, and then it happened during. jaflajflajflj!! 100/10, no notes. But as much as I loved the tension and spice, I loved their connection even more. Marco and Anna were two lost souls that found each other right when they needed the other the most. Marco found someone to make his walls crumble and Anna found passion and connection.

I enjoyed the mixing of mafia with blood demons, the two complimenting and meshing well together. I feel like everything was so well explained and explored. Any questions I had were eventually answered. I can't seem to find the words, but the blend of the real world and paranormal seemed so realistic and vivid. I could picture it all so clearly.

I was thinking during the book that I would love to find out more about Siobhan and Luca, and then that ending happened! And there's going to be another book! I'm so unbelievably happy right now. I cannot recommend this book enough - it was just brilliant.

Thank you to the author for allowing me to read this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was an okay read. Paranormal romance with blood demons and mafia ties. Anna and Marco were great but the build up was really slow. Too slow for my liking and there was a lot of business talk and not enough tension between them to really make their chemistry work.
The plot was pretty straightforward but the side characters, Siobhan and Luca, were interesting and the epilogue might make me want to continue with the series.
A story with its faults but still ok.

Audiobook Review 🎧:

This book was everything I didn’t know I was looking for and exactly what I needed, simultaneously. I absolutely loved and devoured this audiobook in just a few days, and the amount of bookmarks and highlights I have saved is absolute insanity.

Aiden Snow bringing Marco to life was such a treat! It was fun to hear all sides of Marco’s personality come through. There were times he was growly, sweet, concerned, angry, and he pulled them all off with ease! It was so fun to get to know the Mafioso, Blood Demon, CEO, side of Marco. As well as the sweet, falling-in-love-with-his-“assistant” side. I could not imagine anyone else narrating this character as well as Aiden did.

Dani was a perfect Anna! From the first chapter her voice and expressions had me hooked! I really enjoyed her snark, her passionate personality, her willpower, and everything about Anna’s character! She is exactly the kind of FMC I enjoy reading about ! Strong, mature, and can hold her own. Dani did a phenomenal job of bringing out every side of Anna. It was beautiful to listen to.

I never knew I needed blood demons in my life, but wow. The spice was hot, the blood was hotter, the FEELINGS?!? I can’t. Everything about this book drew me in. This one is a bit of a slow burn for the spice, but once you get there it is all worth the wait! I promise!

Although the couple does have their HEA, the plot is still left on a bit of a cliffhanger. However, you get a sneak peek at the end that will have you EXCITED for what’s to come in book 2! I’m so excited to continue on with this series, and I won’t be waiting for the audiobook to hop right in. I am so impatient ! I have to know what happens 😅

Thank you Katelyn for the ALC opportunity ❤️

Audiobook 4.5 Stars!

Workplace Romance + Blood Demon MMC + Italian Mafia Vibes + Spicyyyy

Workplace romances are on the very top of my favorite romance genre trope books, so throw in some paranormal aspects and a demon daddy? YES PLS. This book follows Anna who is a super intelligent MIT finance professor and researcher who is feeling burnt out of the academic setting and wants to take a sabbatical and use her knowledge and skills in the corporate world. Then enters Marco, who knows someone is skimming from his company and needs to hire a financial analyst to figure out who is the culprit. I loved that Anna is in her 40's and is an independent woman who can take care of herself, but she cant help but feel an immense attraction to her older, hot, broody, and powerful Italian boss.

I really loved that both of these characters were older. It made Anna's knowledge and history make more sense. I enjoyed the angst between the two main characters and couldn't wait for them to just say "f it" and get together. And their spice once they got together was electric! The culprit of the financial skimming was not a surprise and I wish it would have been more of a mystery, but this book isn't advertised a as romantic suspense so I didn't go in expecting a huge plot twist.

The narrators were great as well!

Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes any of the tropes listed above and I would continue this series!

This book was sent to me from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Review on the ALC:

Aiden Snow and Dani Soleil absolutely crushed this audio. I feel like these narrators were so perfect for Anna and Marco, and did an amazing job bringing the story to life.

The story being set in Boston made it that much more immersive personally, as someone who lives around & works in Boston. Having the ability to visualize the North End, Southie & the Financial District really leveled up the story. I’m not a huge mafia romance reader, but the aspect of Marco being a blood demon brought that paranormal aspect to it.

The story itself was very intriguing as well. We have Marco bringing Anna into his company to see who is stealing from him, and I must say, I was shocked at the reveal.

Definitely recommend this one!

Wow, just wow! Her Dark Salvation is absolutely mesmerizing. I devoured this book and I am sooo in love with Marco and feel seen in Anna. Beautiful!

Anna is going through a mid-life awakening, cause she is finding herself and there is nothing more alluring than that. She stopped being told what she should or shouldn’t do and I love it when a character realizes their potential. I also love that the characters are older in this book. I love to see that representation!

The heat and tension between Anna and Marco is pure fire. That man’s mouth should come with a warning. The flirting is *chef’s kiss* and that sauna scene….wow. 🥵🫦 IYKYK.

Her Dark Salvation checked all the boxes and I can’t wait to see what Katelyn Brehm shows us in book 2!

✨ALC provided by Blush Audio for an honest review✨

Her Dark Salvation is a billionaire, mafia, workplace, paranormal romance which sounds crazy but it was done well! It has a different take on vampires which are called blood demons, but they’re still immortal though they do age to a certain extent. So the mmc Marco looks to be around 50. And guess what? THE FMC IS 45 YEARS OLD! 😱 Finally a fmc I can relate with! 😂 Anna needed a change having been a teacher for over 20yrs, and she sure found it when she started working for Marco! She was hired to go through his finances and find out who is stealing from him in his company. But along the way Marco finally lets his guard down and allows himself to love, and Anna finally found what was missing in her monotonous life ❤️

The audiobook was dual narrated and of course I wish it was done in duet, but the narrators did really well with their performances. This was the first book I’ve listened to by this author and was pleasantly surprised by it. I’ll definitely be checking out more of their books ❤️

🦇 Mafia, Blood Demons, Protective MMC, Corporate Larceny, Workplace Romance

This was so good to listen to. This pulled me in right from the start. The narration was done well and brought not only the characters, but their chemistry to life. I loved loved loved how the FMC is not young. She's in her 40's, thinking about a career switch and not wanting her life and love life to be boring. Marco, mafiaboss, is a protective and dominant MMC. I enjoyed his flirtatious banter with Ana. I loved how this mixed mafia with paranormal.

4 Stars for a Mafia/Vampire Mashup

This was an interesting world that skewed 85% mafia and 15% vampire (excuse me, blood demon).

✔️ Dual POVs (Marco x Anna)
✔️ Set in Boston
✔️ Open-door contemporary romance (4/5🌶️)
💔 Why they can’t be together: He’s a mafia boss, and she’s just an MIT professor. Plus, he’s a blood demon!
✔️ Tropes: Paranormal romance; mafia romance; workplace romance

Let me just start off by saying I'm usually not into paranormal romance books.
BUT... this book was so well written that it didn't even cross my mind. The storyline and the characters were 🤌
the story of their lives and watching their lives come together was really enjoyable.
and the fact that Luca was the one who betrayed Marco, and Anna was the one who found out?! and then she comforted Marco, the big bad Mafia man!
watching Marco and Anna's relationship build and build, until they finally realize how perfect they are together and how much they fill each other's empty place in their heart and allow themselves to be happy finally, together.
I am so excited to read the ARC for the next book 🤙

Her Dark Salvation by Katelyn Brehm absolutely catapulted me into delusion. I pressed play expecting “oh cute, mafia with a paranormal twist” and instead got Italian blood-demon mob daddy audibly ruining my sanity.
First of all: the concept??? Illegal.
Italian mafia boss ✔️
Immortal blood demon (NOT a vampire, stop asking) ✔️
Mid-40s MIT professor FMC who is smart, tired, underappreciated, and DONE apologizing ✔️
Workplace romance where HR would simply pass away ✔️
The writing actually goes harder than it needs to. Blood demons aren’t a gimmick—they’re a whole species, culture, legacy. Blood is power. Blood is survival. Blood is foreplay. The mafia side doesn’t feel pasted on either; it’s baked into the bones of the story. No info-dumping, no hand-holding—just “keep up or perish” energy.
NOW. AUDIO TIME. 🧎‍♀️
Aiden Snow as Marco DeVita should be illegal to stream without supervision. The voice? Cold. Controlled. Starving. Sounds like he hasn’t known peace since 1423 and refuses to start now. Every line feels like he’s either about to commit murder or bite someone lovingly (guess which one I’m rooting for). His restraint alone deserves its own star.
Dani Soleil as Anna is PERFECT. Smart without being stiff. Vulnerable without being a doormat. You can literally hear the moment she stops playing small and starts thinking, “oh… I could ruin my life and enjoy it.” Her growth hits harder in audio because you hear the confidence settle in.
Together?? The chemistry is doing laps. Even when the spice is minimal (slow burn truthers rise up), the tension is unhinged. This is the kind of audiobook where NOTHING is happening and yet everything is happening. Breathing is suggestive. Silence is threatening. Eye contact is a felony.
Is it twisty? Not really. Did I care? Absolutely not. I wasn’t here to be surprised—I was here to be seduced and mildly threatened. And it delivered.
By the end, I was: ✔️ pacing
✔️ feral
✔️ googling “when is book two audio”
✔️ questioning my life choices
That epilogue??? A personal attack. A promise. A threat.
Final Verdict:
If you like your romance dark, your MMC immortal and morally bankrupt, your FMC brilliant and grown, and your audiobooks capable of ruining your peace—this one will do it. Press play. Regret nothing.

Thank you to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and Katelyn Brehm for the Audio ALC/ARC—this feral audiobook experience was provided in exchange for my honest thoughts. 🎧🩸

Her Dark Salvation by Katelyn Brehm is a paranormal mafia romance. Vampire demons combined with mafia? Well yes this was so intriguing to me and I knew I had to read it! I did immersive read this along with listening to the audiobook. The narration of Aiden Snow and Dani Soleil really brought the characters to life and made them more real.

The tension between the two main characters that had me anticipating their interactions. I’m also a sucker for dual point and getting insight into each of their thoughts, particularly Marco in Her Dark Salvation.

The mafia aspect of the story is much more predominant over the paranormal side and dark mafia romance readers would enjoy that aspect. It makes it seem a much more natural and I found myself at times forgetting that he is a vampire blood demon until well he did vampire things.

Marco Devita is magnetic and alluring with his dark eyes and dominate presence-mastering his dual roles as a powerful businessman and a blood demon with dangerous ties to the underworld. Marco also has a compelling backstory that is revealed slowly through narration and gives insight into his backstory and character.

Anna is intelligent, brave as she completely overturns her life and career to pursue her passion which is admirable. She is anxiety ridden and that made her totally relatable because she isn't superhuman or with extraordinary strength. She is also older and not a teen or young adult. She is in her 40s wanting to reinvent myself and stop hiding in a classroom at MIT.

Anna wants to prove she isn't just a mousey professor. But reinventing herself and entering into Marco's world to uncover corporate theft may prove more than what she expected in this office romance. For Marco, Anna challenges his beliefs about love and power with their dynamic. Their partnership sparks intense chemistry and blurs professional boundaries. They begin a dance of attraction while they confront secrets that intertwine business and the supernatural. A deliciously dark slow burn that is sure to satisfy.

With the way this first book ended I absolutely cannot wait for the next book. I am hooked and can’t wait for the second book!

I did recieve this book from the author along with the audiobook. I am very thankful to have been given the chance to read this early and listen along in my new favorite way of reading- [immersive].

All opinions are mine.

Her Dark Salvation is the first book in the Bonded in Blood series of interconnected, paranormal mafia romance standalones.

What I loved the most about this book was its FMC, Anna Barone. Not only was she 45 (I love main characters who are 30+), she's also a highly intelligent and competent MIT professor. The fact that Anna wasn't this 20-something innocent virgin or sheltered mafia princess brought something different to both the mafia romance and the paranormal/fantasy romance elements of the story. Anna was like a breath of fresh air, and her slow burn relationship with immortal blood demon (vampire-adjacent) and mafioso Marco really hooked me. Marco looks like he's in his 50s, although his actual age is much older. The age discrepancy didn't feel like an issue at all in this particular scenario because Anna is having a "midlife resurgence" so she's already lived her life (not all of it, obviously lol, she's only 45) and has figured out what is important to her.

Her Dark Salvation wasn't as spice-heavy as I thought it would be, and I really like how the paranormal side of things was introduced quite gradually. So if you're familiar with mafia romances, it feels familiar to start with, but the paranormal/vampire side of things kicks in gradually as the story progresses. The spice does kick in in the last 25% but it was nice that the first 75% was driven by the plot as well as the emotional connection and sexual tension between the main couple.

I listened to the audiobook version of Her Dark Salvation and I really enjoyed this format for it. The dual narration of the audiobook was well done. I do prefer duet narration, especially when both narrators are so good (like here) that you just want to hear them do their main character's voice all the way through. But that's just a personal love of duet narration and a sign that they embodied their respective main characters so well.

The book had a really strong lead in to book two as well, and I'll definitely be picking up the rest of the series to see the next few couple pairings! I absolutely binged this and I'll be grabbing the audiobooks for the rest of the series too.

Her Dark Salvation by Katelyn Brehm is a compelling start to a new series that twists some of my favourite genres in new ways that I loved. For starters, it’s a mafia romance, which I adore, but it’s a paranormal mafia romance!? Maybe I’m missing out on this particular genre, but this is my first and I loved it. Vampire-like demons combined with mafia? Sign me the heck up.

This book had some next level face fanning tension between the two main characters that had me addicted to their interactions. It was perfection. I’m also a sucker for dual point of view chapters alternating between the main characters, and I very much enjoyed this aspect of Her Dark Salvation, getting insight into each of their thoughts, particularly Marco’s who is a bit of an enigma, impossible to read from Anna’s perspective.

The mafia aspect of the story was much more predominant over the paranormal side and I actually liked the book far more for it. It makes it seem a much more natural part of the world without overwhelming the story itself and I thought it made the two different sides of the story mesh together much better.

Marco also had a very compelling backstory that is doled out bit by bit and gave insight into where he came from and what his long life has been like since his start. This made him a very interesting character and had me eager to learn more about him.

Anna herself was also one of my favourite parts of the book. She’s intelligent, brave as she completely overturns her life and career to pursue her passion, and she is relatable as hell. Nerve induced sweaty palmed queen representing us fellow anxious folk who can’t control the anxiety sweats in social situations. I died from laughter at one particular scene involving wiping said sweaty palms on expensive clothing in preparation for a handshake. Sans the expensive clothing part, can relate. Needless to say I felt very seen in Anna’s character. Another notable part of her is that she is in her fourties which I feel isn’t something I see often, if at all in this kind of genre, so it’s a breath of fresh air and I think really opens up the demographic this book will appeal to.

With the way this first book ended, with Marco making an important decision for his business and family, and the choice between him and Anna, I absolutely cannot wait for the next book. Not to mention Luca and Siobhan who I very much want to see more of and get more insight into their relationship. They definitely very deeply intrigued me outside of the two main characters and I’m obsessed with knowing more of their backstory. I am hooked and can’t wait for the second book!

Oh my dark and delicious goodness, where do I even begin with Her Dark Salvation?!

This book has everything: a mafia romance, a midlife glow-up, and just enough paranormal spice to keep you begging for more! 😈🔥

Meet Anna—our 45-year-old, sharp-as-hell professor who’s ready to swap stuffy academia for something a bit... wilder.

Enter Marco DeVita, the dangerously sexy blood demon who has his eyes on her—for both her brilliant mind and her irresistible blood. This is no ordinary game of cat and mouse; it’s a full-on chase with electric chemistry and a dark edge that’ll leave you biting your lip! 😏🐾

From their first encounter, the tension is sizzling.

The slow burn? Absolute chef’s kiss.

And when things finally ignite… let's just say you might need a fan (and some ice water). 🔥

Their banter? Witty, flirty, and charged with so much energy I was practically kicking my feet in delight. This boss knows exactly what he wants, and Anna is all too happy to challenge him. 🙌💥

Anna is a total vibe—fierce, sassy, and relatable AF! This is a woman on a mission, reclaiming her life and going after what she wants. We need more bold, mature heroines like her! 💪

And Marco? Oh, he’s a dominant, brooding force of nature with a dark side that’s both terrifying and totally irresistible. Plus, his backstory? Layers on layers, making every page more delicious than the last.

As for the world-building—Katelyn Brehm nailed it! Imagine the mafia's gritty underbelly blended with a twist of the supernatural. You can practically feel the danger, the betrayal, and the heat coming off the page! 😱

Oh, and that cliffhanger? Left me breathless. Jaw dropped. I need the next book, yesterday! Luca and Siobhan better get their time in the spotlight, too, because I'm ready for more of everything. 😍

In short, Her Dark Salvation is a wild, sexy ride you won’t forget. For fans of paranormal romance, mafia drama, and mature love stories with all the spice—run, don’t walk, to grab this one!💋

Her Dark Salvation by Katelyn Brehm
Bonded in Blood Book 1
Rating: 4/5
Release Date: 18 July 2024

"Her Dark Salvation" captivated me from start to finish! The characters and storyline were absolutely enthralling. What resonated deeply was the portrayal of the female lead—a strong, outspoken 45-year-old whose strength and authenticity I truly admired.

This office romance takes an exhilarating twist when the charming, dirty-talking boss is revealed to be a demon. Marco Devita is magnetic with his dark eyes and commanding presence, navigating his dual roles as a powerful businessman and a blood demon with dangerous ties to the underworld.

Anna Barone, a respected professor at MIT known for her financial expertise, enters Marco's world to uncover corporate theft. Their partnership sparks intense chemistry and blurs professional boundaries, as they confront secrets that intertwine business and the supernatural. In Marco's realm, where primal instincts reign, Anna challenges his beliefs about love and power, leading to a slow-burning romance woven with suspense and passion.

The novel expertly blends dark romance with paranormal intrigue, crafting a narrative that kept me hooked with its compelling plot and well-developed characters. Marco and Anna's journey is a thrilling exploration of forbidden love amidst danger and revelation, showcasing the author's talent for creating an emotionally resonant and captivating story.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and the author, Katelynn Brehm, for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review.

Disclaimer: the author is a dear friend

Mafia romance is one of the last things I would usually pick up. But this is compelling and character-focused with palpable tension - and a mystery driven by a smart woman. I have found myself thinking of this again and again since I read it. And… I want the second book now. So, good enough to convince a non-believer - and if you’re here already, see if it convinces you too

ARC REVIEW: Her Dark Salvation by Katelyn Brehm, releasing on Friday, January 23, 2026!

This one was sexy, suspenseful and genuinely enjoyable..Dark mafia energy, an older FMC (she’s 45 🙌🏽), and an MMC who is a blood demon in the Italian mafia… 🙋🏽‍♀️
This was my first ALC and it definitely won’t be my last. Katelyn Brehm nailed the balance of mature but still flirty and dangerous..this book flows easily and keeps you locked in.

Anna is a 45-year-old MIT professor who’s tired of her life feeling small and predictable. She wants more. So when she takes a job working for Marco DeVita, things escalate fast. Their attraction is immediate and mutual. She’s very into his dark, dominant presence and he is fully obsessed with her…and her blood 😏

There’s a full plot running alongside the romance, which I loved. Marco brings Anna in to help figure out who’s stealing from him so he can flush out a traitor in his crew. Watching them work together while the tension keeps building was one of my favorite parts. They’re both capable, communicative, and aware of what they want. Loved the lack of childish nonsense / dragged-out misunderstandings.
And y'all… reading about an FMC who isn’t 19 and clueless was a DELIGHT 😂 Anna knows herself, maybe questions somethings but she lets herself want things. That midlife awakening hit without turning heavy or preach-y
Also need to shout out the audiobook narrators. Narration can ruin a story FAST for me if it’s not done well, but both narrators were excellent and kept me fully locked in.
keeping my eye on Katelyn Brehm because I would absolutely read more.

Huge thank you to @katbrehmwrites and @blush_audiobooks for this ALC!!! 💚💚💚

I fell in love with Anna in the beginning while she was trying to find herself and do what “she” wanted to do with her future.

She takes a job that’s recommended by her best friend and that is how she meets Marco, because she will be working for him and his company. Her friend doesn’t give her all of the details of the job, so she has no idea what she is getting herself into until it’s too late.

Marco has many different sides to him :-) All Marco knows is that somebody is taking money from his company and he needs to find out who and now, so he hires an outside consulting firm. So he’s caught off guard when Anna enters the room and he doesn’t have time for a distraction like this. Immediately he feels drawn to Anna but he fights it as long as he can.

I loved how he pushed her buttons and even though he was this tough Mafia guy she stood she ground with him and sassed him back.

When things go down around Marco will he realize what he needs to do before it’s too late?

I loved this book and can’t wait to get Luca’s book to see how he redeem’s himself. I have a feeling he will somehow.

Duet narration of this book was performed by Aiden Snow and Dani Soleil. They did an awesome job on Marco and Anna, plus all of the many side characters that were part of this story. Sometimes that is hard to pull off but they did.

I loved how this story slowly unraveled, revealing layer after layer as the plot progressed. Watching the characters grow and change throughout the book was one of my favorite partstheir development felt natural, emotional, and earned. The slow burn was done perfectly, allowing the tension between the main characters to build in a way that kept me completely invested in their journey.

Her Dark Salvation by Katelyn Brehm hooks you into this world for a wild ride. The characters were captivating (and THANK YOU for a FMC in her 40s!) and I was invested in their journey together, along with finding out who was behind the betrayal. Also, Aiden Snow and Dani Soleil are perfect as Marco and Anna and this audiobook was just really well done overall.

Wow! This book was a trip! I hadn't read something like this before! Kate Brehm blended the mafia romance trope and a bit of fantasy to create this entire new dynamic that I very much enjoyed. You would not think that mafia and demon romance would go together but the blend was seamless. I was truly invested in both elements of the plot.
Marco and Anna are not that you'd think would work so well together but they do. Marco never saw Anna coming, but when she enters his world he can't help but to be consumed by her. She quickly becomes the center of his world and he'll do anything for her. Anna may seem like a demure, submissive woman but she definitely has a strong willed and brazen side to her. She is exactly the kind of woman Marco needs.
I truly loved these characters and was thoroughly invested in the plot. I cannot wait to see what book two brings!

I really enjoyed this book! The ties between a mafia style romance along with the blood demon aspect made it such a fun read. The author does an amazing job making the setting come alive and I really felt like I was part of the Boston underworld!

The FMC was SO refreshing in this book. Not only was she not 19, but she was 40s, curvy, and very intelligent! Marco was everything I wanted in a mafia boss/ blood demon! He was dark, mysterious, and obsessed. The burn was slow but when they burned, danggggg ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥🥵😮‍💨!

Such amazing narrators. Their performance was fabulous

Marco is a sexy mafia boss that just so happens to be an immortal blood demon. He is convinced someone is stealing from him so he hires an outside company to help him Investigate. Not expecting Anna whatsoever.

Anna is a quiet professor that is looking to branch out in her life. She’s tired of teaching and wants new experiences. Taking a break from her job , she gets offered a consulting job that intrigues her.

Through forced proximity and mutual attraction these two are captivating and the chemistry is undeniable.
