Everything You Want From a Fantasy
This book was everything I want in a fantasy romance.
Capri is an absolute badass FMC. She's resilient, driven by revenge for reasons that actually make sense, and every decision she makes is backed by a strong moral compass. I loved that she wasn't just powerful. She fought for what she believed was right and her strength was earned.
Granger and Capri's relationship was exactly what I hope for in romantasy. He would burn the world for her, and she's just as fiercely loyal to him. Their devotion to each other never wavered, and it made every emotional moment monumental. Their love was built on trust, respect, and unwavering faith in one another.
The second half is packed with action, shocking twists, and betrayals that completely changed the course of the story. Some of the biggest betrayals came from the people who should have protected Capri the most.. her vile father.
The ending left me longing for book two. It leaves off on cliffhanger, and while it broke my heart, I have no doubt Capri will keep fighting for what's right. Her resilience is what made me love her so much, and I can't wait to see where her journey goes next.

This book had me absolutely hooked from the very beginning. Capri was an absolute badass && I loved watching her growth.
I cannot wait for this book to be out in the wild for everyone to read && love!! There is a cliffhanger at the end that will emotionally scar you (we love that, here) buttt it was so so good.
Granger can be everyone’s new dragon daddy 😏

This one is hard for me to review because I really enjoyed it… I also know exactly why it wasn’t a 5-star read for me. It’s hard to explain what I liked about this book because before I knew it - IT WAS DONE. 😂 I was completely sucked into the story.
I loved the world, the dragons, the politics, and the larger story Abby is building toward with the Bloodworthy trilogy. And knowing her writing, I have a feeling the next book is going to be better as everything starts tying together because that trilogy is worth its weight in GOLD.
But… here, I wanted more. Specifically, I wanted more emotional and character development. Capri starts this book as a badass. She’s confident, powerful, and capable. She’s very protective of her mother, knows how to fight and how to survive. I like her. But by the end of the book… she’s still Capri.
I needed everything she went through to change her in some way. To see the experiences she had, the people she met, things she learned, and everything she was forced to confront actually reshape some part of her. Instead, I felt like I was watching an already fully formed character move through a really entertaining story. She didn’t have to become someone because she already was someone.
That’s the biggest reason this landed at a 4.25/5 for me. If anyone knows anything about my reading style it’s the emotional growth, the character arc/development, the psychological sense the character does or doe not make that draws me in. Did I cry, laugh or feel strong emotions? I don’t need a character to start broken and end fixed. I don’t even need some huge personality transformation. I do need to feel like what happens to a character matters enough that they aren’t standing in the same place or close to it at the end.
Capri kind of was, that’s not to say she doesn’t have obstacles to face in book two that I’m not looking forward to. I absolutely am! That said… I fucking loved watching her interact with Granger. Especially because she doesn’t just hand him her trust. There is a moment where she basically tells him: Trust is earned. YES. And I loved that Granger actually has to show her who he is through his actions. He protects and respects her. He pays attention to her and learns what matters to her.
There are several moments where he makes it very clear that he sees her as an equal rather than someone who needs to be managed or spoken for. I loved that dynamic. He doesn’t need to make her smaller to protect her. And Capri doesn’t suddenly become weaker because she’s around someone powerful.
I also really enjoyed watching her learn the dragon culture. Because when people underestimate her later, assuming she doesn’t understand their rules, she basically gets to say: Actually, I was paying attention.
And then she fucking proves it. That’s my kind of FMC.
It was entertaining. I flew through it. I loved the world, the dragons, Granger, Everett, and especially Capri’s confidence and competence. But for me, the difference between a 4 and a 5 is often character evolution. I needed more of it here.
That said, I already know Abby’s writing, and I know this story is connected to the Bloodworthy trilogy.
So I’m absolutely continuing. Because if the emotional and character development catches up to the worldbuilding and the badassery? Oh, we’re going to have a problem. 😂 I mean that in the best possible way.

This book delivered on everything it said it would. Capri is what I need in a FMC, strong, intelligent, and loving. She will do what she needs to do to in order to save her mother. Granger, the MMC shows the dragon how to be a king and mate in every sense of the words. This ends on a cliffhanger so I will wait on pins and needles for it.

My rating is 4.5 stars. But Goodreads doesn’t do half’s. It would be a 5 but sometimes I found myself wanting to do other things and not get back into the book. But when it started picking up I was hooked.
Now, I came across this author on TikTok . She was looking for arcs so I signed up. While signing up I saw another arc for the 2nd book in this series so I was like okay.. I’ll check it out. I was not disappointed. I felt the book is well written and that the events moved at a nice pace. I think the cliffhanger the book leaves off on is tasteful and leave you wanting more and I’m excited to see what is next. I really hope more people start to read her books.

I loved this book! I especially love the way Abby writes, it keeps me entranced for hours on end. Capri is so wonderfully written, and I love the family she gains throughout the book. I can’t wait for the second one!

Over all, I was quite entertained while reading this book. Probably would have finished it in one sitting if it wasn’t for work and life getting in the way. The authors writing style was very engaging.
You start out immediately with action that hooks you in and doesn’t let go. The FMC is on a mission or test that her father has sent her on to test her abilities. She has no love for her relatives other than her mother and wishes to somehow keep her safe.
The book is very fast paced, which I enjoyed. There really wasn’t a time when it lagged or dulled my interest. The magic is very interesting, but we don’t really learn much about it other than watching the FMC use hers. She is quite powerful, but she should be since she’s a God. However, we see her be resourceful along with being powerful.
The dragons are very interesting. They vary in form and size quite a lot. They are distrustful and some are downright hateful towards the FMC, but most realize they need her help.
The MMC doesn’t act quite like the FMC has been told he would. Their interactions/relationship develop quite quickly, but I did like how it evolved. They are ‘enemies' and test each other during their first meetings, but they are never hateful to one another. There is a forbidden aspect to them that they have to overcome. I loved their interactions together and how they didn’t hold the other back. Instead, they made each other better.
Now the ending, it was some cliffhanger. I definitely was not ready for the little surprise about the FMC. The ending broke my heart and made want the next book immediately.
Definitely will be waiting on the next book, and I would absolutely read more from the author.

She has her own beautiful, kind mother and her best friend Valor. They will do anything for her.
She is put through so many “tests” by her father and brothers and then told she has to conquer the dragon world in order to live in peace with her mother and friend.
She does the impossible and find her fated mate in the process and my god I didn’t think I’d find a dragon to be absolutely delicious but here I am! I volunteer as tribute.

He sends her to a world filled with dragons, that happen to be at war. She finds a mate she didn't expect since they're different species and secrets about who she truly is by someone thought to be dead. This book ends in a cliffhanger after her family invades the lands and separates the mates in the hopes that her father can gain the power he thinks he's owed.

I struggled a bit with the novel strictly because I tend to gravitate towards strong FMCs. Capri appears to be a strong FMC to start, living fairly independently and standing up for herself and her mother, but soon you start seeing her actions and hearing her inner monologue where she chooses to defend her evil father and family despite them never treating her well and clearly using her. Her naiviety throughout the book drove me nuts until the very end. I like the world building, love the MMC and his friends but Capri's inability to see her situation is bonkers

The plot was excellent and paced very well. I was sucked in from the first page. I had to force myself to stop reading and go to sleep a few nights. Capri and Granger are both super lovable characters and are so perfect together. Also super lovable side characters like Caspian and Everett and even Callahan(I knew he’d come around). I am super excited to see what all unfolds in the next book. I don’t know how I’m going to wait because it was getting unbelievably good!!

This was my first Abby Moore book and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I binge read it in a single day 😂
If you enjoy a fast-paced book with shifters, fated mates, political intrigue, found family, and touch her and die energy, The Court of Unforgiving Gods is for you!
While I tend to prefer my reads to move a SMIDGE slower with the romance and interest, I was still highly invested in the storyline and devoured this book. Capri is a god enduring trials to gain favor from her king god father and god half brothers (who all hate her because she’s the result of an affair and has more power than them). For her final trial, she’s sent to Beithir—world of the dragons—to win over King Granger and rule. Problem is, the dragons HATE the gods. Capri goes through a lot of shit trying to gain their favor and learns a lot about the dragons, their war, her family, and herself.
I will say…this book DOES end on a CRUEL cliffhanger and I feel personally victimized by Abby for it 😂 BUT I’m very excited to read book two of this duology!

Well I started this book with not much research behind it. But when I tell you this is a GREAT read I’m not even joking. There isn’t much world building but has a great story line. One minute you think ope this is the EML then bam your wrong the spice is just perfect and the ending is making me want that second book even more!!!!
I love the dragons, magic, and world in it all. However hate the dad he can F off. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2!!!

Abby never fails to write an AMAZING book! I loved everything, from the fmc and mmc to the plot. Everything is so well written. The ending has you needing more! I loved everything the plot, I love the relationship and friendships. I did not want to put it down, a super easy read! This fmc might just be my favorite! She is sassy and I am HERE for it!! Cannot wait for the next book!

But what Capri finds when she arrives on this new world with turn her world upside down.

The Court of Unforgiving Gods is absolutely phenomenal. Abby Moore builds a world that grabs you from the first page and refuses to let go. The characters, the magic, the tension, everything is crafted with such heart and intensity. I couldn’t put it down.

I was a little worried about this book since it was off to a slow start but around 20% in, things started to get juicy. Our FMC Capri has quite a few tricks up her sleeve and I was honestly left speechless. Our MMC is King Granger and oh my, if you love a he fell first trope this book is for you. There’s banter, there’s spice, there’s plot twists that you weren’t expecting. There are definitely a lot of things that were left unanswered but because this is an incomplete series I am very curious and excited to see how we get the rest of the information in the other books. This book does end on a cliffhanger so as soon as the next book gets announced I will be rereading this! I would highly recommend this book for your next romantasy!

I was so hooked I finished this in 2 days! And the ending?! I will be impatiently waiting for book two cause I had to check multiple times I wasn’t going crazy! Capri and Grangers story is so loving and I just need more.

What a WILD ride — Endless action, passion, and addictive banter!!
I absolutely loved Capri and Granger’s dynamic. Capri is an absolute badass FMC and despite how horrid her life has been, she always rises above. And there’s nothing I love more than a broody, morally grey MMC. Bonus points that Granger’s a dragon shifter.
Though, that cliffhanger was absolutely diabolical — My hearts racing, I’m sick to my stomach, and I need book two NOW.

Abby always writes the best books and this one didn't disappoint! The cliff hanger at the end had me gasping and tapping my kindle for more. It had love, tragedy, & spice. Definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed this book and gave it 4.75 stars but rounded up to 5! Abby writes so so well and gosh darnet left me on a cliff hanger, which i love but hate BC I NEED MORE NOW. but holy cow our FMC is a complete badass. if you enjoy a badass FMC, dragons, etc. this book is for you! highly suggest picking it up!

Amazing book and an easy 5 star. I loved all the components of the book, crazy strong fmc, enemies to lovers, war, politics, unique magic system, unexpected plot twists, easy to follow world building, super strong cliff hanger that has me wanting more, and family vs. family. This book reminds me “Percy Jackson” and I love that series and I highly recommend reading this.
